Need help identifying plugin

Hi all, I know this is going to be almost impossible, but I still wanted to give it a shot.

In the picture there is a processing chain where I just cannot see what the first plugin /vst's is.

I think the second one spells FabfilterProQ4, and the third one is obviously a Delay, but the video is just a little too blurry to see the name of first plugin, which is the most important one since it is the audio source.

Does anybody by any chance recognize the length or something else? I know this is a stupid question but thanks in advance anyway! All the best!

Stuck on specific kick sound design after months of trying

Hi everyone,

For the past few months, I've been trying to recreate the industrial techno kick style commonly associated with Bochka. The defining characteristic of the genre is the kick. Every artist has their own variation, but they all share a similar foundation.

I've spent months trying to recreate this sound, but I still haven't been able to figure out a consistent or straightforward workflow. I've gotten very close, but that process involved resampling the kick created in Serum over 12 times. I find it hard to believe that's how the producers behind these tracks actually work. Especially because in an interview, the artist referenced mentioned that his kick design process is fairly straightforward.

There are plenty of kick sample packs available for this style, but using them feels like it defeats the purpose. The kick is the signature element of the genre, and I'd rather understand how it's made than rely on samples. On top of that, many of the available packs lean heavily on distortion, whereas I don't think excessive distortion is actually what defines this particular sound.

At this point, I'm pretty stuck, but also too stubborn to give up, which is why I'm making this post. I've even reached out to one of the artists who offers masterclasses. However, this scene is fairly gatekept and not very accessible outside Eastern Europe, and I have a feeling the more specific processing techniques behind these kicks aren't covered.

My current workflow is creating the initial kick in Serum and repeatedly resampling it until it starts to resemble the sound I'm after. I've also discovered that grain delay can help create the characteristic resonance, but it usually requires a lot of corrective EQ.

I've watched the tutorials from creators like Graph and Marcin, but their approach doesn't match the style I'm referencing below. The Bochka/Neobochka subreddit also seems to focus on a slightly different sound.

This is the track I'm mainly referencing:

You can also hear this style of kick throughout this mix:

If anyone has figured out a more straightforward way of creating this type of kick and is willing to share their knowledge, I'd genuinely appreciate it. I'm even happy to compensate you for your time, so feel free to send me a DM. Even any idea’s / tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, and all the best!

Pitch envelope kick help

Hi all, I know this is a very simple thing for most people remotely familiar with Serum 2, but I am not.. Can somebody possibly recreate this (without the distortion/processing), and share the parameters with me? And if its not possible to recreate with one Serum instance, can anybody share some insight? Thanks in advance!

2x Maschine+ MIDI sync: how do I stop transport from syncing but keep clock?

Hi all, running 2x Maschine+ in a MIDI sync setup and hitting a problem.

I’ve got both units playing full stem-based projects. Maschine 1 is the master sending MIDI clock to Maschine 2 so everything stays in tempo.

Issue: when I enable sync, not only tempo is linked but also transport (play/stop). So when I hit play/stop on the master, the second Maschine follows too.

What I want:

MIDI clock sync only (tempo locked)
Independent play/stop on each Maschine+
So I can manually trigger Track B while Track A keeps running
Is there any way to disable transport sync on Maschine+ while keeping clock sync, or is this just not possible and should I buy a Nome 2 (or similar)?

The reason I need this is because I have some very long audio plugins with stems that have very long slow modulation.

Thanks in advance!

Maschine+ change pad trigger mode for audio

Hi all, I’ve run into an issue that I can’t seem to find any information about online.

I exported multiple stems from Ableton into the Maschine+ and assigned them to separate pads as Audio modules, not Samplers, because I want them to stay quantized. The problem is that the stems only play while I’m holding down the pad.

I already have the mode set to Loop, so the audio keeps playing as long as I hold the pad, but I need it to work as a one press trigger. Basically, I want to tap the pad once to start playback instead of having to hold it down.

Does anyone know where to change the trigger mode for this?
