Kenma (Final Exam) - Used Baseball FAQ

Kenma (Final Exam) - Used Baseball FAQ

Welcome back to another faq starring out 5th version of him, or otherwise known as the brain of Nekoma - kenma (final exam). To begin this faq, I'll begin by stating the 1st and most usual question -

Why pull for Kenma?

With the recent addition of various recieved main/skill tag players in our game - this only encourages players even more making him one of the few setters that would most likely stay with you for the rest of the game. He's not glazed in the sense that he's very pinpointed with players of recieve tag but not to worry, recieve is by far the most common tag in this game - sp players speaking.

More about himself, Kenma functions very well with players especially of recieve skill, to spike themselves. i.e. taketora recieves skill, kenma sets ult, and then taketora spikes is probably the best setup for both players and genuienly is ridiculously powerful (like his ult is literally spammable at base 1 assumign he gets a perfect recieve - dang). I would also like to note that even tho power (or block) is arguably the most powerful specialty, the tag does go thorugh an 'age' where virtually all universal power tag players are ceased to exsist, or basically the long wait to swimming trio. Because of this, recieve will soon be one of the predominant tags given the units to counter will be so little.

Does kenma need his mem? Is it universal? any ssr/ur options?

Yes, kenma definitely needs his memory especially its basically made for his kit of perfect sets. It will allow usage of his ult again due to perfect recieves and will increase the set stat by a signficant amoutn even despite having only one time use per rally. Also note that there are basically no other memories that work with him well.

It can be used on other plyaers, cause who doesn't like having perfect recieves on first touch, but honestly i personally would not use it on any other player given their respective memory would probably be more powerful than kenma's ever would.

Finally, if you're short on mem tickets or saving fro lev/taketora (which even then I still reccomend getting kenma's mem over takeotra's) there are very few options limiting to koganegawa's ssr mem, or you could run a tier V sr mem. imo you'd have to be pretty tight on mem tickets to not pull for this one cause those are very weak options outside of his own sp version.

I'm running kage sr4, hina ssr sr6. Is this worth replacing over for kenma (and eventually lev)?

imo, no at least not right now. You'd be sacrificng really high level stat and their freak quick is really underrated - unblockable and spammable which is ridiculous. However, when more units release (yaku, kuroo vr2), you would defnitely be reasoned to replace for the insane buffs it gives within the game, regardless of the lower base stat. Also the final exam deployment bond is easily the most powerful bond in this game, reasoning why you should run them over hina/kage. And to add, no I would not run a double setter rotation with kenma/lev + oikawa/kage+hina. Kenma wants to touch/set the ball constantly hence meaning he is very pinpointed as a standalone setter.

What potentials should i use on kenma, and stats to aim for?

thx to nova, he has a V2 guide right here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cO42n5bQD8JBBgIoC4npTM2r-Esca831TPgO0XAkFeg/edit?tab=t.0

4 Precise Set + 15% Set

Slot II Set/Strength
Slot IV Receive
Slot VI Set

Substats: Set / Strength > Atk Teq

I would reccomend set over strneght, tho you can't go wrong with building him w/ strnegth. I say this cause he already gives some decent strength buffs to himself, and will recieve more from surrounding teamates including yaku (sr4) and both kuroo's .

How good are kenma dupes?

his sr2 is amazing for him, and the team around him, and his sr4 is underwhelming.

His sr2 basically has an effective way to generate his maintain buffs, causing conversion from bad to perfect per game (or basically providing another atk tempo, (which is really OP if you think about it cause it's so hard to not lose unless they really have a stronger base stat and specialty, and if they win they gain more stacks of maintain then if they're behind). A complete must have for any players who want kenma vr2 teams.

His sr4 for me is pretty underwhelming with no new, game mechanics. It does give some pretty high numbers, but is very team, and game specific. The first half gives a 40% power/quick atk stat, 2 net crossing when a players set is perfect. This required the person to not just have a recieve tag, but isn't even that big. The second gives 200% basic stat when kenma recieves, but generally you don't want kenma recieving.

Late game viability?

It's looking, really, really good. With additonal units that have recently js released in JP, and js the raw strength of kenma teams, he will be a force to be reckoned with for months - if nto the rest of the time you play this game.

TL:DR

Kenma is an amazing unit for any players who want the recieve tag. I strongly reccomend picking up both his sr2 and mem, both which increase his power by so much more. You should also pick up lev too while you're at it, and taketora if you really have been saving assuming you got kamo duo too 😭

Thank you again hfh sub for reading another faq, and until next time ~

Hitoshi Ginjima (Cleanup) FAQ Guide

Hello again haikyuu fly high, and welcome to another FAQ starring our inarizaki ws of the day, Hitoshi Gin. I am sorry for the small delay as most players have already gotten their free gin a couple days ago. It's also too late to pickup his dupes and memory but I will talk about it nonetheless.

Why get gin?

Personally, i like to say Gin is like a much stronger SSR tanaka, and if not for korai, Gin would arguably be the best WS of the time rn in global. Like, I threw him in randomly for the quick attack trial specialty, and I got a 1112k spike, which is like the first time I've ever gotten that 😭

The only nuance with gin is that as said he works like ssr tanaka. he buffs up his 1st, or 2nd spike with crazy stats, and then after he becomes a mediocre unit. I will be discussing this later in the faq.

Is his memory good? Is it universal? Any SSR/UR replacements?

