What are filler only stories/concepts that you register in your head canon
I think for me personally things like Family Day, Deepa, & Urashiki are things that exist in my head canon but obviously I understand that they’re not actually canon

I really like Boruto. I really do but man I feel like we’ve lost some of the essence from the original series.
This isn’t hate it’s just something that’s a shame in my opinion cause I feel like they could add even more dimension & depth to Boruto.
These are things that personally I miss and I hope we see some of them moving forward
Proper Genjutsu Specialists
Now granted, yes we got Mirai but she’s such a D list character and her hot springs arc was really more about her relationship with her father and didn’t focus much on her actual fighting ability but am I the only one who’s confused about what happened to Genjutsu? It was such a powerful and useful asset in the old series and in Boruto it’s not even slightly used. We literally saw the Infinite Tsukuyomi used as a like a god tier weapon/ability and since then Genjutsu has been really nonexistent. Even Sarada who has a MS hasn’t ever (to my recollection) even used her basic Sharingan Genjustsu.
Kekkei Genkai (Non-Shinjutsu based)
This one annoys me especially because we saw soooooo many different kinds of it in Naruto and they’ve subsequently been replaced by Amados cybernetics & Otsutsuki abilities but I really do miss the og style Kekkei Genkai. Do you remember when Kimimaro used his Kekkei Genkai and used his own bones as weapons and how sick it was? Why haven’t we seen anything other than new Ocular abilities? It’s a shame cause they’ve had opportunities but just haven’t used them.
New Clans
Something cool about the original series is that we were introduced to so many clans with their own distinct abilities but this time around they didn’t really do that (apart from the anime with the cat clan or wtv). It was something really cool and was always interesting to see a clan with their own technique or set of abilities and Boruto completely forgot about that. (Not even as side characters)
Anbu Black Ops
I know that post Danzo their role/methods changed massively but bro COME ON. They were secret agent ninja and they don’t get utilized at allllll. The anime explores them ever so slightly but I still miss the actual aura & purpose that they served. Anbu got shafted in my eyes and they would’ve had so many opportunities in Boruto.
Why does everyone hate Kon so much?
Granted I’m only just starting the Arrancar: The Arrival arc.
But I like Kon. Kinda just a comic relief character that’s there for funsies.
Try to keep it relatively spoiler free
For the record I don’t mean the fanbase but more so the characters in the story.
But does anyone actually enjoy Kawakis presence or even remotely like him?
Eida doesn’t seem to be to fond of him anymore since NNG.
Sarada & Sumire don’t like him at all
Shikamaru doesn’t seem like the biggest fan
Even Mitsuki is fed up with him and he kept pushing the Kawaki is my sun agenda for a minute there.
The only person that seems to still like him is Himawari but she’s convinced that Kawaki is her blood brother so it’s like fake-unconditional love for him. And I guess Cho-Cho but she just thinks he’s good looking.
Feels like people are more friendly towards Boruto at times which is odd since he’s a rogue ninja.
The guy doesn’t even wear his Shinobi Headband so clearly he doesn’t respect the village all that much either but it seems like no one really likes him all that much.
With Sarada obtaining her Mangekyo it’s been heavily theorized how she is to obtain her EMS
Now there’s only a handful of viable donors that she could even get her EMS from in the first place
Sasukes old eyes (assuming they weren’t destroyed)
&
Shin Uchiha (but this might not even work in the first place due to her not having any blood ties to Shin)
However, is the most realistic & viable solution not having Amado create a clone of an Uchiha with close enough blood ties in order to do the transplant?
The only people in Saradas family that could be viable clones are Sasuke, Itachi, or Fugaku (since they’re the only ones with a Mangekyo)
Realistically they wouldn’t allow him to clone Sasuke for safety purposes but I think creating a clone of Fugaku could be an oddly interesting character moment for Sasuke. Allow your own daughter to go blind but you have to allow your father be cloned in order to do so.
