Meliodas Longsword alternative build

I was looking over my characters when I noticed Meliodas's engraved armour for his longsword isn't that amazing. Well it is a solid damage increase, that's about all it is, it doesn't add any new interesting properties to how you play him. So I figured hey why not give him some normal armour instead and see if it's any better. I've seen similar ideas before but I'm not sure if they're exactly like this:

  • The eye of the ominous star top mainly for the increased crit damage it provides. I need a better roll on it but it feels like it was made for Meliodas since he tags in and then tags out in less than 10 seconds
  • Mad miner 2 piece set for crit damage
  • Arachne 3 piece set for crit chance increase
  • Bloody scale belt just to fill a slot and he does tag in a lot after all so it can't hurt

About the only main issue is I need a better enchant on my sword, it's max crit chance but I'd like some crit damage there too. Testing this out it seems like it's faster at killing or sometimes just on par with the engraved set. It's not insanely better but at least it gives a use to these pieces. I did also try the 4 piece crafted armour set that increases crit damage and normal skill damage, it was basically on the same level as the engraved armour too but it was worse than this setup. With all buffs crit chance should hit 100% and crit damage should be at 212%.

As for the team, Diane is there for the burst with the adventurer's gauntlets for a slight increase to the burst speed, although any burster would do. Daisy has her 3rd engraved armour set for the crit chance and crit defense it adds on, plus she uses a Melody of Temptation Grimoire maxed out for an extra 40% crit resistance decrease. I would probably not use this without her since I think she really makes it work with her gear. And Mannie is just there for the first strike and her buff. Potentials are P1 Diane, P6 Meliodas, P3 Daisy, and P5 Mannie. Most potential points are useless imo and that's why my Daisy and Diane aren't maxed yet.

I hope this post helps to inspire people! I just wanted to hopefully get the ball rolling on discussions in here. If you have any ways to make this setup better or a different suggestion for what to use feel free to share!

This subreddit is the most negative I've seen for any game

Yes there are flaws with the game no doubt. But we don't need 100 threads about that, you can coalesce your thoughts together yk, or maybe the mods should make a mega thread for it. Yes we need more to do, yes the pulls are ridiculously low, and yes several other things are odd designs, but half the complaints are complete non issues that are either the result of people not understanding the game systems or wanting the progression of a non gacha game. This is a gacha, ofc it's grindy but they've put in a lot of systems in place that made it better since launch without making it completely afk. Yes I wish it wasn't a gacha but it's what we're stuck with. And you don't really need to worry about getting the best stats right now either, I'm a f2p who's spent about 90% of platinum only on new engraved outfits (so no rerolling) and I'm able to clear all the current content no problem.

And it's completely fine to just leave the game alone for a while if it's not suiting you! Sure you miss out on rewards but if you're not having any fun why wait around so you can draw a character you like and then still not have any fun with them? These developers are shockingly responsive and involved with the community, so I'm pretty sure they'll fix a lot of issues like they already have. And for feedback why not put it in the official discord or a feedback form if they have one? I'm not sure if they do but I doubt they're checking this subreddit.

I just would rather see a bit more interesting non negative discussion on here, like different builds or other discoveries, rather than the 100th post about how the devs NEED to fix this or that or the game will flop. Vote with your wallets or in this case playtime and just not play, and it might accelerate their dev time. Although I'd rather them not rush out content personally.

Insane luck on the worst possible character

130 and a level 3 bonus... for Dredrin. I had to max out his masteries because I had hit max potential through summons (both of my multi pulls on the Clotho banner gave me him), so I figured hey why not get him his engraved equipment too. He's also my first P10 now!

While he does help out at charging magic quite a bit on rapier, he just is not worth it compared to other characters. Both his normal and special attack are focused on magic charging which is nice, but his ultimate increases attack, which would be more helpful, except it's his ultimate and that takes more magic than you make with just a standard rotation on him. He could be helpful in large parties if you just want to play support, but solo play does not seem to be a good place to use him.

Most likely character release order imo

Note this is all my opinion and just for fun while I wait for the update, but I do think there's enough evidence to support it being what will happen. So far the characters released were sins, oc, sin, and now oc. Also we know that both Merlin and Elizabeth are due to release next as they have swimsuit skins releasing around the end of June.

The loading screen for the game also shows the sins icons in the order of Meliodas, Escanor, Merlin, Gowther, King, Ban, and Diane. So far the first 2 were that exact order, and Merlin is almost guaranteed to be next so that makes those 3 a lock. The only problem is, both King and Diane are already in the game as normal SSRs. I personally don't think it makes much sense for them to release King before Ban but I am pretty positive both King and Diane will get rereleases. Kings sacred treasure is sort of in the game but it technically isn't and he still has his winged form to add. As for Diane her default outfit is absent and she could even get a giant form, plus her sacred treasure is missing.

The other key bit of info is we know some content already exists for Derieri, Liz(could be a skin for Elizabeth), and Lancelot. There might be others I'm unaware of though. And seeing as we're all out of OC's now aside from the main villain, I suspect the release order will be sin -> main series non-sin character/oc if more come out.

So to sum it up, here is what the timeline should look like:

May 13th-Clotho > June 3rd-Merlin > June 24-Elizabeth > July 15th-Gowther > August 5th-Non-sin, I'd guess Derieri > August 26th-King > September 16th-Probably Lancelot to go with his dad > October 7th-Ban and so on, probably with the sins repeating with new forms.

Now that I look at the dates, I think maybe Ban is being released after king so he comes out in October to mark the 14 year anniversary of the manga as it first released in October 10th, 2012. That's the only reason I can think of they would redo King before him, just as a way to generate hype. Anyways I just wanted to organize my thoughts somewhere on this, if anybody has any better ideas lmk but this is what I think is most likely based on what I know!
