Why is MAGA obsessed with left-wing violence when most politically-motivated violence comes from the right?

Last year, Trump issued an executive order called NSPM-7 designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization and asserted "The radical left causes tremendous violence."

Stephen Miller recently gave a speech stating that left wing terrorism "left to run its course, it always becomes a gulag."

I acknowledge that left-wing violence exists and has increased over the past few years. However, research shows that most politically-motivated violence comes from the right, and that right-wing actors are significantly more violent than left-wing actors.

It's also rich coming from them because Trump incited the January 6th riots with his "stop the steal" rhetoric and he has refused to condemn the racist violence during the Charlottesville riots.

What do you think about this poem?

You and I by Elaine Popovich from Midland Michigan.

I am a resident. You reside.

I am admitted. You move in.

I am aggressive.

I have behavior problems. You are rude.

I am non-compliant. You don't like being told what to do.

When I ask you out for dinner, it's an outing. When you ask someone out, it's a date.

I don't know how many people have read the progress notes people write about me. I don't even know what is in there. You didn't speak to your friend for a month after they read your journal.

I made some mistakes during my check writing program. Someday I will get a bank account. You forgot to record some withdrawals from your account. The bank called to remind you.

I wanted to talk to the nice looking man behind us at the grocery store. I was told that it's inappropriate to talk to strangers. You met your spouse in the produce department. Neither of you could find the bean sprouts.

I celebrated my birthday with 5 other residents and 2 staff members. I hope my family sends me a card. Your family threw you a surprise party. Your brother couldn't make it form out-of-state. It sounded wonderful.

My case manager sends a report every month to my guardian. It says everything I did wrong and some things I did right. You are still mad at your sister for calling your mom after you got that speeding ticket.

I am on a special diet because I am 5 pounds over my ideal body weight. Your doctor gave up telling you.

I am learning household skills. You hate housework.

I am learning leisure skills. Your shirt says "couch potato".

After I do my budget program tonight, I might get to go to McDonalds if I have enough money. You were glad that the new French restaurant took your charge card.

My caseworker, psychologist, nurse, occupational and physical therapists, nutrition and house staff set goals for me for the next year. You haven't decided what you want out of life.

Someday I will be discharged, maybe. You will move onward and upward.

Why are homeschooling laws so lax in the US?

This website has information on homeschooling laws by state.
https://projects.propublica.org/graphics/homeschool

In most states, you don't have to prove your child is learning anything. You don't even need a high school diploma to homeschool. Only one state prohibits homeschooling for parents who have been convicted of a felony within the past 5 years. I also think homeschooling can be used as a cover for abuse by minimizing or removing contact with mandated reporters. I've read many stories of abuse on r/HomeschoolRecovery.

US freezes Medicare enrollments for new home healthcare and hospice providers

Remember, there are some disabled people who voted for this clown.

In 2027, Medicaid recipients will have to participate in at least 80 hours a month of employment, job training, educational program, community service activities, or a combination of these activities in order to receive Medicaid. Exceptions include those those who are disabled and those who are caregiving.

If a republican told you they support this, what argument would you use to convince them Medicaid work requirements are a bad idea?

My state eliminated religious exemptions in 2019 so all kids attending public and private schools are vaccinated, except of course those with medical exemptions. However parents who choose to homeschool are not required to comply with the vaccination requirements. I get angry when I read an article about a child dying from measles or other vaccine preventable diseases. I get the notion of parental rights to raise their children how they see fit, I feel its unfair that a child has to die because of their parents stupidity.
