Looking for Commission-Based Agents / Brokers for Industrial Minerals & Natural Stones

Hi everyone,

We are an India-based supplier/exporter working with industrial minerals and natural stones and are looking to connect with independent commission-based sales agents, brokers, and trade representatives who have established buyer networks in international markets.

Products include:

• Bentonite and other industrial minerals

• Natural stones, marble, granite, sandstone, Kota stone, etc.

We are particularly interested in people who already have contacts with importers, distributors, construction companies, stone buyers, or industrial raw-material buyers.

How it works:

- You bring a genuine buyer/enquiry.

- We handle quotation, specifications, samples, supply and export coordination.

- Commission is paid on a successfully confirmed deal, with the commission terms agreed beforehand.

- No upfront payment or fixed employment involved — this is purely commission-based.

If you already work with buyers in these sectors and are interested, feel free to DM me with your country/market, the type of buyers you work with, and the products you usually deal in.

Serious trade professionals and established agents preferred.

What actually makes you trust a new overseas supplier?

For people involved in international trade, procurement or importing:

When you're considering a supplier you've never worked with before, what is the one thing that gives you enough confidence to move forward?

Is it:

Product samples and COA/specifications?

Factory/company verification?

Third-party inspection?

Previous export experience?

References from existing buyers?

Communication and responsiveness?

Competitive pricing?

Something else?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who regularly source internationally.

What has made you say “yes, let's try this supplier” — and what has made you reject one?

ICEGATE Bank Verification Error – "Validation failed due to Invalid IEC code" while adding bank account

Hi everyone,

I'm facing an issue on the ICEGATE 2.0 portal while adding my bank account.

When I click "Verify Bank", I get the error:

Validation failed due to Invalid IEC code

I've already verified the following:

✅ IEC is old and active (not newly issued).

✅ ICEGATE account is already created successfully.

✅ IEC, PAN and name match exactly with DGFT records.

✅ AD Code has already been issued and registered by HDFC Bank.

✅ Bank account belongs to the IEC holder.

Still, the portal throws the "Invalid IEC code" error before bank verification.

Has anyone experienced this recently?

Is this a known ICEGATE 2.0 bug?

Does any Customs officer or ICEGATE helpdesk need to activate something from the backend?

Did anyone get this resolved? If yes, what was the solution?

I've already emailed the ICEGATE helpdesk but haven't received a resolution yet.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Planning a 5-day Goa trip around 17th July – Need recommendations!

Hi everyone!

Me and my friend (2 guys) are planning a 5-day trip to Goa around 17th July. We just want to take a break from work, relax, explore, party, and make the most of the trip.

We know it's monsoon season, so we'd love some advice from locals and frequent visitors.

We'd really appreciate recommendations for:

Best beaches during monsoon

Clubs and nightlife that are worth visiting

Beach clubs, cafés and restaurants

Good spa/massage places

Scenic spots, waterfalls and hidden gems

Adventure activities (if any are open)

Best area to stay (North, South or split the stay?)

Any places or scams we should avoid

We don't mind rain—we just want to have the best possible Goa experience.

Thanks in advance! 🍻🌴

I'm curious about the current state of the industrial minerals trade globally.

I'm based in Rajasthan, India, which is one of the country's major mineral-producing regions. Over the last few years, I've seen plenty of manufacturers and traders producing everything from bentonite and barite to silica, feldspar, talc, and other industrial minerals.

What I'm trying to understand is where buyers and suppliers are finding each other today.

For those involved in sourcing raw materials internationally:

- Are you still finding suppliers through trade fairs and referrals?

- Has LinkedIn become a serious sourcing channel?

- Do sourcing agents still play a major role in your region?

- Which countries are currently seeing the strongest demand for industrial minerals?

One thing I've noticed is that there seems to be no shortage of suppliers, but finding genuine buyers and building long-term relationships remains challenging.

I work closely with mineral producers in India (particularly bentonite and related industrial minerals), so I'm interested in hearing perspectives from importers, distributors, manufacturers, and sourcing professionals in different markets.

Would love to hear what's working for you in 2026 and what challenges you're facing in the global minerals trade.

Is anyone else finding it harder to get real export buyers in 2026?

I've been spending a lot of time studying global trade trends, and on paper international trade seems stronger than ever. Electronics, chemicals, machinery, minerals, agricultural products, energy-related materials — billions of dollars are moving across borders every month.

But I'm curious about what's actually happening on the ground.

For exporters, traders, sourcing agents, and importers:

- Which products are seeing the strongest demand right now?

- Which countries are importing the most aggressively?

- What industries are growing faster than expected?

- Where are you finding genuine buyers today?

I'm based in India and involved in the industrial minerals sector, particularly bentonite and related mineral products. What surprises me is that demand appears healthy in industry reports, yet finding serious buyers and closing actual export deals feels much more difficult than people make it sound.

I've tried LinkedIn outreach, direct emails, trade platforms, and networking, but the ratio of inquiries to real business is still pretty low.

So I'm wondering:

- Is this a problem across all export sectors right now?

- Are traders and intermediaries taking over the market?

- Are buyers becoming more cautious?

- Or is everyone facing the same challenge?

I'd love to hear honest experiences from people exporting chemicals, minerals, metals, agricultural products, manufacturing goods, or any other B2B products.

What's working for you in 2026?

And if you're an importer, what makes you actually respond to a new supplier?

Genuinely interested in learning from people who are actively doing business rather than reading another market report.

Anyone here earning commissions by connecting international buyers and suppliers?

I've come across people who make a living by connecting importers with manufacturers and exporters, especially in industries like minerals, construction materials, agriculture, and industrial products.

For those doing it:

How did you get started?

How do you find reliable suppliers?

What commission structure is common?

Is it still a good business in 2026?

Interested in hearing real experiences from people working in this space.

26M, After months of paperwork and learning, I finally started my own mineral export business from Rajasthan, India

After months of learning, paperwork, and plenty of mistakes, I finally started building my own mineral export business.

My company, ULETUS, is based in Rajasthan, India, and we supply:

• Bentonite Powder

• Bentonite Lumps

• Cat Litter Grade Bentonite

• Drilling Grade Bentonite

• Foundry Grade Bentonite

• Other industrial minerals

I come from a business background, but exporting is a completely different world.

Over the last year I have:

• Obtained IEC registration

• Joined export promotion activities

• Built my own website

• Created product catalogues

• Started connecting with overseas buyers

• Learned more about logistics, HS codes, documentation, and international payments than I ever expected

I'm still in the early stages and figuring things out every day.

I wanted to ask this community:

  1. If you're an exporter, what was the hardest part of getting your first international customer?

  2. What mistakes should a new mineral exporter avoid?

  3. If you import industrial minerals, what do you look for when evaluating a new supplier?

Not here to sell anything. Just trying to learn from people who have already walked this path.

Thanks for reading.
