A will and a half from start to finish.

A will and a half from start to finish.

About a week and a half after the initial flank pains that sent me to the ER, I finally passed this thing in the middle of the night. The actual passing was fairly uneventful thankfully. I didn't even know it had made it to my bladder tbh.

First ER trip yesterday

Went to the ER last night with severe side/flank pain and was diagnosed with a 5mm after a CT scan. The pain was incredible and non stop until I was given dilaudid. I was given flowmax and a prescription for Oxy to help manage my pain but not much more direction. Today I took the day off work but there's still pain on my side but much more manageable. I messaged my pcp about what to do next but I may not hear from them for a couple days. I'm terrified of going to work tomorrow and having another spell... What's the general course of action here? I can't not work. Does a pcp refer me to a urologist? What can a urologist do to help me deal with it? I don't deal with medical stuff normally. It took me 2 months to finally go to the Dr after unknowingly partially tearing a tendon at the base of my index finger

It feels hopeless

Just got the numbers back from a loan officer here in socal. We make too much for most programs. But doing a rough calculation with our numbers he came back with a max home price of $365k at 6% and a 3.5% down payment *just* to get our monthly payment to what we pay in rent currently ($2845). Only problem is there are zero homes at that price in our area. Anything close doesn't qualify for financing because it's in disrepair, it's 55+ or it's in a mobile home park (nothing against parks or just doesn't fit us).. Not to mention those homes are in one of the worst cities around... I didn't have my hopes up at all but to see it in writing and how far away we are is pretty frustrating

43M in SoCal. I got 20 years at my current job making about $95k/yr and at 30 my pension will be topped out. I hate my job. I enjoy the work but absolutely hate dealing with customers. Sometimes I'll go home early just to avoid it. What kinda degree can a high school graduate get where I can work without having to deal with customers daily. I enjoy working with numbers, math. My only hobbies really are music and sports and lifting in my garage.. I just don't even know what's out there...what's worth it and what will be relevant... Looking for ideas!! Tia!!
