I see a lot of questions about ingredients like 1,4-Androstenalone on product labels (especially in products like Dianabol-style prohormones), so I figured I'd break down what it is and why companies still use it.

What is 1,4-Androstenalone?

1,4-Androstenalone is a DHEA-derived prohormone ingredient designed to act as a precursor to compounds in the boldenone (Equipoise) family. Unlike fast-acting compounds that mainly focus on strength or aggression in the gym, 1,4-Androstenalone is generally included for a slower, steadier approach to lean muscle gains and body recomposition.

Why do manufacturers include it?

From what I've seen over the years, it's typically added because users are looking for:

The flavor I have is Strawberry Watermelon and it is delicious. It's really hard to screw up amino acid supplements. They almost always taste good, though some exceptions exist. Mixability

I know mixability and clumps can be a concern, but that is mainly with protein supplements. Glycerol, if added to an amino acid supplement, can cause mixing issues as well. But with these Premium Aminos, no mixing issues at all. Goes down easily!

Energy & Hydration

I love that this formula not only has all the aminos (EAA & BCAA) that you need, but Panda also included electrolytes for hydration throughout your workout. This is going to help you stay energaized and give your more endurance. And that's exactly what I got from it. Drinking this the last couple weeks, I was never too tired to finish my workout.

Recovery

Now this one is really hard to quantify. I take creatine, pre-workouts, sleep supplements and get an ample amount of protein per day. I rarely get sore. It was the same taking this supplement as well. Now if you are new to training and are not doing all that other stuff, then this should help you recover faster. But if that is something you aren't doing, I would moreover recommend increasing your protein intake during the day rather than drinking something like this to solve the issue.

Final Thoughts

I normally recommend a lot of other supplements before amino acids. But this with the electrolytes will help you endurance-wise more than water. What Results Did I See?

So I have ran a ton of prohormones over the past decade so I would consider myself an advanced user. With this cycle, I didn't see as much mass and size as some other prohormones such as Sustanon 250 and/or Deca-Durabolin, but it definitely helped with strength and just a better looking physique. I looked more lean and ripped. And my my lifts jumped up dramatically. No side effects either. Even with the Epi-Andro, I didn't get any joint pain from using during my cycle.

The FORM-XT was enough for the PCT as well. Normally I use Arimiplex, but I bounced back pretty quickly with the FORM-XT.

So to summarize by LG Sciences Trifecta Kit experience:

• Not a ton of size
• Good strength gains
• Looked more lean and ripped
• No issues with joints

My Thoughts for Others

I think the Trifecta Kit is great for new users looking for more of a full body recomp and strength gains. It is mid ground. I wouldn't specifically use it for cutting or for bulking. LG Sciences actually has kits for that. But if you just want a little better looking physique and want to hit some strength goals, this is something you should try.

This is Jeff with Supplement Warehouse, and had one of the stranger conversations of my career a couple weeks ago about a product by Blackstone Labs, Halo Elite. This is a product that has one ingredient, eucommia ulmoides.

Regular customer comes in, grabs SIX bottles of the same test/muscle builder off the shelf, not something I usually blink at, but six bottles is a lot even for a regular. So I asked him what he was stacking it with, expecting the usual bodybuilding answer.

Instead he tells me it's not for the gym. It's because of what it did in the bedroom.

Guy says he's dealt with premature ejaculation for years, quietly, never brought it up to a doctor. Went down a Reddit rabbit hole (probably here, ironically) and kept seeing people mention eucommia ulmoides, apparently it's a bark used in traditional Chinese medicine, also called Du Zhong, that's supposedly used for kidney/liver "tonifying" and reproductive health. He said most products either don't include it or dose it way too low to do anything, but he found one with an actual meaningful dose.

His words, not mine: "within two weeks I went from lasting a couple minutes to almost 30 minutes." And then he laughed and said the bonus was it's marketed as a natural muscle builder too, so he felt like he was getting bigger in the gym as a side effect.

I'll be honest, I had never heard eucommia mentioned for this before. Told the rest of the staff about it in case anyone else brings up the same issue, because apparently more guys are dealing with this than admit it out loud.

