It used to be my least favorite title of the NES era growing up. The lack of dialogue and unfinished feel, team balance and general difficulty being points I remember as a kid. Now it’s simply incredible. The team’s dialogue is hilarious, the way they dig at each other like a real team of lordly heroes would, Midenhall getting cracked for having no magic abilities and mute. The brother n sister repartée, and Moonbrooke’s crisis of conscience. I’m only leading up to my infiltration of Rendarak and this has barreled its way into my top 5 very quickly of this old salt’s DQ loving heart

I’m on my 1st play through and was just awestruck on how great this Bugbear trader was at Moonrise. The mustache, the drip, I’m making my way through Act 2 and it just keeps getting better and better. I feel the immersion every time I step into a new area.
