Hey, can anyone tell me about the pay & lifestyle as well as how to get into mobile cranes I am based in Coventry in the UK I am 27 I have a class 2 license

I am in Dilemma I am finishing my c+e class 1, whats the pay difference & start times/hours difference in each industry

I am worried about getting my foot in the door in cranes if its easy as hgvs is easy to get into alot of demand, I would like to be a crane operator or ap whats the career path & ease, I am based in Coventry

What are the start times for different hgv roles like fuel tankers, rdc, trunking, general haulage etc?

What is the the longest commuting time job you would take when taking the start times into account?

Anyone got any tips or tricks or recipes, I am based in the UK & want to know what to eat, I need about 150g of protein & obviously using lyle McDonalds method as little carbs & fats any advice?

Is this good notes/explanation for my reverse test? Anymore advice?

Reverse- Right turn to bend, left turn to mend
From right lock to left lock-

-Take time makesure it straightens up & shunt if needed close to yellow line giving enough cones space

-Keep all cones visible in eye view & you’re allow out to check

-Reverse to line you can get out 1 time to check reverse

-Lift left hand (thumb out pointing the way you want to go) from base of wheel clockwise turn to right to bend full lock to go left in reverse

-Lift right hand (thumb out pointing the way to want to go) from base wheel anti-clockwise turn to left to mend full lock to go right in reverse

-Turn into visible side of trailer in mirror to straighten then counter steer to readjust for your original adjustment

So I booked my car to C+E, I have already passed my theories all of them I only have 3A reverse/3A coupling/uncoupling, 3B practical HGV test & CPC Mod 4 left

This is going to sound silly maybe but should I buy a Toy HGV to practice my show me tell me & coupling uncoupling & buy some trucking game for my ps5 or computer to learn reversing? Any tips or tricks or any advice to further my learning separately from the actual course I am on in my own time would help alot, no matter how silly it sounds I will take advice even if its toys etc thank you

It could be cones to mimic reversing?, a practice mini fifth wheel king pin?, cheap hgv simulator?, cheap old airlines etc to clip up, toy artics?, a whiteboard or any elearnings? To learn positioning? If anyone has any sites or apps that can help me learn the practical side before my lessons would be great? Like example positioning charts on junctions or roundabouts etc? Or any books/ebooks anyone would recommend?

My instructor who I am looking to book with has kind of scared me saying the worst thing the government did is make car to class 1 he said most people can’t do it & he wouldn’t recommend trying that route but doing class 2 first getting experience then doing class 1, what do you guys think? As I was confident to book a car to C+E

Whats a fair price to pay for the training & how long should it take, as in how early can it be to pass my test & start my practical learning, I am based in Coventry I want a class 1 job as fast as possible, my goal is to eventually get into tanker work.

Thank you for everyone who advised me to travel for a fast theory I did my hazard perception, cpc & theory test as fast I passed them all in Leicester in 1 day.

I am from the UK I have tried to tie a parna multiple times & it always looks bad & I fail even with online videos, I use a turban base like a super tight thin hat then tie the parna over it, I use mal mal which I have been told is the easiest & best for parnas & the length I bought it 3 meters, someone said half it so I ripped the width in half but now it looks worse & doesn’t fully wrap my head, I might be a fool but can someone give me the most simple explanation on how too & what to do what material, size, length & what does stitched mean etc what is all the info I need & any tips & advice like I never washed the material either some people say wash it? Its all very overwhelming & confusing to me I take longer to learn things, bul chuk maaf, please help me

How long do I have to wait to do my hgv theory? It says the only available dates are in 3 months time? What do I do? Do the hgv schools block book them or how long does it take? I am enrolled on a government swap course for hgv for free in a months time will they book my theory in for that same month? The hazard perception seems to be able to book way sooner just the actual hgv/lgv theory? I wanted to do everything as quick as possible the money is not much of an issue for me more the time frame I just got my hgv provisional

Help what should I do my driveway has a new thick slate like grounding which can’t be dug up really, city fibre guys denied ability to install it so what do I do now? Sky have said the internet will be cut off soon due to old wiring cables?
