So I’m going to the convention in October this year (I’m coming from Australia), landing in Vancouver (doing some travelling on the west of Canada and then flying over to NYC/NJ then flying home from Toronto).
How’s the Canadian/US border going at the moment?
I’m not worried about flying in to Canada at all (fellow commonwealth country) but the US I’m a bit… I wouldn’t say concerned but I’m wondering if any Xenites have recently gone between countries and how it was?
I don’t know if it’s worth getting a car and driving the border from NY to Toronto or is that kind of crazy? I have so much research to do.
I don’t know if I can even handle driving on the wrong side of the road 😂

I’m in the middle of booking a trip to Canada from Australia in September/October this year - starting in Vancouver, doing The Rockies then heading over to the US (NYC/NJ) and back up to Toronto before flying back home.
While I would consider myself a seasoned traveller, especially solo, it has been quite a while! I’m just looking to hear some traveller stories about these Canadian locations as to be completely honest, I don’t actually know that much about Canada! Have always felt very drawn to it though and I cannot wait.
Any experiences or places in these locations that I cannot miss when I’m over there? Anything to watch out for?
I have a lot of research to do but would love to get some insight to peoples Canadian experiences!

I like them both, it’s a bit strange having 2 people interested in you at once but I am enjoying the connection thus far - I have made it clear I’m not wanting anything serious or committed at this stage of my life and it’s working - however - I’ve never been in a situation like this before. I’m wondering if there’s anything I should be wary of when it comes to getting involved with a couple?
I do like them both but feel more passionate and inclined towards the woman…

I used to make Xena/Gabrielle fan vids back in the naughties and did the excruciatingly long process of downloading the right program (I used Sony Vegas) and compile the clips together and then render over and over again to get the right flow. I uploaded a few to YouTube but my YouTube is since gone.
I have not done this now for a long time and I no longer have a desktop computer. I have a MacBook Air 2022.
All my compilations are on old hard drives.
I’m just wondering what program people use to make their Xena/Gabrielle fan videos these days? Should I go back to Sony Vegas?
Also is there a place I can get good quality clips to use ? Without having to actually rip the DVDs and convert them (the most tedious thing you can possibly do - in my experience) ?
I want to pick it back up again because I’m so much older now and have some really good song ideas 💡 that I think would blend beautifully with the connection, I can visualise them and I’d like to see them realised into life.
I’d also like to build on rendered stuff from years ago.
I feel like it’s a million times harder with a laptop?

I’m 33 and I’ve been in a few relationships in my time - while I’ve been compatible enough to commit - I have never, in my entire existence, found a girl who will watch Xena with me.
I started watching it when I was 16 and have tried to get every girl I’ve been with into Xena and not one has liked it.
Not one.
And obviously I can’t force someone to watch and enjoy it. So I just give up.
Can anyone, any couples out there, give me hope that I can find that connection please? 😂
