Breeders
I was just wondering if anyone knew of some okay breeders? I've been looking for a rosy, but all of the breeders I found are pricy. Like 400-500 dollars pricy. I feel like that's a bit much, perchance.

My boa is 10months old, around 16in. and I think she weighs around 35grams, but my scale isn’t really accurate and I need a new one. Right now she’s eating fuzzies once a week, but when should I size her up?
If anyone has a good feeding chart to follow, or just general advice on when to switch food, that would be awesome
Sometimes a gal just needs a spa day I guess 😂
This is my rosy boa who seems to be more interested in being taken out of his enclosure than eating. Every time I come near his enclosure and he is out he usually comes to this corner because he knows it’s where I pick him up. Unfortunately this is getting in the way of feeding because he won’t eat when I try to feed him. It’s been months since he has eaten from the tongs. The only way he eats is when I leave the mouse and leave the room. This has caused him to miss so many feedings because he doesn’t want to eat the mouse that isn’t moving. He still eats every like 3 weeks after around 2-3 attempts. So he’s fine but I really want to get him to eat a normal every two weeks right from the tongs. He’s never bit anyone and might be a little too friendly for his own good. How can I get him to stop doing that. Thanks👍
Hi everyone, I’m planning on getting a Rosy Boa soon, are there any tips for a beginner Rosy Boa owner? I’ve had reptiles before but never a snake I’ve heard that Rosys rarely bite however I do know that every snake has their own personality. Are there any recommended breeders? Places or websites I should visit to try and get a Rosy? I am from Cali and I know they’re usually from here and Arizona, I’m also open to any tips for handling them, lmk thx :)
I wanted to share my sweet boy Jax, and his reptile room. He's my only rosy, the rest are BPs. I truly got lucky finding him, 2 years ago they weren't easy to get so when he popped up an hour away from me I didn't hesitate. He's an amazingly gentle and friendly, he also got me past a life-long fear of snakes. I'd never held one until him, and I never knew how much I could love them until I got this boy. So glad he's mine!! 🩵🐍
Have you ever seen a snake yawn? Accidently caught this while trying to get a video of her drinking water 🐍
We'll be attempting our first feed (a large pinky) today or tomorrow - what's the best way to thaw these guys? Some say fridge then warm water, others say warm water no fridge. I've seen a hairdryer being thrown out there as an option as well. Is there a preferred way to defrost a mouse?
getting a boa Rosie mostly because my family has the phobia of snakes and I have to expose your train them
Does anyone recommend a good regulating temperature controller with a timer? I’m changing my rosy to a bigger enclosure and trying to get everything for his new setup first. Here’s an older photo of him, snake tax must be paid.
Show me pictures of your rosies climbing!
As the title says, the cool side of both my rosy's tanks are too hot. I didn't have this problem last year, but it is already hotter than normal and I moved rooms to the other side of the apartment so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I bought mini aquarium fans that have a timer and can change fan strength because pointing my standing fan at the tanks wasn't helping enough. The mini fans seem to be working. They are on top of the mesh lids pointed directly into the tanks and they don't drop humidity below 20%. Is it okay for them to be getting that constant breeze for 8 hours a day directly in the tank from the mesh lid though?
My rosy boa shed for the first time since I’ve had him and he shed perfectly besides on his face. He has stuck shed and an eyecap. Any ideas as to what should be done?
