Ran out of omeprazole and suddenly feel better?

I've been on once daily omeprazole for approx 3 years due to never ending heartburn alongside IBS symptoms.

Usually if I miss a day I'll know about it but long story short I've been working a lot and haven't had time to collect my prescription so I've been without it for almost 2 weeks.

The first few days were hell but somehow I'm now feeling a lot better, including finally managing to shift a few kg that have been impossible to budge for months now.

I feel much hungrier but tbh I don't mind that as I was feeling like metabolism was non existent before - I would almost never feel hungry but I also could not lose weight despite exercise and calorie control. Is this a thing that can be related somehow??

Anyway I'm sure this won't be permanent and I'll be moaning again soon but for now I'm enjoying the surprise success.

App for monitoring driving hours?

Does anyone use anything to keep track of their driving hours other than just writing them down and adding them up? 😅 I do a lot of split shifts and it gets pretty messy trying to keep track sometimes.

Any free apps you recommend?

Midge and tick spray on suggestions?

The queen and I will be doing a 2nd attempt of the West Highland Way in August after A failed 2 days in April. As a lifelong Scottish resident I am very used to midges but unfortunately I'm also allergic to them so will be doing all in my power to avoid being bitten.

Issa is on flea and tick prevention but I'd like some suggestions for anything I can spray on to give another layer of protection.

Any suggestions or personal favourites that you use on your dogs?

Day 1 - campsite suggestions?

Back in April I attempted the West Highland Way but had to quit after two days due to injury 🤕

I've just found out that I'm off for 2 weeks in August so I'm going to go back and try again!

Last time I carried all my kit the whole way but this time I would like to try a baggage transfer service. this means I'll need to stay at campsites rather than wild camp most of the way!

does anyone have any suggestions for campsites along the way for day one - preferably not Drymen Camping as I had a pretty unpleasant stay there last time and would rather avoid!

Dog friendly is must as where I go so does the Poo

Corrour 7 this weekend?

I have a long weekend off work and aiming to head to corrour for the 7 on Friday. I'll be wild camping and taking Friday to Sunday so I can enjoy the trip. Anyone else done this round and have any suggestions? It'll be my first hike where I've not driven there so I need to make sure I'm mentally prepared before I get there and realise I've forgotten to plan something important 😅
