Very strong powers, but not OP

Upper range would be roughly "almost triumvirate level", although I'm not picky. Majorly helping in an endbringer fight is ok, soloing them or killing them without massive sacrifice isn't what I'm looking for, for example.

Anything that fits is good really. Can be OC, altpower, crossovers, or any combination of those

Precog Taylor gets completely blindsided and scared shitless by Alexandria

Remember reading a fic where this happened, but I've been having truble finding it. I think she might've been in Parian's shop at the time of this happening? There was no combat, just Alexandria being intimidating and delivering some ominous message I'm pretty sure.

I clearly Remember her being a precog, but it might've been a full Simurgh powerset.

Can't remember much else sadly, been quite a while since I read it

Boss refights: is there supposed to be a massive difficulty spike between difficulty 2 and 3?

Or am I missing something?

After beating Arlecchino for the first time, I went back and fought him again in the boss refights. Difficulty 1 and 2 were very easy (or as easy as Arlecchino can really be) and I got them both first try. Now however, I'm struggling massively on Difficulty 3.

The difference is night and day hah. I can clear difficulty 2 several times in a row without much trouble, but on 3 I can barely get past 2/3 health in the second phase, and die regularly to the first.

Also, a big contributing factor is the fact that all his fury attacks one-shot me from full health, despite me wearing the heaviest parts I have and the iron wall amulet, with 35 vitality. Is it just mandatory to level health even further, even though I'm getting almost nothing per level at this point?

Bought this game on a whim after hearing that it's good and seeing it was on sale. Just finished it

First: minor spoiler warning. I'm going to mention some stuff beyond the earlygame.

Also, I haven't gotten the dlc yet. Planning on buying it soon.

Overall I really quite liked it. There's plenty of things I thought were great, and I don't really have any major complaints. It doesn't quite live up to something like Elden Ring for me, but the fact that I consider it pretty close says a lot, as ER might be my favourite game of all time.

My favourite part was actually the weapon system. I love customization and buildmaking in games, and being able to construct my own personal weapon really spoke to me. A lot of time was spent by the testing dummies testing all sorts of combos. In the end I even landed on something off-meta that proved to be were both very effective and very fun, which I always love when it happens.

Level design was overall good, although I think some levels dragged on for slightly too long (mostly abbey). Would've been nice with a little more nonlinerity, but I'm not really complaining, I liked the exploration.

Regular enemies were good, but I preferred the puppets over carcasses. The basic carcass enemies were a little bit too common and honestly spammed over the entire latter half of the game, which got a bit old ofter a while. Would've liked to see some more variety there, like what the game already does with elite enemies, which have great variety.

My biggest complaint, which still isn't that big honestly, was the difficulty. Not that it was too difficult, but rather too easy. Granted, I have a LOT of experience with Elden Ring, Bloodborne and some Sekiro, but I was hoping for a bit more things that would genuinely challenge me, than what I ended up getting.

However, I've heard good things about the dlc on this front. Namely that a certain final boss is incredibly difficult. Really looking forward to that, hopefully I can get properly tested.

As for weapons, my favourite by far ended up being clock sword handle + greatsword of fate blade. Fell in love with it as soon as I found it (right after Victor), and used it for the entire rest of the game. Fantastic moveset and good damage, it worked wonders for everything.

Final score: 8.5/10. Great game, I had a lot of fun. Really looking forward to the dlc
