Canon R50 with Canon RF 100-400 lens. My favorite pics are the duck saying “cheese” and the blackbird stripping.
I recently got into wildlife photography and got the canon r50 with the 100-400 lens. Silly me, I ordered the body only camera without any standard lens on it and now regret it. I would like to purchase a lens for everyday shooting, people portraits, pets, etc. It’s pretty hard to do with the 100-400 lens since it’s longer range. Thank you!
We have been fostering cats for years. In the past, we used to introduce fosters to our cats and let them all hang out while waiting for adoption. At some point we decided to stop doing that because the introduction period was too stressful for everyone and didn’t seem worth it since the fosters would be adopted eventually. We also have a cat that’s territorial and started peeing places when new fosters would come in. Not to mention risk of transmitting viruses, etc.
Fast forward to now, we have 2 foster rooms. During the day, we let the fosters out to roam the hall and bathroom, taking turns between the 2 rooms. These aren’t some tiny bathroom, we have one regular room, and our master bedroom with a walk in closet and en suite bath, which are both foster rooms. We sleep in a different bedroom. There are many cat trees, shelves, toys, tv, radio, beds. I try to go visit each foster 3 times a day. Unfortunately nothing seems to be good enough. They cry and cry and cry, because they dont want to be stuck in there. I get it, it’s probably lonely and it sucks, and I’m not blaming them but I’m going crazy. The constant crying and scratching at the door from multiple cats is extremely stressful and mentally distressing and not to mention that when it happens at night nobody gets much sleep. At this point I’m considering not fostering anymore. Has anyone been in this situation? Do you have any ideas or suggestions before I give up completely?
