My Experience With Vi

My experience with Vi has been pretty good in city areas. If you live in a properly covered urban area, the network coverage and speed are generally good, and I haven’t faced major issues.

But once you move towards rural areas, the experience can be very different. In some villages, coverage is weak or sometimes unavailable, especially indoors.

So from my experience:

City areas: Good coverage and speed

Rural areas: Coverage can be a problem

If you mostly live in a city, Vi can be a decent option. But if you frequently travel or live in rural areas, I’d recommend checking Vi coverage in your specific location first.

What has been your experience with Vi in rural areas?

My experience with BSNL so far has been quite positive.

I’ve been using BSNL for the last 10 days, and honestly, the network performance has been better than I expected.

📶 Coverage: Good coverage in most places, except a few areas where the signal is comparatively weaker.

⚡ Speed: I’m generally getting around 15–50 Mbps, with speeds consistently reaching around 30 Mbps in normal usage.

⬇️ Download & Upload: Downloads and uploads have been smooth so far, without major interruptions.

Overall, after 10 days of usage, my experience has been stable and satisfactory. Of course, network performance can vary depending on location, tower load and time, but in my area BSNL is performing reasonably well.

I’ll continue using it and see how the experience remains over the coming weeks.

😂 Just sharing my experience with Vodafone Idea (Vi) — aaj ki baat hai.

Maine LinkedIn par Vi ke network issue ko lekar post dali thi, uske baad Indore office se call aaya. Unhone kaha, “Aap pehle bhi multiple times complaints raise kar chuke ho aur aapki hamari team se pehle bhi baat ho chuki hai.”

Phir puchti hain, “Aap chahte kya ho?”

Maine bola, “Ma’am, network coverage theek karwa do.”

Boli, “Sir, woh possible nahi hai.”

Maine bola, “Okay ma’am, theek hai.”

Phir dobara puchti hain, “Aap chahte kya ho?” 😂

Maine bola, “Ma’am, main toh bata hi raha hoon — network coverage theek karwa do.”

Boli, “Sir, woh toh nahi ho sakta. Aap batayein, aap chahte kya ho?” 😂

Aur call ke beech mein bolti hain, “Oh, main batana bhool gayi thi — ye call quality aur training purpose ke liye record ho rahi hai.”

😂😂 Phir wahi sawaal baar-baar — “Aap chahte kya ho?”

Arey yrr, network ki problem hai, toh obviously network hi theek karwana hai. 😂📶

Bas apna experience share kar raha hoon.

Finally, Vi SIM can use BSNL network?

I just noticed something interesting with my Vodafone Idea (Vi) SIM in Madhya Pradesh.

Apparently, in some areas, you can manually search for available networks and select BSNL instead of staying on the Vi network.

Try this:

  1. Open Settings → Mobile Network → Network Operators

  2. Turn off Automatically select network

  3. Manually search for available networks

  4. If BSNL appears, select it and check whether your Vi SIM connects.

I tested/ noticed this in Madhya Pradesh, but I’m not sure whether it is working everywhere or only in selected circles/locations.

Can people from other cities and states check this on their Vi SIM and report whether BSNL appears as an available network?

Please mention your city + state and whether it worked.

Is Vi officially allowing BSNL network access through roaming in these areas, or is this something else?
