Visa Application (inside UK)

Hello everyone, I am currently in the process of applying for the health and care visa, and had a few questions:

Do I need to upload my DBS check ? I haven't received it yet, so I'm wondering whether I should wait for it before submitting my application?

Additionally, is our occupation on the immigration salary list , I did some research and I believe the answer is no, but I just wanted to confirm with people who may have gone through the process recently.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

Halal meat and chicken

Hiya everyone, I recently moved to Leeds (city centre) and was wondering if anyone could recommend grocery shops/supermarkets that sell halal meat and chicken?

I’ve checked Sainsbury’s and Iceland Whole Foods, but unfortunately they didn’t have any in stock. I’m mainly looking for somewhere convenient in or around the city centre. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thank you x

First time moving from Manchester to Leeds, how does it all work?

Hi everyone,

I'm moving from Manchester to Leeds for the first time and I'm a bit overwhelmed, so I'd really appreciate any advice.

I don't have any furniture to move, all of my belongings fit into a few suitcases and two bags. My plan is to travel to Leeds by train, but I was wondering how moving companies usually work in this situation.

When it comes to moving companies, I assume I'd need to be there when they load everything in Manchester and again when they unload it in Leeds. Since I'll be travelling by train while they'll likely be driving, they might arrive before I do. Is that something moving companies normally account for, or would I need to arrange a specific delivery time?

I also have a 6-day gap between my current tenancy ending and my new tenancy starting. What's the usual thing to do in that situation? Should I book a hotel or Airbnb for those six days, or are there other options that people commonly use?

Also, are there any luggage lockers or short-term storage options where I could leave my belongings during those six days? I'd rather not have to drag all of my suitcases and bags with me while staying in a hotel or Airbnb if I can avoid it.

Sorry if these are basic questions.. this is my first time moving on my own, so I don't really know what to expect. I'd really appreciate any advice or tips from people who've done this before.

Thanks in advance!
