There are vets in my area who are listed on the USDA website but they no longer do International Health Certificates. They say their colleagues do, but their colleagues are not on the USDA website. So, my question is: are all USDA-registered vets on the website? Or do some not appear?
Another question: it doesn't matter if I choose a Category I vet or a Category II, correct? I'm moving to FR with a small 10 lb dog.

Nous visitons un appartement en vue d’un achat et souhaitons faire une offre. Cependant, il y a environ deux ans, l’immeuble (en pierre, datant du XVIIIe siècle) a subi une énorme fuite au niveau du toit (dont les traces sont encore visibles en haut de l’escalier). Même si l'appartement se trouve au deuxième étage sur quatre, il n'a donc pas été directement touché. Serait-il absurde de demander une expertise à un spécialiste ? Si nous faisions appel à un spécialiste, à quel type d'artisan devrions-nous nous adresser ? Un expert en isolation qui détecte également l'humidité ?

The USDA website and my vet's office website do not specify whether the USDA-endorsed health certificate issued prior to flight departure needs to be endorsed 10 BUSINESS days prior or 10 CALENDAR days. Can anyone help clarify? What was your experience/timeline? We leave Tuesday at 6 am. Should I list my departure date the day before to assure I get it on time?

Does anyone know if the IT Consulate in Paris returns civil status documents back to applicants? They request originals.
If the Consulate keeps this 1 original precious copy, would another option be hiring a lawyer to facilitate the transcription at the comune? Any guesses on how much this would cost? Documents are ready to go: originals, have an apostille, and have been officially translated as well.

Let me first state: I am all for people surviving and doing what they can to get out of the heat.
Anyone else seeing this trend in their region of FR? People with no clima in their appart so they are in their cars for long period of time with the engine running.
Sitting in your car with the AC blasting and scrolling on your phones is not a great option and only a short-term fix to getting your body temp down.
Please go to a cooling center. Go to a park. Hydrate with a cold beverage.

We recently ate lunch at a brasserie a couple of days in a row in Paris. It was good food and they did croque madame just how I like it!
On both days, the same waitress tended to us and we spoke French with her. (She was not French but was clearly fluent.) After we finished our meals, she said something that sounded like "C'est espace?" I'm assuming this saying used a conjugation of "plaisir" and I'm assuming she was asking if I liked my meal. However, it would help if I saw the phrase to help me understand exactly what she was saying.

This year is the first year I have filed my FR taxes online and by myself, having contracted accountants the last seven years. So, I want to know more about how the process works: I have yet to see Form 2047 and the double-taxation rules applied when I get to the summary section of the tax screen. The form appears on the screen, but it still shows the amount I owe the FR government on the same income from UK/US sources. Is this total reviewed by a human and adjusted after I submit my online declaration? Or is the process automated? (Not to worry; already planning on waiting in line at my local tax center on Monday with more questions.) Thanks!
