Today, I had an interview and unfortunately got rejected. I was feeling pretty low, so instead of going straight home and sitting with those thoughts, I started doing Rapido rides. I just wanted to be out on the roads, feel the cool breeze, and clear my head. It was also about to rain.

Then I got a ride from CBIT, Hyderabad.

The passenger's name was Nitya. She was wearing a white T-shirt and had earphones in. While I was riding, it started raining, and then suddenly it became really heavy. I asked her if I should stop somewhere or continue, and she said it was fine and that we could continue.

She seemed a little rude to me at first, but maybe she was just listening to music and couldn't hear me properly because of her earphones.

Anyway, I dropped her at the location. Until that moment, I didn't feel anything unusual.

But when she was paying me, I finally looked at her properly. She was completely drenched from the rain. There were tiny drops of water all over her face, and one was falling from her chin. Then she smiled at me.

I don't know how to explain it, but she looked incredibly beautiful in that moment. Not in a lustful way. It was just... peaceful and beautiful. For some reason, looking at her actually made me feel relaxed after such a horrible day.

She didn't give me her exact drop location and instead walked a couple of roads ahead. I watched her walk away, and at one point she lifted her pants slightly because of the water on the road. Somehow even that little thing felt cute and wholesome to me.

She eventually turned at a corner and disappeared.

Now I'm back home, and I can't stop thinking about that moment. Her face in the rain keeps coming back to my mind.

I know I don't actually know her, so maybe I'm not attracted to her as a person. Maybe I'm just attached to this random beautiful moment that happened on a terrible day.

But it's strange how a person you've known for barely 20 minutes can leave such a peaceful feeling behind.

Has anyone else ever had a random encounter with a stranger that stayed in your mind like this?
