Chili Pepper exploring my cluttered desk 😅

At least it provides the noodle some fun, he loves the lego cat and the corner (very dark and cozy, probably)

Can I pass better at all? (MANY PHOTOS PROVIDED)

Over the past month I've tried to take photos of myself at varying angles and random times to get a better idea of what I look like when I'm not actively trying to look better for a picture.

I'm aware that I don't fully pass currently. I am just a few days short of being 1 year on testosterone, but for the majority of that time my provider refused to increase me from low-dose. Only about 3 months ago did I start dosing 0.25mL of a 200mg vial. Is there anything I can do for my face to pass?

Not sure if it's relevant but I am 5'3 and my voice passes close to all of the time now, although I do have a very strong feminine accent/cadence I am trying to train myself out of. So just based on voice people assume I am a very feminine gay man. I am 16 years old.

Daytime VS Nighttime feeding

I feel guilty about feeding my rosy during the day, because almost always he is asleep and I have to prod him so he notices it's time for food. Does this really bother him? And if so, would feeding him when it's dark out and his lamps are off be a better choice?

Shed concerns

My boy Chili just finished his second shed in the ~6 months I've had him. His first shed went very well and came off in one clean piece, but this time there were two sections, one with a large rip near his neck.

The differences since his perfect shed:

-Switched his substrate from aspen chips to soil + sand

-Have had trouble keeping his humidity as high as it was during his first shed, as it's summer now (Recently his humidity has been sitting around 30-40%)

I was also surprised to find the half of his shed that included his face bunched up under one of his rocks that he likes to sleep under. It's large enough for him to safely hide in, but I would assume too snug for him to comfortably shed in there, so why did he spend so much time hiding while shedding?

I'm not sure if the broken shed indicates any husbandry problems, I'm just looking for advice on how to improve his conditions if it does. Thank you for reading all this :')

putting a blanket over his tank at night??????

Ok so this might be a crazy question but whatever. I get most of my motivation to clean up and organize during the night, but I don't want to turn on the light in my bedroom because my snake lives in here as well and I don't want to disrupt his day/night cycle or whatever. If I were to drape a blanket over his enclosure while the lights are on during nighttime, would that still disturb him?

Ashamed snek 😢

He refused to eat, then buried his head in the dirt to hide his shame.

I left the mouse in there in case he changes his mind... I think it's because it was wet rather than his usual dry mouse. Picky boy.

Should I feed more frequently? (44 grams, 12 months old)

My male rosy currently weighs 44 grams at the age of one year and a length of ~18 inches. Although his body does not appear underweight/malnourished, I know that he should be significantly heavier at this age. As of now, he is eating 1 fuzzy every 8 days. The thickest part of his body is pretty much exactly the size of these mice, so I feel like sizing up would be a bad idea, but maybe I should start feeding more often to help him gain weight?

I have noticed that he has been defecating about twice a week and producing a liquidy texture, but this is a very recent development and he's been on the smaller side for a while (came to me at 30 grams, 6 months). I intend to take him to the vet soon for a regular check-up as he'll be a year old at the end of July.

Chili enjoying his new rocks

I found so many nice rocks for Chili's tank while on vacation recently. He really likes this slab of granite and a big hunk of sandstone :D so cute

GOTTA GO FAST (feeding, dead mouse)

I thought I could get a cool video of Chili striking and slow it down. Apparently he's too good for my measly FPS.

snake diarrhea??

Unfortunately I don't have a photo because the feces had to be cleaned up immediately (long story short he shat on someone's shirt while I was letting them hold him).

It looked to be a lighter color than usual, less of those white clumps than usual (only 1-2), and much more liquidy than usual. Does this sound like some kind of sickness or digestion issue?

Thank you for any help 🥲

Weird orange coloring on scales

My apologies i wasn't able to get a photo of this. I was holding my snake when i noticed a section of his scales near his underbelly looked dusted with yellow-orange, like he had slithered through lemon zest or something. The color didn't come off with a gentle rub or letting him slither over it more. Could there be something wrong with his skin?
