FA Cup Final day! Also, these award nominees are proper chaotic... am I the only one who thinks Raya and O’Reilly should sweep?

Wembley day. ibr I’m bricking it.... we’ve lost the last two FA Cup finals, so we need to set the record straight today.

But can we talk about the Chelsea and Utd situation? Chelsea have been in the mud for most of the season, while United have managed to claw their way back to 3rd under Carrick. But if Chelsea win today, they’ve got a major trophy and United have nothing. Does a trophy in a disaster season trump a top 3 finish with no silverware? Personally, I think Chelsea fans would take the trophy and run.

Also, about the award nominees...

Player of the Season: I know Haaland is Haaland, but David Raya has been a joke this year. 18 clean sheets and a 3rd straight Golden Glove? It’s about time a keeper actually won the main award.

Young Player of the Season: Obviously I’m a City fan, but Nico O’Reilly is clear. He’s already won Academy Graduate of the Year and his shift at left back/midfield has been world class for a 21 years old.

Manager of the Season: Pep and Arteta are the obvious ones, but Keith Andrews or Regis Le Bris deserve it more for where they’ve taken those squads.

Or what is your verdict?

How is no one talking about the fact that a Brentford striker is actually pushing Haaland for the Golden Boot?

I know we’re all obsessed with the title race and whether Salah is really off at the end of the season, but I was looking at the stats and his videos this morning and I’m actually stunned.

Igor Thiago has 22 goals for Brentford this season. He’s literally 2nd in the league and only 4 goals behind Erling Haaland with a few games to go.

As a City fan, I usually only have eyes for Erling’s numbers, but Thiago’s stats are proper clinical. 22 goals in a debut season for a team in 8th is mental. He’s bagged more than Bruno Fernandes, Szoboszlai, or any of the big name attackers people hype up every week.

Is he the signing of the season that just isn't getting the PR because he's not at a Big 6 club? ibr if he was doing this at United or Chelsea, the media would be calling him the new R9.

Or is he just a one season wonder or are Brentford about to get a £100m bid for him in the summer?

Just finished The Sheep Detectives and ibr... the ending change is a proper joke, isn't it?

Finally sat down to watch The Sheep Detectives last night because I needed a break from the football, and I’ve got some serious thoughts.

First off, Hugh Jackman as George was class (even if he spends most of the film dead), and Chris O'Dowd as Mopple the sheep basically stole every scene he was in. The whole condition where he can't forget anything actually had me a bit choked up. Also, the town of Denbrook being obsessed with Return to Oz was the kind of weird, quirky British humor I live for.

But we have to talk about that ending.

I’ve seen a few people saying it was a heartwarming conclusion, but as someone who’s read the book, I think they proper bottled it. In the book, the shepherd’s death is a suicide...., now by turning it into a murder mystery just so the sheep can be detectives, it felt like a bit of a cop out.

Wait... am I being too much of a tactical nerd about this, or did the murder reveal feel a bit cheap compared to what it could have been? I know the CGI sheep were next level, but no amount of fancy tech makes up for a weak script change.

Is it a modern classic like the reviews say, or just a campy whodunnit that did the source material dirty?
