Fellow Thing Mains, I request advice...

Hello, I am a Groot main spreading my roster out farther, and wanted to come here in my travels to see if there are any tips for learning The Thing. Brawling, while definitely fun, I am not as good with, and so here are some of the things I do know:

I have Hold to Sprint on, so I can tap to slam my arms down.I can jump right before slamming my arms down to reduce the knock up so enemies are easier to hit. I can avoid CC using his sprint. I can charge a Haymaker, and jump to an enemy before it's released so it hits them with the damage vulnerability. My issue I've seen is one, poke, and 2, how to get in close without dying. I am aware Poke might counter Thing, yet for closing distance, I still am learning. With Groot I play cover, with Thing I feel I'm just out of range when playing cover. I haven't gotten to use the Hulk Team-Up yet.

Also sesperate question:

If any of you also play hulk, is there any aiming difference when throwing Wolverine from Hulk to The Thing? Just wanted to know because aside from Hulk Leaping before releasing a Throw, I don't think there is? Could be wrong but thought I'd ask.

Nonetheless, thank you for your time reading this, Incase it helps I play on PC.

Devil Dinosaur Impact

In prior seasons, I have played Groot, Doctor Strange, and Magento. As many of us tank mains know, we understand the pressure and feel of solo tanking, or at least understand what it feels like to have all of the attention on you. With that, while playing Devil Dinosaur, it felt nearly identical to what I'm used to, everyone focusing on Devil Dinosaur. This makes sense, but when I returned to my Groot, and another Devil Dinosaur was playing, I felt so free. I could borderline take off angles, I felt fast and nimble, and even as a main tank like Groot, I felt like a DPS. I could kill mindlessly and not have to worry about taking space or anything because everyone shot at Devil Dinosaur. I love playing the big dino, I get insanely high damage blocked numbers, but now all the other tanks feel like off tanks essentially, so it will be rough if one team has Devil Dinosaur and the other team doesn't. Nonetheless this was just a thought, not sure if anyone else noticed it, but thought it's weird when Groot feels fast since I played Devil Dinosaur.
