Been ongoing for months. Any chance it can be resolved? Makes it difficult to use.

Does Bose offer a battery replacement service for Soundlink Max

Before I buy one of these now they're currently on offer for £299, can someone let me know if Bose offer a paid battery replacement service once the warranty expires? It seems a lot of money to be paying if, once the battery health drops, there is no way of replacing it.

Bose Soundlink Max officially refurbished

I can't quite justify £400 for a Bluetooth speaker, even one that seems as good as the Soundlink Max. However, Bose are selling officially refurbished units for £260, whilst claiming they're as good as new. I'm sure visually they will be pristine, but my primary concern would be battery health given that they're not user replaceable unlike some alternatives.

Does anyone have experience of these refurbished units and what to expect before I make the choice?

2TB SSD Upgrade

I've never liked the etched glass and what it does to clarity and colour, so I bought this originally as a 512GB OLED for £400 before upgrading it to a 1TB Crucial SSD. Was always teetering on the edge of using all the storage though, so bought a 2TB Lexar Play yesterday for £190 and a couple of hours of Clonezilla later I'm now on 2TB and my son gets the 1TB to upgrade his LCD from 256GB.

The recent price increases made me appreciate this thing all the more and made me bite the bullet on the additional storage. Steam Decks have their issues when it comes to some games, but the OLEDs are still the best handhelds for me when everything is taken into account. Less so now with the price increases.

Who else has upgraded to a 2TB and what did you pay?

Folding

I really like Niagara but the only real downside is that support for folding devices is half arsed, which has been an issue for me since I moved to a Fold 7 last year. It's neither bad or particularly good. I'd like dedicated pages for the outer and inner screen but instead you simply get the same apps split into two columns when you open the device and use the inner screen. This is limiting for me and a waste of the additional screen estate given that I limit the number of apps on the outer screen so it fits without having to scroll, but as a result this leaves a large space on the inner screen when opened which can support more icons. The only way of fully using the inner screen is to have a handful of apps not visible on the outer display without scrolling up.

I asked about this previously and I was told by the dev they'd look into it but that was months back and nothing has changed. It's a shame because, without this, I can't justify the renewal when my subscription is up and I imagine it would be a quick development and a fair few other launchers have incorporated this change (Smart Launcher, Total Launcher etc). Folding devices are now also becoming more and more popular so it is in the developer's interests I'd imagine.

Cheers for listening.

I love Home Up, but ever since I started using it, the ability to read a notification through a long press on an icon with a notification flag doesn't work when DIY mode is enabled. I've reported it as a bug months back as I'm sure many other have.