It's a very effective memory for him especially, and is honestly js a nice memory to have as it can be put into virtually any WS along with SP stats which you can't go wrong with. It's not the best one out there, given it takes a solid 6 rallies, and 6 spikes of the same player to max out it's use which would be a pain for cc

As said in hfh builder - ("Increases equipper's Power ATK stat by 12%; increases equipper's Power ATK and Quick ATK stats by 15% for their first 3 spikes in each match; when equipper scores with a spike, increases basic stats of all players on equipper's side by 2%, up to 6 stacks")

tbh any power attack boosting memories such as tanaka both ssr and sp, taketora, bokuto UR and SP or his own ssr memory can work on him given he has the typical WS tags.

Is he actually good as a WS?

Since you get him for free, you're gonna have him anyways, but I would like to discuss a bit about how our WS's are in the meta. If we're talking about the typical WS, it would be a WS with power and recieve tag, usually with the second skill being recieve, ultimate being power.

Funnily enough most WS of recent times in JP are starting to shy away from that typical bond. I would say the typical bar, the best reciever is iwaizumi by far, however his spike is very mid. I would say a first gin spike is one of the strongest spikes along with buffs at base 1 level. Players like bokuto, tanaka or taketora are quite team specific and more probably fall in between those players. So Gin in the broad scheme is suprisingly strong in comparison even without bonds.

Korai SP is the only exception as he excels at both...

What potentials should i use on ginjima, and stats to aim for?

4 Power Rise + 15% Power

Slot II Strength/Power atk
Slot IV Receive
Slot VI Atk Teq/Power atk
Substats: Atk Teq/Strength/Power/Receive

Ginijima is another basic wing spiker, you js build him like so for him to hit hard especially for his first spike.

How good are ginjima dupes?

They are decently strong, but i wouldn't say enough to get more pulls as he is specifically pointed to play with oikawa, and power tag teams.

His sr2 is interesting as it makes him immune to debuffs whilst also gaining 60% power atk stat when performing critical attacks. The main issue is that there are very few players that consistently provide debuffs (tanaka sp, kuroo, tsukki mem etc), so it's not really that useful. 60% power atk stat tho is pretty high.

His sr4 is for me a very mid res given his kit. If this was for different WS it would be very powerful, but given gin only buffs his 1st/2nd spike really well and his next spikes after would be very game specifci, I would say that it's not worth getting especially as there is korai out in this game.

Late game viability?

he's not played in top teams in jp/tw, nor top teams here in global. i would say he's js an above avreag in spiking, alr recieveir. Not worth pulling or saving for him unless you really want him

TL:DR

Gin is a pretty decent WS, especially given he's free so why not. If you have his mem, perfect otherwise tanaka ssr, his ssr counterpart, or any universal WS mem could work perfectly fine.

Thank you again hfh sub for reading another faq, and until next time ~

Appreciation post

Hello again sub!

i'm pretty close to quitting this game, honestly I'm pretty happy with my units and how far i've gone since my start when UR oikawa first bannered. I js wanna thank you all for being really helpful especially with my developed understanding in the faux faq's. Above is my current f2p team, also being my dream team, with 3 specialties, but still completely powercrept by some other units in this game 😅.

I will still be active in this sub, but js wanna thank you all.

Hirugami (Winter Sport) FAQ Guide

With mere hours to korai's friend, welcome back to another FAQ this time on our blocker, the immovable hirugami. To begin this faq, we'll begin by asking the most ovbious question if you don't already know...

Why is Hirugami so glazed?

Every team needs a good spiker, and a great blocker. Technically, any team could bypass with any setter or libero because of their universaility, but by default to play through this game, the kamo duo js happens to be the perfect fit whilst also being able to be thrown into every game. More about Hirugami, his skill 1 alone has an amazing 4 CD reduction, even 2 CD reduction is amazing, but 4? Makes him a must have in block teams especially (especially with aone, futa), yet can still work in every other specialty cause he's that amazing. He also at base is higher in general boasting of a 275% block stat, 15% more of the usual SP unit. That's also what makes him amazing that he can accomodate f2p teams as he works js as well at base, and can work even better at dupes.

Does hiru need his mem? is it universal? Any other options if I can't pull an SP mem?

No, hiru does not need his mem, especially given his mem is specifically for block teams. (I would get the universal beach aone mem)

What makes his mem so awkward is that he needs 4 tags of block or a block team. On top of that, he would need to have players that balance the quick/block so that they can all somewhat reap the benefits the mem that it gives. We do have a decent amount of middles that have that buff but it would ovbiously sacrifice recieve skills, or some units have to be in specifci compositons - in summary it's js really awkward to run his memory, even in a block team (the most ideal being him with final exam, date tech and korai ig)

His own memory is ngl like a general mem, it's not great but if you want it for whatever reason you can throw it onto like tsukki js for fun, like it's not horrible or anything js very team specific.

If you can't get his mem for whatever reason, js get the universal ssr washio mem, or ssr aone mem.

Why does he work with date tech?

I explained sr4 korai, korai and hiru are already an absolute monster. The date tech duo in conjunction with this team makes it meta worthy, and in fact, I think it reached meta level. He works so well cause hiru reduces CD down to 4-8 net crossings at standard. Aone in his skill 1, can use other ults to not js increase the power of his block stat which is really high 50% per ult, (imagine running with r4 korai, hiru, koganegawa, and kuroo) and then further read that he reducts 4 net crossings reaching it down to a low 0-4 net crossings depending on the player. This results in a very powerful ult spam which is really strong not even requiring the recieve tag given the ball might not even go over the net. Even if it does, the block stat is not js so high, but futa has his own atk ult, which I heard can spam further supporting the fact on sr4 korai and base futa. It's amazing really, this can deserve it's own rant and how he works with every other team...back to the faq

What potentials should i use on hiru, and stats to aim for?

