What type of plant is this? Phoenix, AZ

This started growing in my backyard several months ago and it didn’t look like the typical weeds I get in the yard. Any ideas? Should I rip it out?

It’s just under 4ft tall at this point.

Skelotonizing a Saguaro

Hello all,

Does anyone know how to skelotonize a saguaro? I had this gorgeous one just fall and would love to be able to keep it in some way as a reminder and possibly make some art with it. It’s about 35 or 40 feet tall and would be a project, but sad to see it go.
