Dangerously Overcrowded at John Summit?
This was my second EDC. I had a good time but it felt significantly more crowded than 2025. And 2025 was no picnic. It was just way too crowded at times to feel enjoyable.
I came upon a British podcast today where they say the crowd at John Summit was dangerously overcrowded and came close to crowd rush. Listen from about 56min mark. Is this accurate?

They also talk in detail about a guy being thrown (dangerously) down into GA from the elevated VIP balcony by bodyguards. I see this was discussed briefly on reddit here at the time:

Also, was the livestream for John Summit really taken down because the crowd was getting out of control?
I was thankfully at Bunt at this time (great set, not crowded). I had heard Summit was overcrowded but this sounds way worse that I thought.
Am curious is this hyperbole or is the podcast accurate in its description?
I really hope next year they reduce capacity meaningfully for each weekend as they say they plan to. It should be at least 20% less in my opinion.
EDIT - Video of JS crowd as taken by podcast creators. Skip to 1hr1min mark:

EDIT2: EDC is an amazing festival and everyone should go. I will be there both weekends next year. I just think the over-crowdedness - at peak times - spoils the experience a little. Insomniac say they are reducing capacity next year to address this so let's hope they do so in a meaningful way.
