The reason for this thread's existence is the fact that both requests and suggestions can become kind of stale. It's supposed to bring out more fics that people are currently reading (or rereading), regardless of how old or new they are.

Also, not a rule or any kind of criticism, the more interesting part is not the list of the stuff you read, but your impressions of it.

I know the Worm fandom Wiki exists and likely has a large amount of infomation on it about our favourite Biblical Plague made manifest, Probably most of what I need. And I will be looking at it soon to see if it can meet all my needs, But I want to know if there is another comprohensive profile to Taylor as a character that is as unbiased and cannon compliant as possible while having more details about the spesifics of Taylors life.

She's going to be the focus of a Post GM Reincarnation Fic that I had a bit of a Brain Blast about in the last 30ish minutes, and I want to make sure I have a clear and accurate profile as Taylor, since I don't trust my own internal characterization to get somethings right.

If this is not possible, then I simply ask that you tell me of some common mistakes Authors make that I should be mindful to avoid as well when it comes to writing Taylor.

Looking for complete fics that don't have romance, are at least 50k, set in Brockton Bay, have an MC who is not selfish or villainous, and are well written (good grammar). For reference, I love Advancing Technology and I really liked the first two thirds of Nemesis.

Also, not related to this specific request, but why are there no stories where Desmond Miles (Assassin's Creed) ends up in Earth Bet? I feel like his power and skills would fit really well in the setting.

I am looking for fics where Taylor's ability to gather information is greater than what it is in canon, like in Vespa where Taylor can >!easily observe all of brockton bay in great detail while on the other side of the country!<

Preferably fics that are still updating or have reached a good stopping point

I think RBC as a character is fun, and also her power being so basic in something with the variety of Worm wraps around to being intresting. Would love to read about a Brute that isn’t Vicky or Taylor

Currently on chapter 56 of the story. I really liked the first part where Alex was just making cities. I was totally on board for a fluffy fic of a completely OP dude effectively playing a massive game of making sandcastles.

However it's now giving off similar vibes as Brockton's Celestial Forge to me, not the techno babble part, but the part where the MC is completely horrible at communication and reacting to things and also doesn't think much through, and as such basically makes everything 1000 times worse for themselves. And then has the classic worm trope of nothing really allowing for a win, where even seemingly ok actions are poisoned to turn out shitty after all.

Does this fic eventually go more towards the happy/power fantasy/wish fulfillment side of things or is it firmly on the side of canon Worm as far as general vibe and 'things get worse' goes?

would love one where a tinker makes stuff/weapons from the games, but doesnt really matter if its not, just looking for borderlands crossovers doesnt matter if its in worm or bl

I just started wondering if there’s any crossover with the Analog Horror from the Nixonverse.

For those who aren’t familiar with it, it’s a pretty popular Analog Horror series that features a rather bizarre superhero universe.

In this universe, Nixon (yes, Richard Nixon) is God, and he created this universe after escaping his original one, which was consumed by the Horned Serpent.

Frank Sinatra is the “superhero” who farms Aura every time it appears, and he has a cool helmet made from the Horned Serpent’s skull: The D-Day Knight.

Kirk Alyn is this universe's version of Superman, who—if I understand correctly—is a good person who was manipulated by nearly every entity in his universe to bring about the end of his world: The Last Son of Alcatraz

This world's version of Wonder Woman wants to destroy humanity because she believes they rejected her: Queen of the Lunarians

And damn am I in the mood for spooky Taylor. Canon powers, non Canon powers. Can anyone give some other recs for Taylor scaring villains now that I've immediately devoured the new chapter?

Hello, I am looking for your best reccomendations for fanfics where Taylor is evil and is a villain.

I want fanfics where Taylor is a warlord, where Taylor is an unrepentant killer, where Taylor has no qualms about openly fighting the PRT and heroes.

I want fanfics where Taylor doesn't try to take the highroad, where she instead seeks to make those who hurt her, hurt right back.

So some revenge fics I would appreciate.

So I thought of a interesting idea of a fic where the MC had the powers of a far except toned down by the limits of a shard, so instead of warping reality by making deals they instead just complete it to the best of their abilities and gain a favor/a connection to their powers/skills.

I planned to include true names as well and make it work kinda like Teacher or Taylor, once you have the true name you can command them to do anything and they'll complete it to the best of their ability.

Except that invalidates deals entirely. Because why go through all the effort of a deal to gain a favor if Amelia Dallon's name is public knowledge? and now you can just command her to do everything instead of trying to gain favors from her.

I tried to write a rule set but that didn't help much either.

Rule:1 you must hear their true name from their own mouth to gain the ability to command them. Same goes for you although it's a lot easier to break the command on your side if the person is weaker than you.

Rule 2: you can strike deals with anyone and they we'll owe you a favor, the scale of the deal effects the scale of the favor.

Rule 3: As long as you hold a favor you have access to their power or if unpowered then access to their skills, the scale of the favor effects how much of their power/skills you can access. Fixing all the problems in Amy's life could give you permanent access to the full might of shaper, while giving her the coffee she asked for could let you heal one person per day.

Rule: 4 you can't lie but you are pretty good at wording things just the way you want to.

Rule 5: you can use up a favor to either empower another favor(taking a favor from Amy and using it to empower a favor from Taylor to temporarily heal/mutate through bugs), empower a person(this simply gives the power of the favor instead of combining powers), or make the owner of the favor complete whatever task you set them to (once again subject to how powerful the favor was, so the coffee favor could maybe force Amy to create a spider that makes super silk.

my only thought so far has been to make it so true names don't effect capes due to shard shenanigans but that kinda feels hand wavey.

edit:I decided to go with my original idea.

rule 6: You cannot effect the true name of a cape unless you have a particularly strong favor over them (something that would be worth trading their soul over) or they give it to you while knowing exactly what doing so entails.
