A hot take about Cristina and Owen: I don't know what Cristina expected with Owen after her abortion
So before I get shouted down to hell. Don't get me wrong, Owen is the fucking worst, he's a stubborn manipulative cheating assclown who doesn't deserve Cristina or like 99% of the woman he ended up with.
With that being said, I'm doing a rewatch and getting to the part where Owen and Cristina are fighting about Cristina having an abortion and Owen wanting kids. And usually I just take Cristina's side and ignore Owen's becuase Owen sucks. But on this rewatch, I notice that after Owen states how much he wants kids and is basically begging Cristina to just suck it up for him and then they have a huge fight and aren't talking, Cristina asks Owen if he still loves her and wants to be with her and is sad and distraught because she thinks that Owen doesn't want to be with her anymore.
But my thing is, like what did you expect Cristina? Like you have every right to want to be child free and not want kids and exercise your right to choose. But like did she think Owen would just suck it up and say you're right even though I do want kids, since you don't I'll deal with it? Cristina agonized over what kids would do to her but did not think what not having kids would do to Owen? It just seemed selfish for her to think that her not wanting kids wouldn't affect him to the degree of wrecking their relationship. Idk I don't really see Owen's side of the fight discussed much and just wanted to put my two cents in. Regardless fuck Owen, me and my homies all hate the dude.
