Rescinded offer
Anyone here got a tentative offer rescinded without any reason as to why?
Wondering if my denial was from the clearance check and how that will affect my future career goals.
HR ghosted with generic rescinded email.

HR ghosted with generic rescinded email.
Got a TJO rescinded recently with no explanation why from the HR personnel. No responses after asking for updates or explanation, just a generic rescinded email and to look at OPM for future open vacancy jobs.
So weirdly about a month after this the same department for the same role called me asking me about my resume to consider me for the same role. I mentioned to the guy that I was told the offer was rescinded and he was surprised. I followed back up with him a day later to see if he could find out info on what’s going on and he said “I think you may have failed the background check”.
Also note this process was fast, filled out that sf form about a month or two before hand. DCSA did a few interviews with me and my friends/family. Even my current employer got contacted. I did the finger prints and pictures before the sf form.
I’ve request a FOIA/privacy act from both the department and DCSA.
I am mainly wondering how this will affect my career path. Should I consider any jobs that require a clearance a lost cause? At least for the next 5+ years?
Bought a monthly ticket from grand to Montauk.
Now if I want to go to ronkonkoma on the purp line, can I use this monthly pass?
Hey everyone! Just landed my first associate software engineer role and want to hit the ground running before I start. The stack is .NET/C#, ASP.NET Web API, and Angular. Any book recs, Udemy/Pluralsight courses, or YouTube channels you’d recommend for someone coming in fresh? Agile/Scrum tips are a bonus.
Job choice 1: already working here on a NON tech related role. Purely customer service. Pros: major finance/tech company. Slight chance to transfer into tech role after 1 year. Pay is 70k health insurance fully covered
Job choice 2: associate software engineer role, just received offer. 90k. Not nearly as fancy of a company kind of old and outdated. C# full stack work. Pretty sure they just want me to pump our ai prompts to do develop work
First job, already established and is fancy. Second job is not fancy at all but has the title and slightly higher pay.
Also, I have a masters degree in CS…
Started this process back in January 2026. Was given the TJO back in early March, did the finger printing and some basic background check form. Then I started the public trust background check with the DCSA.
Wasn’t told why the offer was rescinded and my status in the NBIS portal shows my background investigation is still active.
Should I request an FOIA? Or should I give it some time and then request it?
I’m at the LIRR station. Is this because people were putting their feet on the seats?
Received a TJO a few months ago. Tier 4 public trust. Over a month since submission so I know it hasn’t been long at all.
However I did receive a cold call from someone claiming to be with the department i was given the TJO for and haven’t been able to reach back since missing that call.
Emailed my HR rep two weeks ago with no response and sent a follow up a few days after that initial email. Also sent my security rep an email.
Should I try emailing again or just leave it be and assume I won’t get the FJO?
Have received the same email “Notice of Results and Referral” tentative eligible email 9 times.
I’ve already accepted a TJO and am waiting on my public trust results. Why am I still getting these emails for the same role?
