My (30 F) new boyfriend ( 27 m) doesnt come during sex
I (30 F) have been seeing a guy (27 M) for \~7 weeks, we recently started having sex, the first time lasted about 2 hours, which is extremely long for me, and kinda scared me 🥲 the second time was for an extended period of time too. Both times he did not finish. I addressed it with him after the second time (specifically the duration and him not finishing) more so out of curiosity than anything else, I can't remember the details of the conversation but we had sex after and it lasted a normal amount of time and he did finish, so in my mind I thought that was the end of it. Hoooooooowever, we've had sex more since then and it's back to long sessions with him not finishing, so I'm a bit worried.
He's been really sweet and reassuring and he said he doesn't want me to get in my head about it but I can tell if it carries on like this, I absolutely will (shit I'm already posting on reddit about it 😅). We have spoken about it again here's everything he's told me:
\\- it happens sometimes but not on a regular basis (this worries me the most as we have had sex about 8 times now and he has only finished once)
\\- he really enjoys having sex with me, and goes for ages because he doesnt want it to stop
\\- finishing isn't super important to him because it feels really good regardless
\\- he doesn't want to get in his head about it during sex and focus on finishing and become desperate trying to get there, he enjoys it anyway
In terms of porn habits and masturbation, I'm sure a lot of comments are gonna mention this, in all honesty I don't know, I don't want him to feel like I'm prying or trying to diagnose him, so I haven't asked him about those things. From what I've (enjoyed) observing, he doesn’t seem to have a death grip and there are times where he seems to get close during sex but can't seem to cross the finish line.
I've not experienced this before so I'm a bit out of my depth but I thought maybe the next time we're together we spend more time exploring what he likes etc as the focus is normally on me.
Sorry this is so long but I'd like to know:
Does anyone have experience with this and how do you maintain your relationship if so? Other than mental health, meds, porn or death grip, are there other reasons this could be happening? What could I do as a partner to help?