(If this were to happen I’d imagine they would approach this story after Sasuke being freed from the tree)
(Before people talk about the Moral dilemma of this we’ve seen Amado create clones that aren’t even technically alive just shells for the soul. Like the clone he made for Akebi to receive the Karma with).
I feel like everyone has a different opinion about what antagonist are good and which are bad.
You’ll see people hate Jura but love Code and vice versa.
Me personally I like both of them but i definitely prefer Jura as I find his character a lot more interesting.
We know that one of Sarada’ Mangekyo abilities is Ōhirume.
What do you guys think her 2nd ability will be?
I feel like the most probable is Amaterasu since her dad & uncle both have it but I think they’ve explored all the real time feats / capabilities of it so for me personally I’d rather not see her get it
But I could also see a flame control esc ability for her Ōhirume that allows her to further control her black holes
This isn’t a theory of something that I think would happen but I’m curious if it would work
So how does Momoshiki being inside Boruto work exactly. Is it like 2 souls in one body or is it like Momoshiki is inside of Borutos subconscious?
If it’s the 2 souls in 1 body situation
In theory couldn’t have Sasuke or any Rinnegan wielder have used the Human Path to extract Momoshikis soul?
In doing this they also would’ve learned everything that Momoshiki knows about the Otsutsuki & Boruto wouldn’t have been killed since he still retains his soul?
Before I hear any “tHis gUY cLEaRly hASn’T rEAd tHe mANga” I have but I feel like they’ve explained it both ways so I’m a little confused.
For the record I don’t think this would happen but I think it’s at least interesting to think about.
Amado has been moving mad lately.
Is there a world where Amado isn’t actually trying to revive his daughter? & in reality wants to revive Shìbai?
It’s still not fully clear what took place for Amado to get possession of his cells. (As in where they were originally obtained)
Trying to revive a human using something intended for Otsutsuki sounds like a stretch to anyone. But not at all if you account for this theory since Shíbai is this godly figure he would be able to revive Amados daughter with one of his abilities.
I think the theory atleast warrants discussion and if I’m missing something or forgot to account for something feel free to mention it.
(Could explain more why he got Ishiki killed since he probably wouldn’t want Shíbai to be revived for x reason apart from the divine tree thing)
Omnipotence has to be the most busted / confusing ability ever in fiction. Seems like there’s a million ways to counter it but the general consensus is Memories > Physical proof which doesn’t rly check out entirely.
Kawaki gets a blood test = something is wrong
Boruto is the one that lost his eye = something is wrong
People just look at Boruto (looks just like Naruto) = something is really really wrong
Like I feel like the fanbase justifies it because “it is what it is” but I have mixed feelings on it
Hear me out right cause I know this sounds dumb
Boruto lost his eye in the initial fight against Kawaki
However when he activates his karma the eye temporarily returns as a Byakugan (somehow)
But listen right. The Naruto Universe is a world where people could do EYE TRANSPLANTS.
Like exceptionally easily. And especially with the added fact that he was with SASUKE for yeaaaars. THE GUY HAD BOTH HIS EYES SWAPPED OUT?
This has to just be aura farming right?
Surely he could’ve gotten himself an eye atp
Amado has always been a sketchy character. But this last chapter man. He brought the levels up.
Him giving Kawaki this frog was an absolutely genius chess move on his part.
He’s insured his life against one of the most mentally unstable characters in the series while also providing himself with one of the most dangerous weapons against that same character.
Kawaki won’t kill him because without Amado he won’t be able to use his abilities in this more efficient way. However Amado at a moments notice can activate some hidden shutdown code on Kawaki.
Then the Koji thing. We have to see what happens with this moving forward. But there’s so many outcomes that can happen.
My personal theory is that he’s going to have Koji look into the future & see if Kawaki is actually going to revive his daughter. Something like Koji: “I’ve looked at all possible outcomes and in none of them has your daughter received a karma” and then it’d get even crazier (Ik this is super speculative but I think it’d be sooo cool)
I think it’s no secret that people haven’t been immensely happy with the lack of consequence that TBV has had throughout its run.