Hirugami

4 BM + 15% Block

Slot II Substats
Slot IV Spirit
Slot VI Def Teq

Substats: Def Teq/Spirit/Block

Tbh i watched a video from red panda gaming, you could build with block stat, it's js preference.

How good are hirugami dupes?

I would like to note that hiru is still amazing at sr1, so whilst dupes are very nice, they are not required or gamebreaking enough in that case to get it over say dupes of jazz, or oikawa etc.

SR2 gives a nice CD reduction whenever opponent crits (which is virtually everytime unless the team runs UR atsumu/osamu), and for that block his spirit increases by 40%. He also gains back his serve like his UR, it's pretty nice but honestly i've never found morale awakening to be ground breaking beside bokuto/swimming trio teams out there. It's better than nothing tho, and he guarentees it no crit required so still nice.

imo, if you have no plans for final exams/jazz/any big dupes, then I'd say this is 100% worth it given that he'll be your main blocker for the rest of the game basically no matter your team. It's to get more buffs and get stat higher.

His sr4 is a decent base/block stat/quick stat boost, for 1 turn, and adds some spirit/reflex buffs 6%, 10% respectively. Honestly nothing gamechanging here, or new mechanics, js some nice buffs to the game you can add, and like I said he will be one of your blockers that stay with you. If we're talking best sr4's to get this is definitely not one of them.

Late game viability?

Genuienly, this should be the last of your concenrs with more middles releasing with block ults, aone coming up and the fact thst he's so good at base 1 honestly makes him have no reason to not pull for him.

TL:DR

Hiru is probably the current best blocker in the game, but with kuroo vr2 coming out that could place some controverstory, or aone vr2 in that case. I reccomend rolling for aone beach memory, the fact that he can be utilised in every team not js because of his block ult CD reduction, but his strong base stat makes him worth it.

Thx again hfh sub for reading and until next time~ ✌️

Hina SR2?

Have hina w/ one dupe. Do you think it is possible to get one copy, and hiru, given I have 24 days? He'll probably stay on my team for the rest of the game anyways (planning to get osamu, date tech, firewrok festival kita and yaku, and school banner)

Korai (Winter Sport) Faq - Used-Baseball

This is it.

The moment we've been waiting for.

Our little giant is here.

Many, many patient waiters.

Arguably one of the best units if not the best unit in our game, with one of the longest longevity. Our goat. We've glazed him and his friend, hiru so much it's virtually in every post.

First and foremost, if you don't know I'll begin this faq by asking...

Why is korai so glazed?

Simply put, he is the only player with every single tag and along with his kit can make him work in every single team composition in the whole game. He's essentially the dream unit in this game, and when duped he's an absoltue monster and for me the best unit in the game hands down. I'm actually kinda concerned for my basic kenma quartet and soon to be kamo duo team given we'll have so much sr4 korai's 😅

He also synergises ridiculously well with hiru, like kenma and hina sakura, they compliment each other so well, and their bond is amazing. Especially at sr4, hiru gives 4 net crossing cooldown reduction, and kroai stacks like crazy it wouldn't be suprising if he hit well over 2 million, even reaching up to 3-4 million. Those are js arbitrary numbers and his criticals aren't js limtied to his spikes like aran. he's a monster at blocking and recieving, in fact I saw a video where is recieve on a quick team got more than my tsukki and hina spike 😭

Does he need his memory? is it universal? Any other options?

His memory is a very nice, not exactly universal but gives some nice buffs especially to him. His BiS is easily his SP version or a Tier V UR mem via ascension orbs. It basically gives 6% base stat, and then if he does a different skill then can get 2% atk tech/def tech stacking up to 20%. I would say his Tier V UR mem is better if you don't mind the slightly smaller stat difference.

If you can't get his SP mem for whatever reason, then geuienly any WS mem could work especially if you wanna build him a certain way (like not reccomended but he could be a blocker, or reciever etc)

Does he need hiru to function well?

I'm going to say no but you would have to expect to be underwhelmmed one way or another cause you lose a lot of synergy. Also having every tag si a really nice way to fit more untis that you may like or js have in there for fun. Him and hiru have a lot of future synergy with the date tech duo instantly creating a 4 tag block team meaning you can have another setter/player duo of your choice. You shoudl pick up at least one dupe as he's defintely worth it.

I would say if you can only get one, it would be korai cause of his universailty, that being said, hiru is easily one of the best blockers in this game, with an invaluable 4 cooldown reduction for block ult's making him invaluable especially for block teams.

Ofc you don't NEED the kamo duo in that sense but def worht picking up.

What exactly is this ult spam?

To explain hiru has a 4 cooldown net crossing of blocks. For korai versatile attacks is considered an ult at sr4, meaning it lowers to 4 net crossings. If you read,

"When KORAI HOSHIUMI (Winter Sports) uses Ultimate, Strength and Spirit increase by 40%, stacking up to 200%, lasting 1 turn(s)."

"When KORAI HOSHIUMI (Winter Sports) uses Skills, Spike power increases by 50% of Power ATK stats, stacking up to 150%, lasting 1 turn(s);
When KORAI HOSHIUMI (Winter Sports) uses Ultimate, Spike power additionally increases by 50% of Power ATK stats, stacking up to 150%, lasting 1 turn(s);"

this doesn't js make it hellish for peak, he's a monster in cc.

What potentials should i use on Korai and stats to aim for?

I'll give a small disclaimer, you cna build him however you want if you want to make him a block specialist then go ahead.

This is generally, and probably one of the better pots from NoVa

4 PR + 15% Power

Slot II Strength

Slot IV Spirit

Slot VI Atk Teq

Substats: Strength/Atk Teq/Power/Spirit/Def Teq/Block

You wanna build him so he hits harder as he will def crit throughout the game.

