Planning to take on a Franchise business what are my chances?
The short version without too many details is:
Bought into a franchise based on the profit and loss they provided. This was grossly misleading and many items were withheld by being paid out of different accounts to make this one seem profitable. I was lucky enough to get out before it completely bankrupted me but it came very close. They also sold it with heavily outdated equipment posed as in good working order.
I am currently gathering evidence to take to a lawyer. What kind of things do they need and what sort of laws did this franchise break?
Do I have a leg to stand of since I signed their contracts and disclosure statements even though they still lied on the PnL?
Any tips would be hugely appreciated