You can attribute this to a bunch of factors but I think the main thing was Koji.
When you have a character that can literally see glimpses into the future & dance around all consequences. It makes it very difficult to tell a story that feels high stakes. Cause it’s technically not.
I think this new chapter plans on changing the dynamic he has in the story. Whether Amado sets him free, kills him, or even tries to use his powers to see if Kawaki even will implant the karma into his daughter (the most likely imo). Koji won’t be there for a while to guide Boruto. Meaning things will begin to get more tense and more rash decisions will have to be made.
Not saying this will fix EVERYTHING but it could be the start of the TBV that fans were expecting.
Is there a reason it’s monthly?
I could see this being a bi-weekly story and it being just fine
I don’t understand what exactly takes a month?
Is it the drawing or writing?
Only reason I’m asking is cause not a lot will happen inbetween the span of 3-4 chapters and this seems like a very clear issue there gonna run into when they start the anime back up.
So as we know the anime ended about 17 chapters prior to the conclusion of NNG.
And with that the most important part of the entire storyline with it.
Whats the best way for them to approach the return of the anime
Another Boruto movie that sums up the last 17 chapters then the TBV show
or
Going straight into TBV with flashbacks from the missed chapters
or even
Just doing like 20 more episodes of p1 and then timeskip directly
if you have other theories or fun ideas I wanna hear cause its not common that they cut off animes at such a pivotal point of the story
Is it ever explained where Ishiki got the ten tails from?
I don’t know if I’m forgetting but I don’t think they ever explained where tf it came from
Theoretical Question: alright so there’s a new tentails (somehow) that’s evolved into tree people. Once the tree people are defeated assuming they just all become the ten tails again would that ten tails be made up of different 9 tailed beast? Like say the separate the ten tails into 9 tailed beast again would it be the same 9 or a new 9?
I swear Daemon didn’t get any older inbetween parts 1 & 2 or am I tripping?
Every other character has some changes to their clothes or atleast are a bit taller. Daemon looks virtually the same as part 1. Does he not grow?
—————————————————————————-
What happened to the whole Eida being in love with Kawaki thing? Seems like she doesnt care about him that much anymore; in all honesty she seems more into Boruto than Kawaki in recent chapters.
Is that how they’re gonna deal with Omnipotence? By Eida wanting to help Boruto so she does a 180 on everybody?
—————————————————————————-
Code man. He was cool at the start but he really got the Kabuto treatment. Foiled by his own creations and honestly. He’s not even that cool as an antagonist in comparison to the tree people, momoshiki, or Kawaki.
Seems like somewhat of a waste for what could’ve been a cool character
I made a post recently about me finishing the anime and I was pretty happy with it.
However, I was really interested in how the story was to continue so I started reading through the following chapters.
I can’t lie it’s super sick. Just made it to Chapter 9 of tbv & it’s really interesting so far…
But I have one glaring issue with this whole Omnipotence thing. I fully understand that physical evidence < memories. But it doesn’t make sense logically. If you go to Naruto’s house you will find countless pictures of Boruto as a child and none of Kawaki prior to the age of like 14. Plus the really obvious Boruto looks exactly like Naruto thing.
So am I missing something or is this just a really confusing and weirdly complicated power
Is it ever in any capacity explained how Boruto is eligible to receive the Jougan?
Like yes Toneri had a part in it and it's explained that Boruto always had the potential but Toneri sped up the process or wtv... But what was it.
Like yes Boruto has both Hagoromo and Hamura's chakra but is it like an evolution of the Byakugan? Cause Boruto has the Byakugan even at the end of the anime (when hes under momoshikis control). So is it like The Sharingan to the Rinnegan but even more complicated to get it?
Madara got the Rinnegan by infusing his and hashiramas chakra but he only awakened it like 60 years later when he was already an old man.
Is that what Toneri did? Like awaken his Jougan prior to the Byakugan which is why boruto cant use it at will, since he doesn't have mastery of the Byakugan?
Don't know if this is reaching but it made enough sense to me to want to at least post about it.
