It’s crazy to me that Jim Cummings hasn’t been named a Disney legend yet!

He’s been pretty active on social media re-gramming people who are questioning Disney on this oversight and, honestly, good on him. With all he’s done on the Disney-verse, isn’t there something I’m missing that would be the reason for him not being honored yet?

Realistic value?

Trying to figure out what I could price these cards at if I wanted to sell today. Would holding be a better option?

For those who have had successful pregnancies after losses, when did you allow yourself to be excited?

For context, my wife and I had a fairly traumatic loss earlier this year (no heartbeat at 11w; genetic abnormality) and are currently pregnant at 12w5d. After some wonky hcg levels early on everything has been proceeding as we’d expect: scans look good; NIPT came back clean and we’re treating that as a major milestone after what happened earlier this year. We know the odds favor everything working out but we’re continuing to stay guarded.

If anyone has been in the same boat, I’d love to hear your experience and take any advice you have. TIA!

Always keep a glimmer of hope!

My wife and I went in for our first ultrasound yesterday at 6w4d (after having some early betas that were slow rising) fully expecting to get some bad news (ectopic or blighted ovum) but staying hopeful that maybe we’d get lucky this time around considering her more recent hcgs were rising normally. To our surprise, we saw a little baby in there with a strong heartbeat measuring where it’s supposed to be!

Obviously we still have a long way to go but are much more encouraged than we were and our doctor has no concerns at this point. We’re all staying cautiously optimistic!

I’m posting this update to give others who might be in the same position some hope. Everyone is different and some of these really early betas might not give an accurate picture of what’s going on.

I’ll provide additional updates (good or bad) as they come!

Wife’s HCG started rising slowly initially and today jumped up to nearly 1700. While we wait to hear from her OB and have another beta scheduled in 2 days, I wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience of a slow rising HCG ending up with a viable pregnancy. We’re keeping ourselves guarded in case things don’t work out but also keeping a glimmer of hope. TIA! Here’s the betabase data:
