What cards do you just like to see in cube?

I'm not talking about instant-win snap picks or the biggest bombs in vintage. Just cards that you really like seeing and playing with.

I only started playing around Bloomburrow, and I feel there have been many fun cards from then until now. [Sunspine Lynx] and [[Exalted Sunborn]] especially come to mind.

Mostly, though, there are so many cards in TDM that just feel really good to see in a pack. I love [[Dragon Sniper]], [[Twinmaw Stormbrood]], and [[Voice of Victory]]!

The card that got me interested in MtG was a [[Goblin Grenade]] that my friend showed me, and it just told me everything I needed to know about the game.

In two years I feel I've played about as much as possible when you have kids. But there are many sets I haven't played, and many cards I have not seen. So I'm curious: which are your favorites?

[TOMT][Cartoon] TV-series featuring a borzoi/afghan hound with a russian accent

If you grew up in Scandinavia in the 90s/00s, you know that we had a LOT of weird, obscure animated series from a whole host of different countries.

I've managed to find a few of the ones I remember from my childhood, but a few still elude me.

This one, for example, where all I remember is that it was a mystery/adventure series with a cast of anthropomorphic animals on two legs, one of which was an elegant, long snouted hound in a fur coat with a russian accent. I believe I remember her saying a line about how she was from St. Petersburg, but that could be a fabrication of time.

I cannot remember if all the characters were dogs, or if they were all different animals.

Counter Intelligence precon – super slow, or user error?

My family and I play commander roughly once per month. Since my brother in law and I are the only ones who actually care about Magic outside of "an excuse to have fun with family", we have enacted a strict rule: only out of the box precons. (This is fine, my BIL and I play plenty outside of those games).

One of the players recently picked up the Counter Intelligence precon, and had a really rough first game. Oh well, that happens, probably a fluke.

However, after three bad games, another player offered to take it for a spin the next time we played. They also had a hard time really getting it online. Then my BIL tried. Same story. The engine only just starts coming online after one player is getting ready to close things out. Two of the games we tried with Kilo instead of Inspirit, but had slightly worse luck.

At this point I figure we either all have a fundamental misunderstanding about the deck, or it is a really slow engine with not enough control to warrant it. Given the average quality of precons the last few years, I am leaning toward us just not understanding it.

So someone please: what are we missing?

Must-play limited sets?

I started playing Magic around Bloomburrow, so I'm still pretty new. Some of my friends have played for many years – some play commander, some play modern, some play pauper, but most of them strongly prefer constructed formats.

Don't get me wrong, I really like some aspects of constructed, but ever since going to my first prerelease, I've really fallen in love with limited. It has also become clear to me, that some sets do it much better than others. I really liked EOE. I really ended up not liking ECL, even though I had high hopes.

So if I were going to go online and buy a booster box of any set, to play either sealed or draft with my friends, what do you think is the quintessential limited experience in Magic?