How good are korai dupes?

This goes without explaining. Excellent. Easily one of the best sr4+sr2 combo in the game. If possible I would highly reccomend pulling dupes for him as he will not dissapoint whatsoever.

Late game viability?

I've already said this - he will probably be the one of very few untis that stay in yoru team for the rest of your time you play this game. He's simply that good.

TL:DR

The fact that korai virtually has no bonds in this game and is still considered a must have tells us his kit is insane. i reccomend rolling for his mem, or ascending to tier v ur mem if possible. If possible try to dupe him to sr4, he's still great at sr1. I also reccomend getting hsi friend hiru when he comes around.

Thx again for another faq! It wasn't particularly a long one as it goes without saying, korai is the best. I wish you luck for all your pulls, and until next time hfh sub ~

Advice for Pulls

This is my current position. I do have 32 mem tix, but that should be outside of the question.

I figured that if i pull for osamu rn (cause I have atsumu), then I'll have 140-130 pity, with 90 or so tix give or take. That brings it to 50-40. Taking anni into account, and that I log on daily, do you think it is possible to get both the kamo duo and osamu?

Osamu (Winter Break) FAQ - Used Baseball

Welcome to another FAQ, today we're discussing Osamu Miya, Winter Break.

Why pull Osamu?

Osamu is again one of the few premium quick atk players in the game, making him a must pull for players who desire the quick specialty. His kit also accomodates atsumu's particular style, reducing awareness at the start of every rally. The great thing about this - if you build his atk tech/quick atk stat really high, he can hit like a monster - I tried him out in battle of aces, and he reached decent numbers, and honestly did not disappoint (if his atk tech is high enough he can actually ignore blocks which is amazing given that's not a usual utility unless duped. He also has future synergy with the jazz trio.

What is his BiS (For those who don't know, best in slot, in terms of mem)? Does his mem work on other players? If I can't pull for his SP, then which mem can I substitute?

I'd say his BiS is either his own sp mem, or his tier V UR mem. Cause there's such little SP oppo mem's in this game, hsi mem is a must pull (or if you have his UR then that works). His memories are the only oppo mem's that specifically buff quick atk. It's not a universal mem, hence meaning it won't work on other players like certain memories do, so you'd really only use it on himself. If you pull a dupe, I would reccomend js ascending it.

Finally, if you can't pull for his mem, you could actually substitute kunimi tier V sr mem, which gives a bit more strength than his sp mem. Only letback is the ovbious downgrade in stat. That being said, I think you should still pull for his mem regardless.

Can osamu (winter break) play without his brother?

I'm going to say, yes but it'd have to be a very specific player. Cause there's only two premium quick setters, if you don't have atsumu then your other choice is kage. The only reason why you would play without atsumu is that you have kage sr2, cause osamu then whould have no way to crit himself, nor gain awarness hence making all the strength buffs he gains useless. if you don't have kage sr2, then don't pull for him. The reason why he can't work with say oikawa, is that not like his UR version, his awarneess lowers at the start of every rally. This means, unless you can give him awareness multiple times, quickly, then he won't crit.

I want to get the kamo duo. I have atsumu. What should I do?

I'm sure I'm not the only one here, btu atsumu, and his brother is one of my fav duos in the whole game. (also love kita). If you love these guys, then go ahead. You can test him out in the event battle of aces, and if you deem him worthy, then js go ahead and pull for him.

However, the kamo duo is easily the better option here, meaning if you have a meta focus, or want to pull stronger units then I would save here.

Pots?

Thx to NoVa

4 AE + 15% Quick

Slot II Strength/Quick
Slot IV Substats
Slot VI Atk Teq
Substats: Awareness/Atk Teq/Quick/Strength/Set

The reason on why you would do awarness enhancement is to boost hsi awareness that when it resets to zero, it actually gives him a high stat, 60% to be precise, and after three spikes gains a total of 15% quick atk making a large number of 75%. In addition if you add his tier V UR mem, it gets well over 100%, nearing ranges of 200% quick atk stat which is insane for pots and memories alone. Finally, I would prio atk tech, as once he has 60% atk tech or higher, he guarnetees criticals.

Thoughts on dupes?

tbh both his sr2 and 4 are nice, but not must haves when it comes to the meta. His sr2 gives quick atk stat teamwide and to himself given conditions of when players set (synergy with jazz, and atsumu). It's nice but not a must have given the upcoming units (korai cough cough). His sr4 gives players huge numbers of atk tech when he sets and gives decent set stat (which gives him 50% atk tech), but honestly js decent numbers, nothing game changing but still decent.

Late game viability?

Looking great given kita js came out in jp, and jazz trio. He js works really well, and especially counters block teams which look really strong in the game rn. It's a long wait, but def worth it if you follow the meta like that.

TL:DR

Osamu is a great quick atk unit being a must have for all players that want the quick specialty. I reccomend pulling for his own mem (or his UR mem tier V), and to play with his brother. Osamu is more of an investment into the future rn given we don't have many quick atk units in this game.

Thx again Haikyuu fly high for reading another faq. And unitl next time 🫡~

Used Baseball - Atsumu (Winter Break) FAQ

Hey haikyuu fly high and welcome back to another FAQ. I apologise that I was a bit late, but nonetheless let's begin by talking about one of my favourite characters - atsumu.

Why pull for atsumu?

As there is such little premium quick atk units in this game, atsumu is remarakably only the 4th quick atk unit (if you count tendo) in this game by far making him an invaluable pickup. He also has synergy with his brother, osamu, a hina sakura sr4 makes it amazing, sr1 fine, and ofc has future synergy with the jazz trio.