Did some reading afterward, there's basically zero modern clinical research on eucommia ulmoides for PE specifically. It's all traditional Chinese medicine texts, not RCTs. So this is 100% anecdotal, one customer's experience, not a "this is proven" post. But the placebo effect angle came up in my head too, anyone in here have actual experience (good or bad) with eucommia/Du Zhong for this? Curious if this guy is an outlier or if there's something to it.

TL;DR: customer swore a supplement with eucommia ulmoides (Du Zhong) helped his PE significantly in 2 weeks. Zero real clinical research backs it up, just traditional Chinese medicine use. Anyone else tried it?  

I'll be honest, I usually avoid plant-based proteins. I like whey based protein powders.

Every one I've tried has either tasted like dirt, mixed like drywall, or left me with that chalky aftertaste. Seriously, has been like this for a decade.

Picked up Mother! because I wanted something dairy-free for days my stomach isn't cooperating. Especially with this bug that has been going around in the news lately. Mixed one scoop with about 10 oz of unsweetened almond milk after my workout. This is my wife's, I normally don't drink it.

I was honestly surprised.

The texture was way smoother than I expected. No gritty mouthfeel, no weird pea protein aftertaste, and it actually mixed with just a shaker bottle.

Taste (Chocolate): 9/10. It actually tastes like chocolate instead of "chocolate-flavored vegetables."

About an hour later I still felt full without feeling bloated, which is something I can't say for a lot of other blended proteins. Digestion was easy, and I didn't get that heavy feeling afterward.

From a formula standpoint, I like that it's built around pea and rice protein for a complete amino acid profile, uses stevia instead of artificial sweeteners, and skips the artificial colors and flavors. It's also third-party tested, which is always nice to see.

Would I replace my whey isolate completely? No, but I would switch it up every so often.

For anyone who's vegan, lactose intolerant, or just wants to rotate in a clean plant protein every now and then, this stuff is legitimately solid.

Picked up a tub of Psychopath after seeing all the hype. For reference, I've been lifting for 15+ years and have gone through just about every high-stim pre on the market.

Mixed one scoop in about 10 oz of water and drank it 25 minutes before training back. First thing I noticed was the focus. It wasn't one of those "I'm bouncing off the walls" feelings, it was more like flipping a switch. Once I got under the bar, everything else disappeared.

The beta-alanine tingles kicked in around the 15-minute mark, and by the time I hit my first heavy set, the energy was in full effect. No crazy jitters, just a steady "let's keep going" feeling. I actually ended up adding an extra exercise because I wasn't ready to leave.

Strength felt slightly above normal, but where this really stood out was endurance. Usually by the end of my workout I'm checking the clock. Today I looked down and realized I'd been training for almost two hours without feeling drained.

Overall, I'd definitely buy another tub. If you're already comfortable with stronger pre-workouts and want something that delivers serious focus and long-lasting energy without feeling completely out of control, Psychopath is worth trying. Just don't make your first scoop at 7 PM unless you enjoy staring at the ceiling until 2 in the morning.

Before anyone fires up the comment section to explain why taking every Blackstone Labs prohormone is a terrible life choice, let's establish a few facts.

First, I'm Jeff from Supplement Warehouse. I've been doing this for over 17 years. Second, these weren't all taken in some spectacularly reckless six-month experiment that would make a sports physician faint. This happened over the course of more than a decade.

A decade.

That's roughly 3,650 days of supplement industry experience, product testing, gym sessions, and questionable decisions that somehow seemed perfectly reasonable at the time.

So yes, I've run a lot of Blackstone Labs prohormones. All of them. But not simultaneously, not back-to-back, and definitely not in a way that would qualify me for a documentary on poor judgment.

With that disclaimer out of the way, let's finally review the entire Blackstone Labs prohormone lineup.

Blackstone Labs Chosen-1
Goal: Cutting
Main Ingredient: 1-Andro
Cycle Length: 8 Weeks
Stack With: Superstrol-7

This is one Blackstone Labs prohormone that I have taken quite a few times. 1-Andro in general is just an amazing prohormone for cutting and building extremely lean muscle mass. It can easily be stacked with other prohormones, cutters or mass builders. This is also one compound I have never ran into negative side effects with, making it a great beginner prohormone if you are just starting out.

