The screenshots included in the show are verbatim criticisms that Kelli, Judy, and Charlotte have given the women… they included so many “LINES” comments… which is exactly what Kelli and Judy scream at them during practices 😂 *They* set the tone with DCC Making the Team and now America’s Sweethearts. That nasty comment Charlotte made about “how’d that girl even get into finals” or whatever (paraphrasing) with such contempt in her voice exemplifies the dynamic they’ve created for their own team.

Obviously the commentary on their personal lives, relationships, and religions is different and worthy of addressing on the show… but the commentary on social media, modesty, dancing, appearance, weight, intelligence, personality—Kelli, Judy, and Charlotte are responsible for the way fans treat them in that regard. They wanted their shows to get views, they wanted to emphasize the “high stakes” nature of making this team, and they’ve repeatedly showcased themselves being hateful towards these women under the guise of DCC “standards.” The hate the girls receive is a natural consequence of all of that. The fans are following Kelli, Judy, and Charlotte’s lead. I really empathize with how the girls have suffered because of the exposure of the show, but to present this as if it’s just crazy, no-life, neckbeard Reddit freaks being hateful is just reductive. Kelli, Judy, and Charlotte set all of this in motion.