Only compromise is that he doesn't really work with high awareness teams...so alot of teams meaning that players that like to crit - sakusa, ushi, korai, iwa, oikawa all those people you'd find it hard to pair together. So, like his UR's he's quite center focused. A notewrothy thing however, what made the UR's particularly bad is that they had no way to make them crit - you would need another unit to make them gain awareness over the game (kage sr2, oikawa etc), but atsumu sp can guarentee crits in certain ways so not js can he give atk tech and def tech (an uncommon buff in this game), but can allow players to crit.

Should I pull for his memory? Does it work on anybody else/any substitutes?

As per usual, yes you should go for his memory, and for him and his teamates it's genuinely not a bad memory to pickup, especially on one of the better sides. It basically gives set stat, but more importantly, anybody with below 50% and 30% get 7% base stat and 10% quick/power atk respectively making it a generally nice buffer especially under the assumption that you're playing him with osamu, and jazz trio.

As I said - this memory does not work with any other setters cause it's specifically pinpointed at the fact that the surrounding players have low awareness, especially because it states that it checks at the start of every turn.

Finally, ig his UR would kind of work and it's really hard to make any ssr setter mem's work. Ig you could throw in koganegawa but then again - you should really get his sp cause it's pretty strong and it's a great buffer.

I'm in a dilemma. I want to get kamo duo, but the miya twins are right before them. What do I do?

Kamo duo and miya twins can work with each other cause when korai gains awareness/reflex, this buff actually only lasts for 2 net crossings hence meaning that the mem and atsumu buff can work. It's kinda risky tho cause you'd need some way to give short spurts of awarness which is limited to kage sr2, until the jazz trio or some way to utilise a lot of atk/def tech to crit.

I think kamo duo is more invaluable then atsumu - that being said if you already have the UR, or if you would rather save for jazz trio/miya twins (cause they're a core in and of itself, the other two slots canbe anything) then in those cases - the kamo duo is not a msut have.

I can only get one of the twins. Who should I get?

I think it's kinda in the middle, but js cause there is kage out there, I think I would rather go with osamu. However, if you're getting say korai sr4, or even js getting the kamo duo in general, you can't go wrong with atsumu. He's the 1st sp setter that also has a quick tag hence meaning he'd make a larger impact as the team piller. Also, osamu isn't really much of a team buffer so you wouldn't get the same effect as atsumu.

Does the twins work with tendo?

Ik tendo has passed, but I'm going to say - no they don't really work, unless you have a highly effective strategy to get tendo to crit (gain awareness) during a rally.

Why I say this is if you read his kit, skill 3 "When SATORI TENDO (Winter Break) makes a Critical play, power increases by 65% of corresponding stat; when not making a Critical play, power decreases by 85% of corresponding stat;"

Then you go to his trio bond, winter break, "at the end of each rally, SATORI TENDO (Winter Break)'s Awareness decreases to 0%, and he gains 10% DEF Technique, up to 3 stacks; SATORI TENDO (Winter Break)'s first ball touch each rally is guaranteed to be Critical; at the start of each rally,"

You'll come to realise that cause tendo is built upon his critting (from awareness alone), and that the trio bond compromises that by making him lose awareness. This overall will make tendo hit a lot weaker unless you can make him gain awareness in a rally which is virtually impossible (without having oikawa which js doesn't work with atsumu)

What teamates can he actually go with?

Cause he has a very specifci kit, it's pinpointed at certain players. i'll briefly explain these players.

Hina (sakura), especially his sr4, but base hina can work. THis works cause for hina he guarentees crit WHEN a player (including himself) crits from receviing. That means in game he actually does not have any base awareness like most other players. His sr4 is funny too cause it gives him a massive strength buff, hence meaning if you can make him crit somehow, he'll hit really hard. This is why atsumu is so invaluable for him to get those crits (cause kage sr2 was virtually the only other option).

Jazz trio why I keep saying jazz trio, jazz ttrio is cause they synergise based around set skills, and cause osamu is the 1st to have the setter skill whilst simultaneously being out of the traditional setter role makes it work really well. THe other option hanamaki has less utility one, he's too far away to talk about, two, he has a recieve, so he can't actually join in attacking.

Kita Ovbiously kita ssr would work with the twins given the fact that he doewsn't crit, but his sp counterpart would def work, especially caues it provides debuffs meaning you could throw more awareness giving players (i.e. final exam, oikawa etc)

Tendo? Ik I disagreed to this, but if somebody has personal reviews/thoughts on this topic I would be glad to know more if he can actually be utilised. The bonds provides some decent buffs, that you can't go wrong with.

Pots for atsumu?

Thx to nova

Atsumu :

4 Precise Set + 15% Set

Slot II Set/Strength
Slot IV Substats
Slot VI Atk Teq
Substats: Atk Teq/Set/Strength

You would want to build him with no awareness, but strneght/Atk tech to really make him hit harder. He himself ironically does not mind crits, especially cause if his atk tech is higher than 40% will crit himself meaning you don't need to worry about that.

Atsumu dupes?

As known, if you want to get the future jazz trio, atsumu sr2 is an absolutely must have, and is a really strong sr2 in this game. For players with low awareness, it doesn't js provide the usual atk/def tech, it also lowers net crossings by 2, which works really well with osamu and especially hina jazz (caues his cooldwon is so high). It's also a nice way to reduce his own cooldwon, assuming you have set ults, (which even osamu can genearte if his set percentage is high enough). Overall provides some nice composure with the jazz trio, and a general use for his teamates.

His sr4 provides some nice numbers but there are better sr4's out there imo. He first provides a nice 35% atk tech, 25% def tech if he has 40% atk tech or higher and then can guarentee crits/double effects for his first serve. Def nice, but not overpowered especially cause the second half only works virtually once.

