Hot Take - Casual Dating Is Wrong

(M26) I'll probably get flak for this but...

Casual dating is inappropriate in general. I guarantee the first conflicting opinion will be "it's just a preference, if 2 people agree to keep the relationship non-exclusive then that's their choice" Well I disagree. Dating should always be exclusive because the purpose of a relationship is to be committed to your partner. If you're dating without the intention of looking for a long-term commitment, that's having friends with benefits, not a relationship.

I've only ever been with 1 woman in my adult life (long story short, she was cheating on me) and you could argue I don't have enough relationship experience, but I can say the majority of the people from my highschool got it right. Nearly all of them are happily married to their partners from back then. That's how it should be! Just look at posts from 8+ years ago where most people online actually agreed that when you agree to going on a date with someone, it meant that you would be loyal to that person from that point on, unless you both agreed to just part ways or stay in contact as non-intimate friends.

I don't mind if people have the mindset of "Well I'm just getting to know multiple people to figure out my options" that's perfectly fine, but don't DATE all those people. If you're going around being physically intimate with more than 1 person, then you're just gross.

Society is lust driven now. It seems like nobody actually cares about genuine connection, love, and respect anymore. I sound like I'm super religious or something, but I'm actually not at all. I just personally will not go on a date with someone unless I can see a future with them as a significant other, meaning, I need to be physically and emotionally attracted to that person.

There should be no in-between; either date to find commitment with 1 person at a time, or stay single. If you can't imagine or even want a future with someone, then stop dating because you likely haven't found anyone who you ACTUALLY would want to stay with long-term.

Just wanted to rant about this because I'm so tired of this "modern dating culture" I can't wait to go into boot camp a month from now; where I wont even have time to think about trying to find a partner (despite the fact that a committed relationship is basically all I've ever really wanted in life) because the dating culture is just disgusting at this point.

I'll try to respond to every comment when I can since this is something I'm very passionate about. I believe most people don't take relationships seriously anymore and it's just sad to see.

Fire Deity's Staff is OP

I got it recently and have been using it in face-off and HOLY FUHHH this thing is straight retarded. I'm literally spamming fireballs at modders and it works lmao

This shii needs a nerf, but at the same time, it equalizes fights against ult spamming modders. It works so well it's scary, I feel like the most annoying player in the lobby when I use it lol

Idea To "Remove" Modders

Okay doesn't actually remove them, but... can we just spam the devs to allow players to earn esoteric scrolls from bot matches? That way we can earn scrolls without having to deal with all these damn modders?

Like I would thoroughly love this game if we could have a chance of earn esoteric scrolls from solo bot matches and private matches.

Reporting Is Useless

The modders name is Pit's Doom on Steam, he's using an obvious throwaway account, I'd say report him to bandai, but it's pointless even with video evidence, I even gave them his IP but nope. He's still here 2 weeks later.

I'm seriously about to just advocate for "vigilante modding" meaning, modding only in retaliation to these losers that suck too much a$$ to actually play the game legitimately.

I Think I'm Done

18 out 20 matches tonight I played level 10+ Ice Creams... 3 of which also had level 14 movie shadow at the same time... this shii is unplayable now. I genuinely can't take it anymore, I feel like I'm gonna develop an anger induced ulcer if I keep playing this game if this is all it's going to be now.

The Only Transformation I Want

I heard they might be adding sage mode Naruto for season 10... Keeping my fingers crossed that we get this transformation at some point. It's easily the most badass transformation in the naruto series.

Attraction should not be the priority in relationships.

Wanted to post this in r/dating but apparently it "was not appropriate" ??

You probably won't agree, but I really think way too many people focus on attraction over compatibility. Good morals, emotional compatibility, common interests, and effort are all seen as "just the bare minimum" but nobody wants "the bare minimum"

All people care about anymore is physical attraction and that only leads to promiscuity.

I read a post earlier about a girl who dumped a guy who was (in her words) "seemingly the perfect guy" but she didn't feel the "desire" because she wasn't physically attracted to him so she dumped him... that's the wrong mindset. That is a thought process purely focused on the exterior and it is becoming more and more prevalent in society.

Relationships should never be considered if all you want is short-term gratification. You should either be looking purely for long-term, or not at all. We're human beings capable of higher thinking power, yet the majority of people only care about their sexual desires or materialistic ideals.

It genuinely feels like real love doesn't exist anymore. It's like the only things that matter in life anymore are money, looking good, and self-preservation. Everyone is focused on "Me" and not "us" and every narrative put out there suggests "just focus on yourself and things will get better" tell that to the declining birthrates, the growing loneliness epidemic, the overall decline of society as a whole. People need people, but every single form of media pushes us to believe the opposite.

Sure, people die alone all the time, in fact statistics show that roughly 100 people die per hour depressed and alone, but that obviously isn't a good thing. It's not something we should be trying to accept, it's something we should be trying to fix.

I went a little off topic there, but the point still remains; we should all be looking for life partners, not temporary gratification, and the type of person you ACTUALLY want in your life permanently isn't going to be the hot guy/girl that doesn't care about you. It's going to be the person you enjoy spending time with.

From what I've learned over the years, attraction can change. You could suddenly be attracted to someone you know because you get along so well, but you wont suddenly change how you view the world just because the person you're with is good-looking (unless you were manipulated which is entirely different)

And this doesn't mean you need to set your standards higher necessarily, just don't let attraction or materialistic "wants" be your #1 priority in a relationship, that's really it. Love someone for who they are, not for what they can provide and not because of what they look like.

Rant over. Thanks for reading, feel free to let me know what you think, and if you disagree I'd really like to know why.
