Desperately seeking foster homes for cats

Hi everyone, I work with a cat rescue based out of Tillsonburg and we are desperately seeking foster homes as our shelter is currently at max capacity, as well as every other local rescue or shelter, and we have been receiving an extraordinary amount of pleas for help every single day. It breaks our heart to have to leave these vulnerable cats outside because we simply do not have the room.

We are overflowing with kittens along with every other rescue and need help from the community to continue saving these precious kitties. Yesterday we had a member of the community bring us a mom and her 4 tiny babies. Today we have two moms with a total of 8 kittens coming in. Thankfully a foster space opened up or we would not have been able to get these sweeties out of the heat and into a safe and loving environment to raise their kittens.

Whether you are able to foster a single cat or a whole family it makes a world of a difference. All it takes is a spare room, it doesn’t have to be large, a small space can actually be beneficial for cats as large unfamiliar rooms can feel overwhelming to a nervous cat. We provide all supplies and vet care, all that’s required is your love, time, and a bit of driving (to pick up supplies and for vet appointments).

I will attach some photos of some cats and kittens from a woman who contacted us needing help, but we need foster homes to do so. Please pm me if you would like some further info or would like to see more photos of some cats in our shelter needing fosters as this also opens up space for us to help more kitties. We have some absolute cuties 😉

Foster kitten behind developmentally, is there anything I can do to get her up to speed?

I have been fostering a mom and her kittens who are 6 weeks old today, but my question is actually about another foster kitten of mine who is the same age and I took in about 10 days ago. She was with another foster from birth until I took her on. She sadly had a difficult entrance into the world and almost didn’t make it. She was a singleton born to a senior mom. Sadly around 2 weeks old she came down with upper resp and again almost didn’t make it, she needed cpr during that time as well. Her mom rejected her when she got sick so she’s been a bottle baby since then.

Fast forward to now and I have noticed that she is behind compared to my other babies. She’s much smaller and wobblier. She seemed like she’s developmentally behind around 2 weeks. She is still bottle fed and can’t gain weight without bottles. Is there anything I can do to help her catch up or is all I can do just give her time?