End game?

Looking great for quick teams. The only other premium quick setter has been kage, and quick atk is rising to become a more powerful specialty then it currently is rn in global.

I'm currently split if I want to get atsumu or not cause he's my fav but I'm not sure if I have enough to get the kamo duo. (FOr those who want to know my current gem situation is 10 tix, and 12024 dias.)

TL:DR Atsumu is the opening tone for another continuing 4 quick units that will revoloutines the specialty. I reccomend getting his memory, along with picking up his brohter if possible. I also reccomend duping to sr2 at least.

Thx again hfh sub, this was a longer faq but a nice one. Until next time, hfh sub ✌️

Tendo Faux FAQ

Okayy welcome back to another faux faq. Looks like nura-san must be on holiday or maybe sick so I'm gonna do this again.

Today I'll be talking about our guess monster - tendo

  1. Why pull for tendo?

He has a very unique kit built around his ult multiplying, awareness main, and criticals. I wouldn't say he's the best sp middle, good at blocking (kuroo or hiru are better), or spiking (Tsukki), he's js kinda...works.

I feel like his team is kinda limited to oikawa+ushi teams. It's kinda controvertsia; if he works with the twins mainly cause he want's to crit otherwise he loses 85% stat of that atk, making him hit really weak. Hence, if he crits only once per game, he'd easily be your weakest unit. Yet again, it provides some very nice buffs to the team, and I'm sure you could gain awareness and/or guarentte crits through kage jazz/ur or tsumu.

  1. Should I roll for his mem? Does it work on others?

Quick answer - yes you should roll for his memory, it gives more awareness to his rather large amount, especially cause you want him to crit right off the bat. It basically gives some nice block/quick buffs and 20% awareness. I would say you could go for hina ssr mem but it would provide a debuff or maybe even tsukki sp mem js cause you might not get it. I think he's quite open given his kit is revolved around criticals which all memories for mb especially kinda benefit - heck you can't even go wrong with washio ssr js cause of it's universailty.

Like I said roll for his mem. It think it's universal for giving the nice awareness but you'd rather roll for their respective mem's or get washio ssr mem and js focus on strength.

  1. How does he compare to the likes of other middles like hiru and kuroo?

Like the anime, he's very self centered meaning he js won't hit as hard as he doesn't buff the team. Like at all. Sure he can get some decently high numbers but it's kinda niche compared to the like of how strong both kuroo and hiru can be. Especially what I find an issue with is with how unstable he is. If the rallies last ages and you spam tendo, eventually his block will get so high that you'd never relaly end up using to more than 4 times. Different for hiru or kuroo it's quite stable, and they can be used for CC cause I think tendo ult's would get too long. I think possible synergy with hiru js cause he can get some nice base stat buffs, and then reap his 4 cooldown reduction. He also has some pretty niche bonds. I've already explained the variance in the winter trio, but his bond with ushi is pretty basic, so not very impactufl to influence you to get him over hiru.

  1. What pots?

Complete thx to NoVa:

Tendou

Lone Blocker: 4 FG + 15% Block

Slot II Strength/Substats
Slot IV Spirit/Reflex (Tendou converts 1% Reflex to 2% Spirit)
Slot VI Def Teq/Block
Substats: Spirit=Reflex/Def Teq/Block/Strength/Quick

you wanna build him without any awareness, you can build him with a bit of reflex so it converts to spirit at the start of game (note to skill 1), and overall js make him hit harder cause he's gonna crit in the first place.

  1. Thoughts on dupes?

I'd say his dupes are kinda niche, like his sr2 provides a nice 25% awarneess, and spiirit based off stength up to 60%. Nice buffer but not game changing, especially cause it's hard to get 100% strength.

His sr4 is also alr but really niche speaking for a sr4. It first provides a small base stat boost of 1%, up to 20 stacks evrytime anybody does an ultimate. Ig it'd be nice to have for oikawa teams, which is the teams you'd put him with, but it's not a crazy booster. His next effect basically forces him to do libero sub, and it's effects are really small - 15% def tech and a guarenteed recieve/critical. Given it's only one recieve, I think that's really weak given it happens probably once in the whole game, and it's a one time use. There's better sr4, unless you love Tendo like that cause he's js like that.

  1. End game?

I feel like you wouldn't really see him in most teams outside of oikawa and friends. THe best middles are kuroo, hiru and aone generally speaking so you'd see those. So he's not straight up bad, but he's def not the best or most insane sp out there.

TL:DR Tendo is a pretty good blocker, but not a very impactful buffer when it coems to the game. He can get some pretty high numbers and can be the blocking anchor if you don't want hiru (but tbh who wouldn't want him), or could even be your sixth man to fill in the job.

Thx again for reading to the end, and until next time fly high sub ~

Guide to Teambuilding 101

Hello, Niel Loke already beat me to this (had to take a break for a few days mb), but I'm going to be doing primarily on cores instead of meta units as Niel Loke did really well.

Js wanna provide some quick analysis:

This game is built upon it's rock paper scissors mechanism, consisting of quick, recieve, power, block. You can't have a specialty without being countered by another specialty.

Block teams are currently the meta. With only two premium quick attackers as of right now (those being hina/tsukki), makes quick specialty one of the lest preferable option. Also with less units might force you to use SSR units js to get other specialties with these players. Also, the only 4 UR's are: Kage (Pairs very well with hina ssr), Atsumu and Osamu (Which are considered the worst UR's in game), and Kuroo, but c'mon guys I doubt you got kuroo UR and his sp is a nice buffer that everybody probs got.

