Is it better to keep Shanxi from breaking away for as long as possible or to let them break free and annex them?

I hate map related subreddits (The content not the people)

It’s the same recycled jokes with a political stuffing. Yet constantly the content is just orientalist slop. “These countries are racist posts” half the time just translate to European/North American cope that completely ignores anything in favor of a victim complex. Legitimately, what’s the point. And why is it always a hub for racists?

Half the posts in those subs are generic copies of the same jokes with a new layer of faceprint. Ok sometimes it’s funny. One of them I’m talking about is.

r/whereidlive ’s whole point gets subverted when more than half the posts with any engagement aren’t even “where I’d live”. The ones that actually are, get hate for selecting x country or not y country.

Genuinely what is it about maps that encourages this type of content.

Yes this may be completely anecdotal but I don’t care.
