hear me out. i know i'm gonna get downvoted to hell for this, but hear me the fuck out. i unironically love the part 2 ending, and i don't care who knows it.

but think about it. TF (you know this absolute gremlin consumes media 24/7) knows that all the GOATed stories come in trilogies. to cement csm up there with star wars for all eternity, he has to drop a part 3. it’s law.

and look, there's literally rumors that the exact ending to part 2 was leaked/discussed by some random anon on this very subreddit years ago. which means? 'he is watching'. he is actively prowling r/chainsawman right now. either stealing our brainrot theories or straightup posting his own unhinged ideas disguised as a shitpost to test the waters. i mean, this is the exact same guy who faked being his own little sister on twitter for months. the man has loose screws. it is 100% in character.

anyway, that brings me to my crackpot theory for how part 3 starts. put the fries in the bag and listen:

remember how anticlimactic Makima dying felt at the end of part 1? like yeah, power's blood blah blah, but it always felt a bit too easy, right?

what if... she didn't actually die?

what if, right before she went down, she slipped a chain or a psychic tentacle straight into denji's brain? meaning the entirety of part 2, every single panel, has just been a massive, hyper detailed mind fuck simulation inside denji's head.

why? because makima realized manipulating normal relationships and killing people off one by one wasn't enough to break him. denji's willpower is too damn stubborn. she needed to target the core: she needed to get pochita to voluntarily give up on denji and leave him for good.

so she locks his physical body away and throws him into this custom, gaslighting matrix simulation where she can bend reality even harder. she runs him through the absolute ringer, situationships, found family trauma, getting dismembered, public humiliation, all of it just to break his spirit so completely that pochita gets disgusted or hopeless enough to sever the contract.

and the grand finale of the simulation? pochita finally gives up, eats himself inside the dream to escape, making him vulnerable for one second so real world makima can finally take total control of the chainsaw devil.

once she dominates pochita, she uses his bullshit reality cutting powers to rip the barrier between earth and hell wide open. earth becomes hell. and then the actual horsemen death, famine, war in their terrifying, primordial, nonhuman eldritch forms step out and bow down to human form makima.

and then? denji finally wakes up.

he snaps out of the simulation just in time to see this absolute apocalyptic hellscape, completely hooked up to a matrix style umbilical cord chaining him to makima's throne.

anyway, thoughts? or do i just have afew screws loose like TF?
