Villain MC (Taylor, Si, or OC) is genuinely terrifying and indimidating instead of being anti heroic or charming

Ones where Taylor becomes popular at school, maybe she peggy-sues and has newfound confidence? Maybe her power helps her out? Anything along those lines, really.

Any fics where all parahumans are magic users, psychics, cultivators, etc.

Of If I remember correctly, a dragon egg appeared in her room and she hatched it and it considers her its captain. She ends up looking for a crew to captain as well.

So I’ve seen a few fics briefly mention building a base, and if got me wondering. Any fics out there with an MC that spends their spare time making their base/home an absolute nightmare to attack? I don’t mean a big obvious fortress, that everyone knows about. Maybe a tinker character subtly reinforces the absolute hell out of their home and traps the shit out of it. Or a shaper/ shaker digs out and fortified a hidden basement or something. In Pale Blood, and Here Comes the New Boss it’s touched on, but barely.

I'm trying to find any fics out there where taylor has powers similar to The Turtle. Basically, rather than super speed, she has the power cause everything in range of her power to move super slow.

To those unfamiliar with DC comics, the Turtle is a Flash Villain who draws his power from the Still Force the comic opposite of the Speed Force.

Something that I’ve always wondered is that what would Everyone in The Boys Universe think of Parahumans if they learned everything about them and who they are? Along with their personalities? Also what would they think of The Heroes and Villains of Worm? Not to mention what would they think of The Power that Parahumans have and what their capabilities are? What do you think? Let me know in the comments okay

I’ve read Nemesis (of course!) and also >!Camera Shy, even though she didn’t take a vial there but was influenced by one lol.!< Anyone have any recs? I’d also take fics where she’s involved with Cauldron in some capacity (i’m due for a reread of El-Ahrairah I think….)

Searching for fics with a happy and confident taylor that still focus on caping. For an example is the fic "A little help".

So it does sound grim, and it is, but basically Alexandria orders incentives for people to move to Brockton Bay because op!Taylor has a aura that causes people to kill themselves/die in general. I'm pretty sure in the story they call it something like call of the void, but not certain.

But this is not the main power, only a side effect, and Alexandria orders the incentives to stop Taylor from leaving the Bay for somewhere else.

I’ve recently read the fantastic Ant’s In My Brain, and it had me feeling quite splendid reading the slow slog back from the breach for Taylor, and I find I’m hungry for more fics where Taylor ends up…changed in a better way than where she was going originally. Whether she actually goes to therapy isn’t important, but she needs to have people help her be a better person. If she goes through the classic Worm Suffering in the fic all the better. And it’d be lovely if she could be a hero, but I’m already asking a lot. Anyways, thanks to anyone who helps!

I have seen some stories with Zoey and Anne as capes but I can't think of any where Alan has powers so I'm curious.

We know that in canon there were absolutely people who worshipped the Endbringers and some people held Scion in a religious awe. Any being with enough awe inspiring power is likely gonna get worshiped by someone at some point.

Since Taylor’s power givers her the capability of performing a literal biblical plague, are there any stories out there where Skitter Skitters a little too much in her escalation and ends up inspiring some people to actually worship her? Even better if she’s horrified and embarrassed by it.

Also I specifically mean during her time as Skitter. Preferably while she’s still in Brockton Bay, during her Warlord era would be absolutely great.

Upper range would be roughly "almost triumvirate level", although I'm not picky. Majorly helping in an endbringer fight is ok, soloing them or killing them without massive sacrifice isn't what I'm looking for, for example.

Anything that fits is good really. Can be OC, altpower, crossovers, or any combination of those

While reading the fanfic *What Hides in the Shadow* and *A Champion in Bet Land*, I started wondering if there’s a fanfic with a premise that’s—how should I put it?—more hopeful.

I mean, is there a fanfic with a similar premise where a second benevolent entity (or something like that) appears and starts granting powers to people in their moments of greatest courage—like, someone who defends another person from abuse despite their fear, or something like that? so this new type of parahuman wouldn’t have any trauma and would have gained their powers by doing something heroic. Therefore, they’d be more trustworthy people to entrust with destructive powers.

Obviously, it doesn’t have to be exactly like that, but I was just curious.

It was a satire on fanon fic that opened with the locker scene, and included a trigger vision where Scion and Eden were dancing disco, if I remember correctly. I know it’s not much to go off of but it doesn’t seem to be listed in any of the satire fic threads i can find. Pretty popular i think.

Friends are doing a in person reading of fanfic, collected a couple top shelf short fics (it feels weird because my normal bare minimum for fic reading is 50k words) but they've set a read in person limit of 15k max, so just wondering if ya'll got recommendations?
