For all the girlies of the sub.

A little appreciation post for all the girlies of the sub. 🌺

Sometimes the smallest, sweetest gestures remind you that you’re loved and thought of. Crochet flowers, little surprises, girl talk, random acts of kindness, showing empathy, we all deserve it. May we all receive kindness and love.

Am I overreacting to this?

I met a friend yesterday and we were having a genuinely nice time, talking, having chai, laughing and then we went to have ice cream and as I was eating the ice cream he noticed the hair on my hand ( three strands of hair on my thumb) and he said, what is this ( in a disgusted tone) and then he kept commenting on my hands, saying things like kaise haath hain tere, tu dhyaan nahi rakhti and aise haath toh mere naani ke hain.

He just kept on going about it and laughing, even though I was looking uncomfortable and tried to divert the topic but he didn’t stop I could see he was actually repulsed rather than a simple teasing.

He did apologise later but I can’t seem to shake it off how I felt after that. Even if I meet him now I’ll always be conscious of my hands and body hair. ( mind you he knows that I have pcos and I struggle with a lot of other things) .

P.S. - I’ve always been conscious about my body and when it happened yesterday all I could do is feel terrible about myself.
I did take a stand and messaged him later.

Kaafi rona aaya aaj!

After a long time I cried and cried. Like there was this sinking feeling. Nothing makes sense tbh. The weird part is I love walking and I went for a walk thinking I’d feel better but while walking also I was crying and heart felt heavy and it actually hurt.

Wore different jhumkas to the workplace.

Wore these to workplace feeling all cute and later realised one feels heavier than the other. Either no one noticed or they were too polite to point out. 😃

Thailand vacation!

Went to Thailand this feb! It was a ten days trip. Delhi to Bangkok, Bangkok to phuket and phuket to Delhi.
Total cost - 1,30,000 ( including everything)
Accommodation- Airbnb in Bangkok ( it was cheap compared to hotels ) and hotel in phuket

The airport authority in India were strict about the mandatory cash rule and they even didn’t allow some passengers who were carrying cards. I carried 20k baht in cash.

Thailand is expensive when it comes to food so I carried some ready to eat food packets from India ( as I am a vegetarian) and mostly ate at Indian restaurants which again are on the expensive side. Also book the island tour after reaching and bargain. They offer better deals than online.

Mostly travelled by taxis. Downloaded grab and Indrive and bolt apps from India only. Always compare the price and then book.

The immigration in Thailand was super smooth unlike in India.

Fun fact- during my entire vacation didn’t hear a single honking sound. Vehicles stayed in their lanes . I was impressed by this the most. People were friendly and always smiling.

P.S. it was a solo trip. For all those wondering photos were taken by other travellers. Like I said people are nice. Not everyone is a thief or a scammer.

People throwing trash on road!

What’s your approach when you see people throwing trash on the roads or out of their cars? It’s even more frustrating when the so called educated crowd does it. The other day, I saw college students throwing takeaway coffee cups from their two wheelers on the road.

How do you all usually react to this?

Did manali to Leh solo in 2019. One of the best experiences of my life.

Started from Manali and reached Leh in 11 days.
Delhi to Manali - Volvo
Stayed on the way in local shacks and hotels.
Met three cyclists from Thailand.
After reaching Leh stayed in a hostel called happy drifters.
Total expenditure was around 50k ( went to turtuk and pangong also by local transport)
