Hello everyone, I hope I am in the right place! I have searched and searched the WWW for an answer to this and I have found nothing definitive. I know this Reddit is only for entertainment lighting, but I think the light I have is supposed to be for entertainment purposes even if I'm trying to use it at my house. People definitely use it for big things based on the promo pictures, and I'm hoping someone will know.

I am an aspiring YouTuber that will have a channel all about fountain pen inks, so I researched for days about what is needed in lights for color accuracy, good lighting, etc. I purchased the COLBOR CL100X in January, and holy smokes is it way too bright on 1% the lowest setting. I goofed and got too much power. Someone told me to turn it upside down and bounce it off the ceiling which was great! Except the light says do not do this it will overheat so no bueno.

Someone else said put fabric over the light, and I was thinking a small scrap held by a rubber band only around the black part. Will that be a fire hazard? It's away from the fans and vents.

Any suggestions on dimming this bad boy? I can't return it, and I have to have it on my arm system on my desk, so moving it away distance wise isn't feasible. I'd appreciate any help I can get! If I really am in the wrong spot I'm sorry! Just let me know and I can delete it.

Sorry if this is silly, but her mouth is looking weird and behind her head the skin looked sunken in despite the fact she's gotten a bit thicc over the winter and spring. I'm honestly wondering if it is because she's gotten fat as her movement has almost diminished. All she wants to do is chill under her heat lamp.

Two pictures was before she ate. Her on the plate is after she ate which she did immediately with the hopper presented to her. She's getting ready to shed also. No breathing heavy or anything else amiss.
