Scammers hate this one trick! A quick and easy act to protect sellers from a known scammer

https://preview.redd.it/b73aekpml79h1.png?width=1554&format=png&auto=webp&s=0141d369f65649df55ad8fba78816b5da1b6f265

Block this infamous scammer now!

Load this page and add this buyer - topbuyuk - to your blocked buyers list

Why? It's a business in Walthamstow that uses this account to buy electronics, from innocent casual sellers and then filing claims, shafting the poor seller. They do it on an industrial scale and eBay don't care. They then sell the items on their other account or in their shop.

A quick google search shows how widespread it is and how many posts have been made on reddit about it, and yet it continues

The only thing you can do is block them pro-actively - and let your seller friends know too

The first demonstration of effective tactical voting to block NF - Makerfield by-election

2026 by-election

2024 General Election

Greens have had a resurgence since 2024, but their vote dropped from 1776 to 308. Lib Dems have similarly had their 2010 to 2015 transgressions forgiven solely as they aren't either of the 2 main parties or Reform. Green and Lib Dem supporters knew rather than vote for someone who couldn't win, they could at least block the NF Squad. Restore Britain meanwhile got a considerable chunk - about 7% - all stolen from Reform. Their supporters are less capable of big picture thinking.
This is all against the backdrop of us knowing that Burnham quite likely could become the next PM so it wasn't just about voting in isolation.

More of this in 2029 please and let's banish the turquoise frog forever

the only thing I'm disappointed about is not seeing more Makerfield Wakefield slogans - the possibilities are endless

What's the line/cut-off for personal sellers (multiple items)?

I'm a personal seller pretty much exclusively. 20+ year account, 500+ items sold, over 1000 feedback (lots of buying). My listings (50 currently) are just to clear out unwanted items (although a few are new - it's actually legitimately things I bought and never used, so have decided to jettison, but to eBay it might look like trading if 30% of my items are new). Almost always it's one-off items, but for a couple of items, I found myself with a handful (about 8 each of 2 different items). They sell, then I relist. Sometimes I wait a while.

What I am trying to avoid is eBay turning around and saying I'm a business and moving me from the free selling (BPF model) to the FVF version for businesses?

We're all conditioned to expect a great time upon hearing this sea shanty

Angine de Poitrine have this song playing as they arrive on stage and set up

a traditional song; this version is from 2002. Sounds like a sea shanty to me, although it might not be

Les jours d'la semaine · Les Charbonniers de l'enfer

this live recording shows it well, although the sound quality for the performance isn't ideal

I wasn't particularly taken with this song initially, but it's become a bit of an ear worm. And more strikingly, the juxtaposition of styles

I have a friend coming with me in October who knows NOTHING about the band (I admire his dedication, his mind will be blown when he experiences it live) - he even told me NO SPOILERS when I shared a snap from a couple of weeks ago. I'm going to sing along to this when it plays and proclaim that this is their biggest hit, and to expect a night of thigh slapping tales from sea voyages!

In a parallel universe, Klaus kissed Greta every night in BeanTown, took her behind the middle school and got her pregnant

In a parallel universe, Klaus kissed Greta every night in BeanTown, took her behind the middle school and got her pregnant. They got married, had two more kids and she ended up as a linguistics professor just 4 miles from 30 Rock. Then she started losing her mind, but she won an Oscar for it

Julianne Moore (Nancy) and Alec Baldwin (Jack) starred as a married couple in Still Alice, a 2014 film - around 4 years after her arc in 30 Rock

(I barely know about the actress, then noted she had won an Oscar, and realised who her co-star was!)

We've once again reached the intersection of two classic 30 Rock jokes

first celebrated last year here

Season 4 Episode 2 - "Into the Crevasse"

Liz: What a week, huh?

Jack: Lemon, it's Wednesday

Season 3 Episode 22 - "Kidney Now"

Liz: We sure had quite a year

Jack: What are you talking about, it's May

last year people shared funny ways in which they were going to observe: I'm going to eat in my bed and request a massage from Craiglist
