Disclaimer- no real names used for privacy reasons.

Tldr: one should avoid physical fight, but if perpetrators arrive at your residence and brutally assault family member. Your first priority should be saving their life anyhow.

My friend's family recorded the assault, de-armed the perpetrators, verbally confronted " gaala dabana chodho, sar par mat maro", pushed, grabbed and tried stopping assault, but his father was brutally assaulted.

Pulish Thane complaint had zero affect on perpetrators, they gave victim's family online threats even after complaint. My friend's father luckily survived that evening and my friend jumped off the thought of justice to real world.

Few days ago, my friend's father was beaten with deadly head punches, bricks and hammer, and strangled.

Luckily, he survived the brutal assault and went to thane, where the pulish Incharge, called them next day.

Next day, the pulish SI aka investigating officer , saw the video evidences and CCTV, and termed:

Life threats ( "Kaapal Ph--denge M--r Jaoge, Ek kh--n karchuke hai Dusarka Maaf hai" ) as gaali-galauj.

Head punches, use of bricks and hammer, strangulation ( leaving strangulation marks ) as kaha-Suni.

And issued challan aka 151 preventive challan, against the assaulters ( brothers ) and nowhere mentioned brutal assault, use of hammer, bricks or strangulation.

When the I.O. was questioned by the family, he said " counter FIR hojayega " , " jyada sawal jawab karne walon ko hamlog, non CCTV room mai l--thi charge karte hain " , and I.O. sahab favorite words " Chu--ye ", " bak---d ".

The preventive challan aka 151 could have been also strong support for family if details of brutal assault was included, but I.O. sahab only wrote "gaali-galauj" and "kaha-suni", and at end of challan, wrote " accused deny these allegations ".

Also, I.O.sahab issued the same challan against the victim's family.

National Pulish should follow I.O. sahab investigation method.

After the Pulish Complaint, and strong confidence that I.O. sahab rebuilt in accused, they ( brothers )started sending online threats to the family " kaha jate ho, kaha rahte ho, sab pata laga liye hai, Itna m--renge ki khade nahi ho paoge ".

My friend's father, Manoj was brutally assaulted by his brothers with deadly head punches, bricks, hammer and strangulation over minor property dispute on 7th sept 26 evening.

The police thane took complaint on next day I.e. 8th, and hearing was scheduled two days later I.e. 10th before the executive magistrate, but on the night before the hearing day, the victim's family received online threats.

I need to help them with Escalation and filing FIR:-

1. If thane issued preventive challan, essentially ignoring the brutal assault in video evidences and raising crime doers confidence.

Or can police track down the threat sender and seize the security bond and make arrests directly under challan.
