Hello All,

I am having my first kid during the program. I have completed 4 courses so far (6501, Reg, DACI, CSE6040). I was able to get out of MGT 8803. I am worried about not being able to complete the program. I am thinking about just staying in B track and doing Sim before my child is born and then just doing B-track electives and getting out as easily as possible. I am likely going to aim for management positions in the future rather than technical roles anyways.

Is this a solid plan?

I am replaying the Far Cry series, and I think that the Jackal (Jack Carver) calling in his own hit against himself makes sense:

1. Jack Carver assumes the identity of Harlan Doyle after his death in Far Cry Instincts
2. Jack Carver becomes the Jackal and aims to end the conflict in Bowa-Seko/Leboa-Sako by arming the UFLL and APR.
3. Jack Carver discovers that he has a brain tumor and has limited time to live (this might happen before #2)
4. Using Doyle's CIA credentials, Jack orders a hit on himself, knowing the CIA would send a mercenary that would be strong enough to finish what he started.
5. Jack secretly infects the mercenary with a micro dose of the mutagen that has similar side effects to malaria. Perhaps from the taxi driver infecting him.

My reasoning for this is that if the mercenary has malaria, being physically capable of destroying the UFLL and APR would be unlikely. Malaria pills stop/kill growth of parasites and could perhaps work on a lower dosed mutagen. Malaria takes at least 7 days to give symptoms. Your character just arrived.

6. Jack meets the mercenary in Pala, sparing him and starting the chain reaction that will destroy both the UFLL and APR.

I think this explains how Jack Carver was able to find the main character for Far Cry 2 and why he spared him. So the main character of Far Cry 2 was dealing with a weakened variant of the mutagen from the other games. That is why he is still capable of taking down both the APR and UFLL.
