Hello everybody, I'm looking for any fics where the trio either cannot manage to successfully target Taylor, or never go after her at all as she decides not to accept it from the start. Whether this is because she already has powers or not doesn't matter to me. The only one that immediately came to mind was one where Taylor was some sort of fox girl but I already read that. Also, I can't remember the name of that one.

Hey y'all, I've been wanting to read something recently that has really good Thinker shenanigans. Specifically, leveraging them into something useful, or using binary sorting, or something. I'll also take divination, or psychic abilities, or really anything to get my fix of clairvoyant tomfoolery.

I was going to for the interpretation Knuckles can't actually hurt her with his strength because outside of more shenanigans style stuff like scion or Siberian or choking her so he just ends up getting bodied and tossed off angel island while cauldron has their way with the master emerald. I was just wondering if this seems plausible he'd have to use the master emerald to actually do anything and he wouldn't do that in character

Any fics where the MC is an actual hero? I'm not talking rogue; I mean a kind hero who helps everyone and inspires hope. I need real heroes to scratch my itch.

And I don't mean turns out to be into it or whatever, I mean more realistic level of dealing with this insane bullshit skillfully while trying not to destroy all the connections.

I've seen many people state that Smugbug is the most popular ship as it appears the most on Ao3 (432) to BioBug(123), however thing comes with asterisks, the one I've seen is that it excludes fic's purely on others sites like spacebattles (as well as others). But I've there other asterisks I've not seen as comely stated, such as works not be tagged, example Amelia is not tagged as BIoBug on ao3, although most i feel would agree it is. Even then those aren't the asterisk i want to discuss further, One big i haven't seen discussed is that it is by raw amount of fics tagged with ships, & no further criteria.

I'm arguing word count is more important, One large BioBug fic is worth an equivalent amount of smaller Smugbug fics. This has own asterisks such the previous, both share and new, like a Long fic that has romance as side plot, vs all short fics having romance as main focus, but i not gonna account for that, but acknowledge that is a area of study & may have merits if further investigated. Also other asterisk i"m sure i haven't even considered, but this will be word count

Rule: Just ao3 fics, that are tagged as either BioBug(no Amelia counted), or Smugbug, excluding ones that are not either BioBug, or SmugBug as main ship, so either neither people in ship is main character listed directly on page, & also not first ship listed, this does knock out longest listed SmugBug of Sexual assault panda with a He used to describe the Main character( Also a lot of other tags on that one that i didn't even know existed, example(Dean/Carol).

So yes, i wanted to exclude this, it's 900,000 plus words, but is longest Smugbug listed fic, but the ship listed fifth after Guts & Glory(usually i assume they mean unrequited, but given lack of clarification, & other tags/ships & think it's legit.

The new longest is the rise of sin, which is tagged as both BioBug, & Smugbug. So no poly ships, they can be the only shipped tagged with the charaters to prevent harem fics & such.

The OC/ SI has tinker based powers and I think they have been to multiple worlds. They are alone when the should have a team helping them.

I just binged Unauthorised Access in a sitting and WOW. The sexual tension between Lisa and Vicky, and Lisa and Sophia. As well as the degeneracy of Amy, just combines into something attention grabbing.

Does anyone have any other fics that do the same thing, where they show attraction and people finding people attractive (physically, emotionally, mentally) in same way, they don't even have to say it outright like many fics tend to do, just the choice of language and descriptors work wonders to show how gay everyone is. I love it, it's great.

Another example would be Paladin with the budding Taylor/Dean/Vicky throuple. It's great to see people happy with each other.

As we all know, there's a lot of tinker fics and in my opinion, a surprisingly common element seems to be bio minions (sometimes via "it's a master power, not tinker") bs, while rest seem to be robots/drones/AI, cybernetics, power armor + weapons and power replication (or all / any mix of those mentioned)... basically the most common types of tinkering that lot of times ignore the actual rules of tinkering to allow authors to either do whatever they want or copy all the tech in whatever crossover they choose.

It's surprisingly hard to find fics that actually follow rules of tinkering and do not focus on any of the above... like fics that replicate all those super agent gadgets you see in bond movies or forensic gadgets (example, goggles with different visions, gloves with chemical detectors, mask with sonar to map the building etc.) or chemicals that do different stuff (like chem-purse from big hero 6 that honey lemon uses)...

What do you guys think are most overused and least utilized types of tinkering in the fics?

Looking for a fanfiction and I cant remember what the title was, what I do remember is taylor is being bullied and she says something that switches the way people look at the bullying. She implies that Emma and her were dating and she broke it off with Taylor to be with Sophia, it changed how everyone reacted after that. Made them see this as an ex harming her ex girlfriend and they wanted nothing to do with it. Thus having the bullying lighten up.

often time fics will have the endbrings and scion (and often eidolon) blow themselves up in battle and mysteriously disappears to focus on the story which im fine with and works, many good stories do this and i dont give af however i was wondering if their any fics where this happens and it like accutally matters and shit. where it like effects the story.
