How late is too late for the Wednesday Farmers Market?

I’ve never gone to the Wednesday Farmers Market, but have heard the tales of how amazing it is for people in general, but especially chef’s and those with a culinary background.

I was thinking of going today but unfortunately I’d never be able to make it until about 11:30-Noon due to work on Wednesdays and I’d hate to make the trip down there and most vendors are sold out of their prized ingredients.

Has anyone gone around multiple times and noticed there being a bid difference in ingredients available?

Thank you!

Topanga Mall Swatch Update

There is an “unofficial” line of 120 people outside currently on the sidewalk. Swatch employees and mall security seem like they got intimated by the amount of potential risk this is imposing and are apparently honoring this despite saying they would allow people to line up at 9pm this evening on mall property.

The employees did reiterate multiple times they have nothing to do with that line and it is unofficial however.

If you’re planning on going based on the previous guidelines, know you will have to deal with people who have been sitting outside since this morning ready to contest you.

[homemade] Yellowtail crudo

- Yellowtail loin (cleaned of the bloodline)
- Coconut cream blended with ginger/habanero/lime juice and fish sauce
- Pineapple segments
- Red onion
- Mint, lime zest and maldon salt for garnish

Pictures are a little blurry because of my camera lens but oh well.

First attempt at any bread and went with Shokupan

Pretty happy with how it came out, but open to some tips anybody can see anything from the shape or crumb worth noting. (This was an eggless recipe)

Going to be making some fruit sando’s and katsu sando’s with the results ☺️

Some first of the season snap peas and shishitos I also had around.

Blistered in a pizza oven with some oil and salt.

They were tossed with some mint, lemon oil and honey the set on a nice dollop of labne I whipped with homemade yuzu kosho and yuzu juice.
