Old German deciphering help needed - Hessian soldier

Old German deciphering help needed - Hessian soldier

Guten Tag !

* Please let me know if I should send this to a different sub *

I am pretty sure that the document is not written in Kurrent but I am hoping some of you could help.

I would like to know what is the comment written in the rightmost column of number 7, Tambour Johannes Schröder.

It looks like: 2 Feb 1775 but the rest is difficult to read, perhaps a German city ?

I am joining a closeup pic of the original document.

Hessian soldier - Johannes Schröder - b. 1749

  • Removed from r/genealogy. Posting here as relevant to Germany *

Hi,

Would anyone want to query in Archion for one of my ancestors who was a Hessian soldier ?

I am considering getting a one month membership to Archion but I feel like I won’t be able to get anything from it as documents are in old German.

Here is the person in question. I am looking to find his baptism record to identify his parents:

(the following information is from a muster roll)

Name: Johannes Schröder

Place of birth: Bieber (most probably Bieber in Biebergrund, near Gelnhausen (Hesse))

Birth year: 1749

Religion: Reformed

Profession: Stocking weaver (Strumpfweber)

3 brothers in 1767

Age of mother in 1767: 49

Erbprinz regiment

Possibly, Archion’s books to search:

Kirchenbuch reformiert 1724-1790

Kirchenbuch 1745-1821

Vielen Dank !

Edited to add the reference document: https://lagis.hessen.de/resolve/de/hetrina/80687
