Got an email saying SLC date got canceled, did anyone else receive any info regarding shows being canceled for other dates?

I live in Eastern Europe, and it's honestly terrifying to watch how someone handed out slanderous flyers at a concert without a single accusation from the victim and all yesterday's fans, friends, and musicians instantly turned their backs, without even trying to get to the bottom of it.

The world isn't black and white, and it never was. You deserve sterile AI artists.

The main "evidence" is a flyer some random guy spread with no validation. The flyer headline said he's a "rapist".

Greep said he tried to make a move by kissing a girl without her consent and he misread the situation and apologized to her right away.

So until there's a further notice I think its the best not to go out and spread misinformation (possibly) because it could ruin his career for nothing because he may have not done it.

I do not tend to believe some random guys that give flyers and hope nothing happened.

I hope this situation will be dealt and we will get a message of what happened.

So his statement was essentially he went to bars and met people, then ended up at a house party and misread a situation and made someone uncomfortable and felt shitty and embarrassed about it. (Probably kissed them?)

This is a very human interaction and while of course unfortunate I believe this is being blown WAY out of proportion.

I promise everybody you love or look up to has done something worse than drunkenly misreading a social signal and making an uncomfortable situation.

This is so fucking weird and the image of the flyer and them all scattered outside the venue is truly insane. Been following Geordie's music career for years now and seeing his name on a piece of paper like that, scattered all over the floor is just... shocking and nuts and seems like a really unhelpful way of dealing with something potentially serious.

Personally I am waiting for more info, a serious accusation of r*pe printed on a flyer being handed out by a shady, anonymous figure outside a gig and then an impulsive explanation by the accused in front of a live audience is just insane, I've never heard of anything like that. And then he played a solo set straight after?? This is at risk of getting out of hand and could get in the way of what is important here; the accusers truth.

Let's all take a step back and not muddy the waters anymore. Thoughts with any potential victim always.

I don't understand? People can read signals wrong and go in for a kiss or something that doesn't make them awful? It's about the response after, the intent and the nature

Going in for a move, the person not reciprocating and stopping immediately and apologising doesn't make someone a terrible person

Acting as if half these people haven't misread a signal before and made someone uncomfortable whether that be sexually or in another way

As I said if he stopped and apologised immediately when she expressed discomfort like he should think to be a little more careful but nothing more than that
Misreading signals happens, it doesn’t automatically make someone a sexual deviant

Also we have to admit these flyers are completely counterproductive and the motive behind them seems to be stirring stuff up instead of actually raising awareness

Idk why everyone in this generation has so much moral perfectionism

But we will wait and see till more comes out, although at the moment I don't get why everyone's suddenly calling him disgusting? (If what he is saying is the truth)

We shall see if a further statement comes out from the woman involved although right now I don’t think there’s anything to be said or any fuss to be caused as his explanation clears it up fine in my eyes

Edit - if he done something horrible this doesn’t excuse it at all but another thing is it’s very obvious that Greep is autistic so very awkward

Spoke with some band members after the show. I didn’t ask for details but from what they volunteered it seemed like everyone felt it best not to play for career/reputation/cancel culture reasons.

Geordie came out under obvious stress and played a show for the people who’d come to see him after delivering an acknowledgment of the situation. Clearly this was what he felt was best/right in the moment.

I’m seeing people speculate about what the band’s lack of appearance must have meant. Stop. We’re all likely biased and wrong. The touring musicians are contractors. They have a job on the line.

If band members make statements, great. Until then please don’t speculate.

It is so gross how you all are posting memes about an alleged rape. It just shows you don’t actually believe it but want to participate in canceling someone. Because neither of what either party described comes close to rape. And the guy who spread all these flyers sounds like he really enjoyed blowing this out of proportion. And you’re using what Geordie said about making someone uncomfortable as evidence that he is a rapist. As if you assume he’s going to lie and only tell half the truth and that somehow proves rape

But I think everyone should hold their breath for the moment. Leave the show sure, but at least wait until there is a clearer picture. Regardless of what is the case, should at least wait until we know the full picture. For both the woman and Geordie Greep.

I’m sure everyone already knows what happened tonight but I just want to say the way a small minority of the crowd reacted is sickening. Firstly, nobody can draw any conclusions from what happened tonight. But more importantly to what most people aren’t addressing: making jokes about “Geordie creep” or “Geordie grape” is disgusting, it doesn’t matter who you believe. If you believe the allegations are true, you’re making light of the victim’s suffering and if you don’t believe the allegations, you’re dragging an innocent man into the ground. Neither outcomes are good and you’re not supporting anyone. Shame on anyone that thinks this sort of behaviour is tolerable. And wait until more evidence comes out.

i started recording the first bits of the concert but after i didnt have the courage. the preformance of "the magician" was probably one of the best preformances ive ever seen if anyone happened to take a video of it i would love to have it.

Regarding the Geordie Greep situation in Vancouver… this is OP’s GF, i don’t have reddit so i’m asking them to post this. I think the way the victim is coming out about this situation is very odd… regarding what other people at the Vancouver show provided, the man who was handing out posters only said that “his lady friend woke up w him kissing on her” but no other details. I understand staying Jane Doe especially regarding celebrities, but the vagueness is concerning. I feel like the victim and their friend (guy handing out posters) wanted mainly to ruin his reputation instead of maybe trying to file a report? Although i do understand cops are  unreliable often times regarding SA reports, more over though them claiming rape when it was SA..? Also, the lack of information provided pushed Greep to make his own statement, which will be demonized since it’s the ONLY detailed statement out there, AND he is the one being accused of SA. Over all concerning, and I wish the victim would come out anonymously to provide more details.. although I can understand how scary it can be to come out about SA stories as an SA survivor myself. I just feel like also the victim or their friends/team should maybe come out with their own statement, since if they want to be believed as credible a witness or victim statement would help. Also, for people telling Greep to lawyer up or that he should’ve not said anything at all to incriminate himself, if he lawyered up that would look VERY suspicious. SA allegations tend to follow people even if proven false, and if he didn’t address it at all that would also look very questionable. I fear there is not much he can do in this situation at the very moment, since i assume he doesn’t have evidence to back up his claim either currently. Very sad situation all around though

His music and his art has made such a deep impact on my life. If any of this shit's true I genuinely don't know what I'll do.
