Honorable Mentions include… The Magnas Archives, The Amelia Project, King Falls FM, and Spines. I couldn’t finish them and won’t rate them unless I do. It’s not that I think they’re bad, I think they’re very well made but for one reason or another they just weren’t for me.

I like things that really make you feel human. I’m not ashamed to say some of these have had me crying happy tears. I love found family. Ensemble casts. I would say I hate slow burns most of the time. I have focusing issues so I love good performances and stories that don’t get too complicated and confusing. Thank you in advance and if the list looks familiar it’s my third time posting with some new shows added.

Podcasts that never finished

I was listening to a show called BOOM by Stak and it was really good but stops at season 2 and that 2023. Got me wondering how many unfinished shows are there that never got to finish what was unfolding to be a fantastic story. Would also love to hear from creators and show runners if it’s not too painful to talk about your experience with letting a show go unfinished.

Thinking about doing reviews

I’ve listened to a fair amount of audio dramas at this point. Listed them out on this subreddit two or three times now, when I’m fishing for recommendations. I usually give a score 10 down to five as anything lower than usually means I couldn’t get into it or it was so bad I couldn’t finish it. But I really could go into depth about what I loved about some of the shows and why some get ranked lower than others. Would that be something people would be interested in? I might make short or long videos, mostly to learn and practice video editing. So I can’t promise the quality will be stellar if I do film my reviews.

Dark Heights by Realm

Does anyone know what happened to this audio drama? It’s not listed on Spotify anymore and even its website doesn’t seem to have the episodes anymore?

Idea for a meme

I can’t really make cool stuff but if someone could take the absolute cinema meme and use Ax’s head and have it say Absolute Cinnabon I think that would be hilarious,

Six months ago I posted something similar and it went really well but as time has passed I’ve enter the area of waiting for new episodes to drop and running out of things from my recommendations list. So I come to give my ratings and in hope to find more to binge listen to.

Some details about my listening habits, likes, and dislikes. I have focusing issues and if I’m not loving the voices story and characters I start zoning out and miss what’s going on. That and poor quality and I’ll stop listening. Sometimes the podcast is objectively great but I just can’t get into it. Those we’ll be in honorable mentions. What I love more than anything positive found family vibes. Emotional trauma being confronted and overcome. I love character driven stories and seasonal arcs. Sci-fi, comedy, and horror lite stories are great. If you tell a story that makes me cry I’m a fan forever. I mostly can’t stand a slow burn story. A lot of the podcasts that are good but I just can’t are mostly because the stories and arcs are slow burns. With all that here are my rankings.

Midnight Burger 10/10 Sci-fi Comedy.

Old Gods of Appalachia 10/10 Horror

Parkdale Haunt 10/10 Horror

Woodbine 10/10 Supernatural Romance Drama Mystery???? Yeah look it’s good but hard to explain.
