Any fellow Dungeon Crawler Carl fans here??? If you’re all out there I propose we start a petition to Matt to hear Donut’s opinions on Siberians before the end of the series. I must know what she thinks of our (obviously perfect) floofers!

If you haven’t heard of it or are on the fence about starting it - fantastic book series featuring a coast guard vet and his ex girlfriend’s (talking) purebred show Persian. The audio is a pure joy, also. The author knows his cat breeds, cat shows and cat …everything. That’s actually how I picked it up originally, Donut’s titles were all correct and I was impressed. 😂😂

Anyway, highly recommended for cat people. And people who like chaos and explosions and f bombs and…..nonsense that pretends to be far less smarter than it actually is. (It is a beautiful social commentary as well but all that other stuff is less brain work.) 😘

LitRPG event at local library - what would bring you in?

HI all!

I'm in charge of my library system's yearly event that picks a genre to focus on every year. This year we're looking to focus on LitRPG and I'm looking for input on what would bring you into a local library event like this. Our budget is decent but not several authors (let alone 1 Matt Dinniman.........I'm trying for that eventually, though. Maybe in 2050.) decent. Alas.

BUT, we always offer things like trivia, crafts, tables for gaming, a cosplay contest, etc, at these festivals regardless of what the genre is.

Right now our big push is for a live D&D session focusing on story building to center the rest of the programming around. We've done a few before and they're always a blast for everyone.

What other ideas would you love to see from an event like this? It runs all day and we have a large central branch that hosts in several rooms, so multiple things are usually going on at once.

Being a millennial myself, I'm always looking for more ways to bring in that particular crowd, knowing how hard it would be to get to the library myself if I wasn't literally working there. (I'd be a kindle only patron myself, honestly. It would take a lot to get me to make time to get in the door for an event.)

TIA for any suggestions!! Go wild, the sky is not the limit but it would be super cool if it was so let's pretend.

Ok well MY Matt art is DCC related, soooooo…yea!

I have to hang it on myself though.
And Matt had to tell me it was his.
Then he insulted my purebred cats.
They had it coming, it’s fine. They’re idiots.

What’s everyone doing with their floor patches???

This is what I got so far. Shadowbox was my only idea. It’s gonna get real overcrowded when all the kickstarter and backerkit loot arrives. 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

I got lucky and got a full set in Philly. What’s everyone else planning with theirs??
