Does F.E.A.R. 1 remind anyone else of their childhood?

F.E.A.R. 1 looks exactly like my childhood; everything from the lighting, the materials of the walls, and even the office ambience is drenched in the most authentic reflection of how the early 2000s actually were, as opposed to nostalgic cash-ins or other exaggerated aesthetics. Does anyone else born shortly before the game came out feel the same way?

I'm making F.E.A.R., but as an open zone RPG in a post-post apocalypse / dystopia. Would the F.E.A.R. community be interested in this?

Hello!! :) for the past 8 months I have been developing a game inspired off of old RPG and shooters; my main influences are Daggerfall, Fallout New Vegas, F.E.A.R., and the original DOOM trilogy (Doom 3, not 64). You start out weak with knives and your fists, and by the end game you'll be either casting spells or a hyper advanced cyborg. The combat is going to heavily lean into the more tactical aspects of F.E.A.R. 1, as well as having more horror than games like Trepang2. I know the idea sounds abstract, but what would the community of F.E.A.R want to see in a game of this structure?