Hence, cause basically nobody does quick, that makes block the strongest cause they won't be countered as much. They also have some very good units upcoming, and released. We already see suga, koga, aone, tsukki and kuroo, which 3 of them can be used for some meta teams in jp rn, and with the current popularity of oikawa teams means it's very easy to be countered, and not be countered yourself. Also, with firework + date tech, that's block already meaning you have two free spots, opened to any specialty. It means you don't have to get specific units and it's not limited to certain players to get the archetype.

Now onto the cores, I'll go through each specialty the best current and team:

1. Future (Date Tech/Kamo Duo), Current: (Oikawa/Firework/Date Tech hybrid)

https://preview.redd.it/ypzcytsx2t5h1.png?width=1422&format=png&auto=webp&s=5312566240daccb397feadba057ecdf1b30679b1

Forgetting rotation, lib can be whoever, and akashi and bokuto can replace oikawa and iwa.

This team is currently very good, as already explained but provides very nice bonds and synergy. Kuroo is in general a really nice buffer, oikawa is ofc really good at buffing, iwa is great at buffing too, aone buffs with his serve and subbing off, and koga is great at buffing block teams. We also have debuffers with the infamous firework festival bond (which makes them a really hard to verse). Ofc, the only issue with block teams is that they have very minimal attackers which is why we're waiting for none ofther than...

https://preview.redd.it/iurdw00r3t5h1.png?width=772&format=png&auto=webp&s=eb895dac5ac7d7e2a09bfc4ace2bf52c8a4c95b3

The date tech duo...oh and the kamo duo

THe kamo duo is a massive upgrade, form a standpoint view, hiru especially is broken for block teams, lowering net cooldowns/providing base stat buffs, he's also an amazing blocker himself and can buff the team js like his UR but on another lvl. That's js hiru, korai is an amazing attacker and can buff himself like a monster. He also works excellently with hiru providing a really good bond of base stat boost.

Same can be said for date tech. THe core of date tech and kamo duo is ridiculously good, and for me is the meta as of writing. I think they look amazing rn, aone basically steals all other blocks and adds to his rather large block stat boost he gives. He also decreases his block cooldown, pair with hiru makes his block spammable which is ridiculous, and not js that but at really high numbers. Same is for futa but instead of blocking can spam spikes, and is js really good.

Overall, both Date tech, and Kamo duo together make the most powerful core. They also already have the block specialty meaning the two slots are free for any other players you want. Get them. Unless they get powercrept but...I can't predict that

2. Future (Yaku + Kenma/Lev + Sakura vr2), current kenma turtle

Recieve teams already have their fair share and have kinda been all over the place. For me, kamo duo is the msot heavenly duo to coem to this game to finally give me a multi specialty team. You can also make a hybrid power/reciev consisting of itachi, oikawa and friends and a power/recieve players. They're currently the meta rn, and wth both specialties mean they can avoid block teams. Ovbiously kenma turtules were the meta, but will get powercrept but none other than...

https://preview.redd.it/ij96nh6m5t5h1.png?width=1544&format=png&auto=webp&s=94e77fd86654271397f444daeca92529efa6b916

The fantastic four...+ yaku and maybe kuroo

These guys look amazing, being built upon perfect recieves, set and spikes. Whilst sure, sakura tanaka and yamamoto won't beat a korai rs4, it's mainly the synergy and how well they buff themselves that can be on the smae level if not more than korai.

Basically,

Yaku SP for me is probably the best standalone libero js cause of his third skill. Only issue is, the teams he fits in kinda don't want lib sub, but for me worth it (his third skill is that he converts all normal recieves to perfect - it breaks the usual - normal recieve, bad set, perfect block for opponent)

more importantly, cause he guarentees perfect recieves, (also making the first bad recieve to perfect, and criticals with certain stacking), it buffs up yamamoto like crazy, increasing gritty stacks like a straight up monster. Yaku would recieve, kenma would be spamming sets, and to yamamoto or lev (maybe tanaka), would look realllly strong. Main issue is - who do you want to replace lib for, or if you want to at all.

3. Future (Jazz+Miya), Current: Kage teams

When I say kage teams it kinda rotates w/ Kage, Hina (SP or SSR, but probs SSR SR6), Tsukki+(Kuroo), and osamu+tsumu/osamu+any unit

Instead of a bunch of parentheses, it means you need kage and prefrably hina sr6, sp tsukki (possibly add sp kuroo for the bond), and osamu+his twin or any onther unit of choice. Good thing is, especially for sp hina, they generally have low awareness at game start, and with kage sr2 especially, progressively builds awarenees in the game. This means kage sr2 is a must, so if you don't have him, I wouldn't reccomend kage.

https://preview.redd.it/cxqx15ux9t5h1.png?width=1466&format=png&auto=webp&s=d18bbc7cc0d08450aea45c7a8823054c23713445

Quick teams are weak rn, and as said you need ssr players to maximise quick teams, hence meaning sacrifice of stat buffs. Hina is interchangeable, kuroo (SP), can be in for kita. I did this team and rotation too, cause, one thing in atsumu/osamu/kita bond is that they give some nice buffs for as long as both are on the court. If you don't care abotu that, atsumu is the better server and would swithc with kage (you also get mnus tempo with hina which I think might weigh out tsumu/osamu/kita bond now that I think about it.)

