So, been on a quest for some very specific dice that I can't find. I like dice that I can run as a DM for the big tide-turning rolls. I want dice that are easily seen from across the table from everybody. I do have a set of 30mm D20s and they're pretty decent, but they're speckled and can be difficult to read. Size is nice, but not the color. I have another set of dice that are hard plastic and 60mm d20s. Yeah, they're giant suckers. They're basically the ball-o-doom from Indiana Jones if I try to throw them.
And let's not even discuss the 100mm dog toy that I bought just for s**ts and giggles.
So what I'm after are a set of matte/satin black dice. I want either unpainted or white. IF POSSIBLE, I'd like larger dice like 25 or 30mm. The black/white ones in the bottom are half-transparent, you just can't see it from the current lighting.
So. Anybody know where I might be able to find some o those?
Edit: HOLY SLIMY S***BALLS, BATMAN! To all of the Ladies and Germs that told me about RAM timings, you are OUTSTANDING!
Let's start out with specs. Ryzen 5 5600X @ 3.7 GHz, 32 GB RAM. GTX 3070 (not that GPU much matters here...)
OK, so.... Fulgora was pieced together using bots. Only a few bots. About 100k bots. No big deal. Everything worked. I have a nice manual grid of electric poles and lightning collectors slapped all over boom diggity. Gobs and gobs of electricity for DAYS.
But hey, my output isn't enough. I keep running low on things because I don't have reliable logistics set up. I don't have loops set up for quality.
Oh yeah, quality... I haven't done quality. I did a ton of Legendary for my mech armor, tool belts, reactors, etc. And man that was a nightmare. But whatever, now I've got it. But I know to get those, I had to go through hundreds of thousands of raw, non-quality materials just to get enough legendary for mech armor and stuff.
SO of COURSE it's gonna be that nasty when I go for legendary buildings, inserters, etc... so I'm going to need a MASSIVE factory.
So I did.
First, I built up Gleba. I put in so much Carbon Fiber production that I now have 1.2 million in stock. Hey, I knew I'd need a lot for foundations, so I built. A lot. I have 4 stacks lanes each of Yamiko and Jelly Nut. It's VERY fluid and not perfect, but stuff rarely backs up. I do NOT get credit for this design. I stole it from [u/khanut](https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comments/1rjlt6n/comment/olgn1ks/).
I'm quite convinced that so many spoilage age calculations are one of the larger contributors to my 30 UPS. So I'm about to redo it so it's reduced by half.
So, ON TO FULGORA! OK, not so bad. But let's scale things up. Gonna need a lot of recycling. No doubt about it. Well, I built a large array. 16 lanes should be good. Hmmm... OK, let's go 32 just to be safe. And to make sure we have enough recyclers, let's go 80 units per lane. Done. Oh, gonna need more bots. 390,000 should be good.
So I can now pass 32 lanes of stacked belts through my array without any slow-downs, looping back on itself so any untaken items get recycled down another iteration and again passed through the loop for pickup. My goal is to split individual items off and ship them around via train. I know this will help my current "Let the bots do it all". But first, let's create this giant loop of belts. Let's say about 180,000 belts. And I'm going to let the bots do it all. See that red square off on the left? That was my massive belt loop AFTER I shrunk it. It did go all the way to the south end of the screenshot. I knew I'd need more room! :D Maybe I was wrong.
BUT WHAT SCALE? No idear... Here's my build for legendary quality modules. Now I'm imagining doing this for all 4,000 different building types and entities in Factorio and brain go splut. Do I need 50 of EACH with 300 recyclers? Are the legendary buildings, for example Foundries, so amazing that one can replace 20? So in reality, I don't need 400 legendary foundries produced? Or do I need to scale such that I'll eventually need 2,000 of them? I have no idea.
So I'm at my current scale and my UPS is a steamy turd.
So tell me, Obiwan Kenobi! You're my only hope! What's the REAL scale I'm going to need for building Legendary stuff? Because 30 UPS (and dropping) just ain't sustainable.
The pictures are a little old. Took them 4 years ago, but forgot about them. The Red Door in Clovis, NM. LATE at night. Had to get some food for the kids. This was the first place I found. I can't recommend the place for the food, but it was busy and the scenery was obviously tops.
