VI 365/- Doesnt Work?

(Open the full screenshot for ref)

I ported my sim from BSNL to VI for using unlimited Internet in Maharashtra.

I got my sim delivered and that guy did a recharge of 365/- and it says 5G unlimited on 5G devices (in terms and conditions) but unlimited 5G doesn't work after my 2GB/Per day gets over. Attaching screenshot for reference , why my VI Unlimited 5G doesn't work?

Why do you still send these SMS?

Every time I make a call, Vi sends an SMS like:

“Last-Call: 00:00:27, Charge: Rs0.00, Main-Bal: Rs0.00…”

I already have the call history on my phone, and I have an unlimited calling pack.

What exactly is the purpose of sending a separate SMS after every call?

Wouldn't it make more sense to spend engineering/customer-service effort on improving network coverage, call connectivity and reliability instead? 😅

Genuinely curious — is there a specific regulatory or billing reason for these messages?

Noticed different states [plan] are different?

Hey all... I just noticed the VI plans for Karnataka and Odisha circles are different?

I am currently in Odisha and my sim was from Bangalore. But noticed here plans are cheaper but I have to recharge Karnataka circle plans - higher.

What's the solution to this issue... Please guide!

Can i use data only plans?

I have wifi at home and office, i just need connectivity when i go out in weekends.

I know that 548 plan for 84days is cheaper option that vi offers.
But can i use data only plans without any base plans or else any better alternative plan?

Looking for a SIM plan just for OTPs

I’m looking for a mobile plan where I can keep my SIM active and receive bank OTPs. I don’t really need mobile data or much calling.

Is there any affordable plan that’s suitable for this? Any recommendations?

Choice number on Vi postpaid → directly port to Jio prepaid after 90 days?

I want to get a new SIM with a specific 8-digit number of my choice. The exact number I want is available on Vi, but Jio doesn't seem to offer the option to select all 8 digits.

My plan is to pay for the choice number on Vi postpaid, keep it for 90 days, and then port the same number to Jio prepaid.

I initially thought I would have to convert Vi postpaid → Vi prepaid first, but I've seen quite a few posts saying Vi makes the postpaid-to-prepaid conversion difficult and sometimes asks people to wait longer.

So I wanted to confirm:

  1. Can I simply keep the Vi number on postpaid for 90 days and then directly port it to Jio prepaid, without converting it to Vi prepaid first?
  2. Are there any specific restrictions with Vi choice/fancy numbers that I should know about?
  3. If I do need to convert Vi postpaid → prepaid first, is the 90-day rule actually reliable, or can Vi make me wait longer?
  4. Once I port it to Jio, can I immediately choose a basic Jio prepaid plan with just calling/SMS? I don't really need much data.

I basically want to pay for the choice number once and eventually use it as a simple Jio prepaid number. Don't want to get stuck paying for Vi postpaid unnecessarily.

Would appreciate experiences from anyone who has actually done this recently.

Which recharge is better? [Offer]

I have heard about the 300gb cap, the first one offers unlimited data but does not offer free night data.

Second does not offer unlimited data but 5g unlimited is still there. (Mp Circle)

VI removed data cap of 300GB.

I'm not 100% sure but ig VI actually removed the data cap of 300gb, earlier it showed how much data remaining from 300gb but now it shows just unlimited. Or it might be that it just shows unlimited now but it still is 300 gb cap. The previous would be a goat move and the latter a d**k move.

Edit: currently its showing data usage only in sms which you get after you call customer care number 199. In the SMS it shows data being deducted from 300GB. I have posted the screenshot in comments. So ig it makes it clear that data is still 300GB.