I know that some users don't like that it is less dosed than the Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals 1-Testosterone, and while I can't recommend it, I personally have just increased the dose to 3-4 tablets per day, and while it costs more money for more bottles, it worked so much better for me.

Blackstone Labs Brutal 4ce
Goal: Mass & Strength
Main Ingredient: 4-Andro
Cycle Length: 8 Weeks
Stack With: Abnormal

I love 4-Andro, especially in the fall when I am looking to put on size and strength. Now I have personally only taken Brutal 4ce once in the last five years. Why? Well, I feel that the dosage isn't as high as Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals Sustanon 250. While it is good that it is a blend, Sustanon 250 is higher dosed and I normally take 2x per day, which would mean I would need close to 5 tablets of Brutal 4ce to match it.

So, why would anyone take Brutal 4ce then? Well, 4-andros can come with side effects. Water retention, gyno, estrogen puffiness, acne etc. That is why if you are a beginner or are prone to any of these types of side effects, it's better to stick with this dose of 4-Andro. And if you do run into any issues, I recommend having a bottle of Blackstone Labs Eradicate on hand. Don't take it unless you need it. No need to crash your estrogen for no reason.

Blackstone Labs Abnormal
Goal: Lean Mass & Strength
Main Ingredient: 19Nor Andro
Cycle Length: 8 Weeks
Stack With: Brutal 4ce, Chosen 1 or Metha-Quad

This is one I almost always stack with other Blackstone Labs prohormones. I don't believe I have ever taken this one alone. I know that some users are concerned about the libido issues with 19Nor. That almost only happens if you take a high dose (like from Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals Deca-Durabolin) and you don't stack it with a test base like Brutal 4ce. But with this one, it is lower dosed, so you can really stack it with any prohormone and you shouldn't run into any issues.

Add it to a 4-andro for extra dry size. Stack it with a 1-andro to stay lean, but add some extra size to your frame. It doesn't aromatize to estrogen, so you don't have to worry about any of those estrogen related side effects.

I love stacking it. Always do. I just wouldn't take it alone. You won't see the results you want.

Blackstone Labs Superstrol-7
Goal: Cutting
Main Ingredient: Epi-Andro
Cycle Length: 8 Weeks
Stack With: Chosen 1

I love epi-andro prohormones. They really help me get very cut, especially stacked with something like Chosen 1 from Blackstone Labs. I personally have never taken epi-andro alone. I have only stacked it. It can be taken with something like Brutal 4ce as well, if you want to stay a little drier than normal, but most customers stack it with a 1-andro for some amazing lean muscle mass and cutting.

The only side effect I have ever noticed with epi-andros is sore joints. This is due to the drying characteristic of it. It's not terrible though, and the results I see with it are worth the slight pain I get. So if you plan on taking any sort of 1-Andro, definitely add this to the stack. You'll thank me later.

Blackstone Labs Metha-Quad
Goal: Mass & Strength
Main Ingredients: Androsterone, 1-Andro & 4-Andro
Stack With: Superstrol-7 and/or Abnormal

This is the grand daddy of the Blackstone Labs brand. This is a 4-in-one prohormone and a powerful one. I only recommend it for advanced users. I ran this one cycle with Superstrol-7 and Abnormal, and I gained about 10lbs of muscle in the 8 week cycle.

Now this prohormone is not for beginners. I would only use this if you have ran a few cycles in the past. This is because not only does it have three different compounds, but it also has arimistane. I am torn on that ingredient. While it can protect you from estrogen side effects, especially with the 4-andro, I don't like crashing your estrogen for no reason.

But if you are looking to gain a lot of mass and are on a bulking cycle, this is a great prohormone to run. It is one of the few I have ran a few times over the years. Absolutely my favorite prohormone from Blackstone Labs.

Support Supplements

• Eradicate - One of the best estrogen blockers on the market. Really only needed on cycle if you run into any estrogen related side effects. Specifically important for any 4-andros.
• PCT V - Neccessary product for any cycle. This is a post cycle therapy supplement that should be taken for 30 days after any 8-week or longer cycle. Only one bottle is needed. Helps your body get back to "normal" levels and to "keep your gains" which we all want.
• Gear Support - For those that are concerned about their libido, liver and other vital organs, Gear Support can be taken during your entire cycle.
