Does anyone have APN settings that actually work well? The default "www" APN performs poorly for me, and the other "internet" APN settings I've tried don't seem to work either.
If anyone has found APN settings that provide better speed, stability, or lower latency on Vi (Vodafone Idea), I'd really appreciate it if you could share them.
Guys I today experienced 5g of vi in my city motihari in Bihar, it is not officially mentioned in vi 5g coverage, and more thing it is available in particular area , I mean I went to market I saw 5g icon but ,when returned to room then saw only 4g.
Hi everyone, I am facing a recurring issue with my Vi (Vodafone Idea) connection and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this or knows a workaround. My previous recharge ended, and my recent plan is already active. It has been 3 days out of the 28-day validity, but the Vi Care automated system is showing "Hero Pack: 0 KB out of 300 GB" and my data is completely blocked/not working. (Attaching the screenshot 1000427866.jpg for reference). This exact same issue happened to me with the same plan previously. At that time, I recharged at the start of the month, but my data automatically started working only after half the month had already passed. It seems like a massive backend data provisioning glitch on Vi's part where they activate calling but fail to provision the bulk data pool. Has anyone successfully got this resolved by their backend team without waiting for weeks? I don't want to suffer for 15 days again. Any advice on how to reach a human customer executive who actually understands this technical glitch would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
Yesterday i went to VI store in a city of UP. I wanted to port my sim from BSNL. I asked store guy about any offers on porting.
Leave the offers what he told me blew my mind away he said if i want to port to VI i will have to opt for VI postpaid otherwise they won't process my sim. What kinda joke is this?
Btw it's min. speed in my area & max goes to 2.5Gbps 💅🏼
Hello I’m looking for a way to contact Vodafone since I will like to talk with a customer care executive in person or call.
Here is the story 9-10 years back during my school days I went to Vodafone store and bought a SIM card I clearly remember giving all my required documents they asked for but it seems they didn’t registered the sim in my name. I registered my sim in Kohima, Nagaland. Just 1 week back I lost my phone I went to Vodafone retailer shop and asked if I can get the same number but to my surprise the sim was register in someone’s else name.
this year I checked on Sanchar Saathi (Gov app) to see how many names are registered in my sim there was only one (which was my name)
I will really like to have my number back if possible since that phone number is linked to all my important documents.
[RESOLVED] I got onto VI through MNP...no FRC was done...due to store forcing to get postpaid ...at last gave prepaid but no FRC.
So today sim got activated...i already had another vi sim so was able to access vi app...tried 470 recharge for new ported no and it went through success...but still my sim was not active...later searched over net that only few FRC amount works...next did 199rs recharge ...worked and sim activated...but the 470rs recharge is nowhere seen(its visible as success in recharge history of vi app )
will it get activated after current 199 plan gets over?
UPDATE: VI processed refund within an hour of 470rs automatically......was going to write mail but all good now.
Ported back to Vi after 8 years. Wanted to give it a try to Vi as I was facing network issues with Airtel in my office.
It's been 3 days but I've not seen the 5G network on my phone.
I live in Gurgaon, that's why I ported back to Vi, as they were marketing that Vi 5G is active in our city.
If anyone is also facing the 5G issue.
Hi,
I signed up for VI -MTV monthly pack and need to use it on my Google TV.
Do you see Vi MTV app for Google Chromecast TV? Is anyone using it on Google TV? I am not able to find it on my account play store.
If I recharge 579 plan 1.5gb 12 to 6 ul data data roll over
What happen if I add on pack 55 rs eligible for (hero & super hero)
579÷2=290+55=345
290+55=345
345+345=690
In 690 will get 300gb unlimited from 55 pack .?
And 12 to 6 ,1.5gb,data roll over?
Or only just 300gb?
I added a sub pack of ott and I cancelled it within one hour cuz I didn't pay the bills and I was panicked and cancelled it though Vi still charged the price of the sub pack which i didn't even use pls refund
Around T.Nagar areas in Chennai, TN
Absolutely non existent 5G on OMR areas where we reside currently, sad. Airtel seems to pump decent 5G speeds here for now though
Airtel 4G/5G NSA is unreliable in our area. Did rc 1099 unlimited 4G/5G . It's 5G Standalone or SA is strictly restricted to Postpaid subscribers only - leaving me with no choice but to make a comeback to Vi. Service quality is outstanding due to the lower traffic.
Back then in 2023 - with no unlimited pack,5G & uncertain future, ported out to Airtel.
November 2025 - tried BSNL, internet was no doubt excellent along with the presence of VoLTE. They deactivated it after few months for maintenance and I switched back to Airtel for quality service.
Now I regret switching to Airtel but, I won't have to worry much. As soon as early September, I will make my dream come true.
Assuming the rollout of BSNL 5G to commence next year onwards, I will make a comeback to Vi and use it for the time being.
.
I didn't know that there's a 300gb limit for the non stop super hero plan. 2 days were remaining. So I recharged in advance thinking ki the 300gb quota will be renewed. Still they're giving me 1GB/day. When will I be able to use 300 GB quota again? Any idea?