HOWEVER - For all players that love our two main stars, once a few certain players drop doesn't only counter block teams (the meta), but guarentees crits, hence meaning ~ they won't be deterred by debuff teams/teams that debuff awareness. AND they get atk tech and buffs so js really good. These players are...

https://preview.redd.it/id7we63sat5h1.png?width=772&format=png&auto=webp&s=d915c6adf72a7cbd7980c356c3731d51470bf8d3

https://preview.redd.it/pwjip1ntat5h1.png?width=1414&format=png&auto=webp&s=b0dabf8318fbabff2eb1b2bb6774eace05f17541

The SP miya and Jazz trio. Preferably sr4 hina and sr2 tsumu, but this team synergises with setting skills, and gaining certain buffs to crit. Kita also js released so has possible synergy.

https://preview.redd.it/mmnfegu7bt5h1.png?width=1432&format=png&auto=webp&s=8cb8f0dd904b713cd3f6ed4b3185cd2dcea15075

Below, korai and hiru are interchangeable. Korai is js nice to have. What I noticed is that kita provides some good buffs but in turn deters most of the awareness, makng kage, and atsumu guarenteed crits invaluable. This core of miyas + kage look amazing, and you already have quick anyways so you could always throw in hiru for kita instead, or maybe firework duo, but I don't think they'd make as much of an impact.

4. Future (Swimming+Oikawa+Kamo), Current (Oikawa and friends):

I feel like power is the weakest core despite having oikawa. Ushi hoenstly is a pretty niche sp, like he's great, but there's nothing absolutely shocking about him, maybe aside the fact that he can spam but aran and korai can do that job well, if not even better. They also get countered by block teams, which are, and probably will stay as the meta for a long time.

An oikawa team, also a recieve team is the current meta for global:

https://preview.redd.it/p2goey9fct5h1.png?width=1430&format=png&auto=webp&s=4ba9475eb9611e02f18cc6ecafcc5e26ab23ba0a

Boasting of both tags of recieve and power, kunimi can be replaced by all 3 players on the bench, (kunimi for stamina, tsukki for bond, and bokuto+hina cause js why not), they are built off iwa recieves, oikawa sets, ushi spikes, and they js buff the team really well and overall js are really neat core to have that will dominate every team.. Also cause they're efficient w/ stamina, making them last in peak for ages. For a kenma team like me, i always do my best to avoid this.

Sadly, I feel like power teams hasn't gotten a lot of great units. Kamo duo, but every team will get that. Which is the only reason that as on paper, the swimmng trio is the underrated team, that may possibly bring power back to the table. Idk if they're amazing, they sound great, but they haven't been in game/tested yet so...

https://preview.redd.it/m6d4l0p0et5h1.png?width=1432&format=png&auto=webp&s=5357cca785d2689d1076af4cb891776dfc97265e

Forget rotation, we could sneak in any libero, and korai/hiru can be replaced. I think the most optimal players are either

  1. Motoya, Sakusa, Kuroo
  2. As shown, Kamo duo + Yaku
  3. (Any lib) + Bokuto and Aone

This is good cause it's based off morale awakening, and js cycling rhough that. Especially optimising shirabu's one set he does once morale awakening activates.

TL:DR - The meta teams as of rn is block and power. Soon, quick will rise, and block will still secure the meta as of writing for the future. That being said, you can bypass this game with any team, this is js meta. You can always roll for your fav characters, like even tho I'm not getting the miya twins I'm set on getting kita + yaku sp.

I hope this was helpful hfh sub, and until next time ~ see y'all in the next faux faq on gin or tendo.

EDIT: Scrap bokuto for power team, and note the CC team somewhere in this post.

Thoughts on Suga SP?

Aiming for kamo duo, currently 6400 dias, 62 pity and 16 tix. I also like getting their respective mem, so in this case, 27 mem, 40 mem pity.

Question is, I like suga a lot, and I feel kinda tempted to pull him. Js wanna see for any players that have him that think he's good? If I do get him, do you think I can get the kamo duo and their mem's too? (note I'm fine with hiru mem js cause I have kenma team)

I love the season 1 opening!

Wow! I'm a bit past halfway through the series and I love it so much!

The opening 2 I really love i js want to pout it out somewhere cause it js seems so amazing it moves me to tears 😭. It's js such an interesting series, and the opening is js so cool I'm really happy they're realasing a season 3 and i've heard season 2 is better than season 1 somehow so I'm really excited!!!!!

Best haikyuu team?

Before I begin, I js wanted to ask, people say ushi is no.1 but in season 2 kuroo talks about that there is two people above him no.1 being kiryu, no.2 being sakusa. Is that true? i've read a bit of the bokuto vs mujinikaza (book 37) and found that yes kiryu is ridiculously strong but I think he gets blocked in game by washio once and I think it's overall impact or craziness is not that good..thoughts?

Ik I used a haikyuu fly high teambuilder, js to visually show the players. Ignore the stuff they're wearing.

I chose this team cause:

Oikawa actually is subject to change, tsumu and kage are both in contests. Maybe lizuna but Idk really know much about him and I doubt he stood out much in the manga.

I'd do kiryu over korai js he wasn't an option. Sakusa cause he's really good.

Ushi cause well...he's easily the best oppo

Kuroo and Hiru I think personally are the best mb out there in the manga, correct me if I'm wrong.

Motoya cause he's the high school ace setter. It rotates around yaku, noya and him so please correct me if I'm wrong.

I find overall that this team has a nice balance and some very powerful attackers. Sadly ushi mainly and a bit of kiryu can be aimed on during serve recieve so don't know what to do there 🤷 but overall a very nicely balanced team. All their serving would be scary to recieve.

If you have your own personal fav teams then go ahead, I'm js saying the team that I personally think is the best position and synergy wise.

p.s. Noteworthy second team not for synergy but second best at their position.

Kage could be tsumu.

Noya could be yaku.

Bokuto could be aran or asahi. (maybe not asahi so much)

Osamu could be gao.

I think aone and suna, suna could be the top maybe..but doesn't really fit with the first team.
